Im not bashing your skills or anything but almost every person that uploads garnet gameplay finds these guys that simply dont know how to use the dodge button. Like guys i fight online dodge literally every hit Garnet has cuz outside of up ai,r side air, and side tilt, she has no multi hits. Everything is dodgeable and very easily dodgeable. And sometimes they can even dodge the whole multihit. None of these videos ever show the actual struggle garnet mains have to go through to get dubs against usually way superior characters and kits. Like the steven at the start was just dogshit quite frankly. I play steven as well lol.
I agree that the Steven was horrible but it's actually more difficult for a character like garnet with no real combos to win against someone who doesn't dodge than someone who does. A character like garnet is extremely read heavy and your opponent constantly dodging is great cause that gives you a bunch of chances to punish their dodges as a good start for dodge reading most people dodge in towards you which is the easiest to punish.
One of my favorite combos as garnet is down tilt into grounded up b. If you use the projectile she shoots with that move, it turns into a powerful upwards clap during its cooldown period. Very strong
@@benergy2000Garnet main since beta. It's both. They probably bad. Bet even at the highest level Garnet doesn't have those long extensions other characters have. Like Buggs down air up air. Or Harley down slide up tilt up air. Or Steven down air up air. Garnet really doesn't have confirms like that so even tho she hits like a truck she can struggle to kill sometimes. I have clips on my channel if you wanna judge for yourself if I'm a bum or not😅. I'm still learning tho
You should use the tackle (when side special is on cooldown) more often, it can lead to so much combos and some early kill on sideways blastzones Same with the clap (when up special is on cooldown) through jab > clap around 110%, it kills quite well. And don't hesitate to catch more often with your uair cuz the timing between the first and second hit can really catch some airdodges 👍
