Totally agree! I started with 1:24 set, the two Porsches (pink pig) etc. shoulders r key, wireless controllers r key. Now after buying about a dozen 1:24 scale cars, I’ve since transitioned to 1:32 cars. I just think the scale looks better on the track. Plus, in the space I have cause I can’t download the freaking German track planner that I bought cause the directions r freaking worthless. I design my own tracks, trial and error and in the space I have, I have to use a couple of overpasses. No matter how I stabilize the overpasses, the 1:24 cars are heavy, beautiful but heavy. So, I’ve gone to 1:32 and love it. My only bitching is the F1 cars r ridiculous in price. I am not a Carerra nerd but it seems somebody or somebodies bought them all up and tripled the price. I think that sucks. I could care less about NASCAR, I wish Carerra would release cool modern F1 digital cars. My only other complaint is what’s new with Carerra? A truck to clean the track and NASCAR? Come on get creative, give us something innovative to make experience even better. I’m out! BTW, love these videos, shame they r north of the border!
The F1 cars were printed too many times with the same livery so people stopped buying them. Carrera really needed to make alternate colours for them. Now they're in really high demand.
There are many different manufacturers of cars that can be made to operate on your track. Especially stepping up in quality. You can convert to digital or modify the track to also be analog. I chose to buy less cars but really good ones and chip them myself. It’s not that hard. One way of reducing the price is to buy white versions and paint yourself. That more than covers the cost of the chip usually. I use the newest chip that has the infrared light as a separate assembly. By putting it parallel to the guide I eliminated the need for a straight section before the lane changers.
I guess if you wanting 1/24 then the 1/24 is the way to go because you get the larger cars and all the borders and to buy that stuff later on it ads up real quick!
