We had the chance to see the new Petrol Dial Fortis Flieger F-43 in person and review it. It is without a doubt a very solid watch, but is it worth your hard-earned cash? Quite possibly if love big tool watches!
The watch is not cheap but compared to offerings from Breitling and Omega, you get more watch for your money. Considering that Fortis is one of the oldest independent Swiss watch brands, there is a lot of history and tradition behind each timepiece.

Fortis are one of the truly still underrated brands on the market! Incredible watchmaker and they're not excessive in their pricing

I now own 6 fortises. I wouldn't give them away for anything in the world. I really enjoy the fact that not many people know about them and I hope this stays like that. Because if too many people learn about fortis the quality and its prestige may go down the drain.

This is a special watch. I saw it in person at the Wind Up Watch fair and almost bought it. It’s still on my “list” and I may end up picking it up come the next Bay Area Windup. Lastly, had a bit of a chat with the CEO and I was thoughtly impressed.

Fortis makes really solid products and as Jupp said in the long interview, the brand has a legacy and heritage right alongside many of the other historical Swiss brands.

they are no longer an official partner of Roskosmos (I guess it's been like 15 years already), so there will be no new cosmo series from fortis.

I have a F-39 and a 6.7''/17cm wrist and it wears great and I think the lugs look awesome. They curve downwards so it wraps around your wrist. People get too hung up about how long they sound on paper.

@@borassictime918 Well my whole point was is that its not a problem at all. It's an intentional feature. The long lugs make it look cool and unique and give it a great wrist presence. The F-41 and F-43 have long lugs for their case size as well. If they had shrunk the lugs just for the F-39 it would have come out a wimpy and dainty watch instead of just a smaller version of its big brothers.
