I agree with your points man, as someone who’s on the fence on getting custom figs, the only real time I can justify paying their prices is if the character I’m interested in is one I feel strongly for. But besides that, I can’t really bring myself to buy one of their products given that the money for one of their $30 figures could easily go to buying an official battle pack and get more quantity for my money. Either way I do hope they can lower the price for their figures as while with CAC I can somewhat justify their costs, for GCC I simply can’t due to the less detail I’m getting for the sake of Lego accuracy.
Video quality good? He played the background music irl when he was recording, because he didn't know how to add it in post. Now the whole video has the background music playing on the background sounding all muddied up, and that's not good quality. When he was showcasing the videos by other creators about GCC, he didn't bother to cut off the top line that showed him recording, and now the logo is blinking at the top constantly. Quality wasn't there, but you obviously just said that so he'd like your comment, because you 9 year olds value hearts from youtube creators more than anything else on this planet. Sorry, but I had to call out your clown behavior. The video was good, quality wasn't.
Yes and no. They allow you to get cool figures lego will never make but $30+ for a named character is egregious. Not to mention there’s only a limited stock so if you aren’t one of the first 100 people on the site during the launch of a new wave, you aren’t gonna get the new stuff. Those reselling websites are so trashy
I hope one day major Lego custom padprint creators can come together and make a more solid business, it’s a frequent irritation to search among dozens of instagram accounts showing off very interesting jedi and clone figures only to find out they have been sold out for months (some even for years) when some kind of partnership could be reached to keep the designs afloat. After all, China keeps popping up bulks of anime, gamer, football and other knocked-off licensed minifigures every six months or so, some with very nice quality, why not work together?
I think Star Wars will be getting kamas again next year. Solid Brix Studios often foreshadows insider information, and he has been proven correct every time. In a recent video he insinuated the line will be getting kamas in 2025.
i think its worth it for the especially well done ones, the rest are kind of hit or miss, it depends how badly a person wants one. There is something about the LEGO-like design on the clones, they fit in very well, but if LEGO decided to redo the clone helmet mold or something it will end up making old figures bad investments
why does all the music in your video sound like you recorded the audio from an external source? like it sounds like you had the music playing on one device, then recorded it with your phone or something
@Purple_Guy001 the products and shipping online, and depending on the region, you will have to pay some importation taxes to the delivery guy. That's alteast what happened to me
The next their figs costs as much as a CAC figure true me they are overpriced. I know they are generally smaller, but you can't tell me their figs with way less printing are worth the same as a CAC figure.
@Emil-vy7by the reason for that is because I made my order on early January of this year and i've uploaded it very recently since I was quite busy. GCC should in theory restock some of these items soon 🤞
I just started my custom journey, and it has been interesting. Currently been looking at gcc lambent striker (im a bf2 sucker), and cac hasnt made their version yet. But yeah their prices are a little high. I bought my first cac order recently with their sale but for about the same price as one gcc figure, i got 2 figures and a whole bunch of extra, but again, it was a sale. So while i think their products are good (at least from videos), their prices are a little more than I would like. Good video though
The arc troopers are 100% worth it. I bought Echo for 24$, and while it was pretty expensive, it was still a better deal than the 30$+ you're going to pay for others
@@scoutbricks4603 are you in bad mood or not. Oh well. Hopefully in a few years you can buy any lego figure from their website instead of in sets for maybe £6 each
Their high prices are worth it. When you buy from LEGO you have a chance of getting a wonky print. This rarely happens with GCC and if it does you can get a replacement. LEGO doesn’t care enough if you have a miss aligned print. I can not tell you how many official LEGO clone helmets I’ve received with shitty prints. I’ve bought tons of helmets from GCC and only even had ONE print issue.
Lego offers a service that supplies free parts. Personally, I've never had any issues, and I own around 700 figures. But yeah the quality of GCC is indeed very good
Prices are mostly high because of expensive proces of producing. Pad printing isn't that common technic. Also they need to make profit but accually they aren't selling countless figures and they need to pay taxes + other costs. Another thing is that all other custom companies are selling their products for really simmilar price. Most of the customs are 20-30$ for a figure. Some figures in GCC uses official lego helmets - that are more expensive than their ABS copies. Still I can agree that their products (as also all other custom companies) are much overpriced.
@@scoutbricks4603 it all boils down to what youre comfortable with. if you have enough to pay £30 for a figure, by all means do so. But if you can't, you are being price gated. I understand that they need to make profit etc, and GCC's prices are honestly much more affordable than other custom makers out there, take Christo for example. I feel £15 for an unnamed character, and £20 for a named figure (provided the printing adds up) is pretty good! Having that that, I bought 3 custom figures from a guy recently and it cost me over £300
It bugs me that LEGO reuses Jyn Erso's head for the minifigures of Padme Amidala, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, and Jane Foster/Mighty Thor. Luckily, I have the 2013 Padme Amidala minifigure and the 2015 _Age of Ultron_ Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow minifigure, so I can just swap their heads with those of the newer minifigures.
Only thing I want to buy from gcc is one arc trooper and fives helmet and maybe few small stuff but yeah, I think I'm buying them from a EU seller to avoid paying fees but the stuff I want takes few bajillion years to be back in stock
(Sorry for the paragraph) The reason GCC is so expensive is because they are still a very small company. CAC is very big, has much more money and physical locations. GCC only started 1-2 years ago while CAC around 12 years ago. GCC also uses official holeless helmets for their named characters which is a lot more expensive for them. At this point GCC is still small so they need to cover their costs before making much more figures. They use the excess money to buy more stuff for other figures.
I really hate the fact that Lego decided to print everything on the figures as a solution and meanwhile they don't really print all the necessary details:/
It is worth it for $18 figures with $2.50 replica helmets because the official Lego parts cost ~$1 per figure. There are also labor costs for designs and sanding off lego prints, so if figures are not so expensive then the helmets which are used to upgrade existing figures would have to cost double. GCC’s biggest issue is stock. With higher prices, they can expand production so that more people can obtain their products. After that they can lower prices. Then GCC is affordable and obtainable. Please don’t complain about prices on GCC figures. With name characters you are paying for the official helmet and the limited availability due to the rarity of official helmets (especially the ones in unreleased colors)
I'd agree with most of what you said, however I cannot justify a 5,50€ price jump when the figures don't even have Arm printing. Also smaller competitors offer better prices and as far as I'm aware CAC never reduced they're prices once they got big.
A good fairly cheap way to get whatever clones u like, is buy the new clone battle pack with the plain white phase 2 clones, get some sharpies or paint, and as long as you are careful it is easy enough to make clones like the 442nd, 327th, boil, Waxer, arc trooper Jesse (which you can use a 501st troop for) and so on and so forth
A Child when he doesn't realise how expensive it is to PAD Print minifigures and that they cant do it for literal pennies. Also you do realise you could've gotten shipping cheaper if you bought your item from an official reseller of the product? The shipping is expensive because you're having to order it from Asia
M8 i'm 18 lool, also CAC who has more printing on the figures is cheaper than some GCC products. Also the shipping prices shown are from CAC, GCC offers real cheap international shipping.
@@scoutbricks4603 CAC Also use UV Printing which is much cheaper and less time consuming to produce than PAD Printing. CAC Also Print on Fully Knock off parts making the cost even lower. GCC Also aim to have their products in the 2020 style and doesnt overprint the figures
@@flowbricks That's just straight up lying bro. They use PAD printing since they started pretty much and GCC also uses "knockoff" parts. You didn't get the point of the video, I enjoy GCC but the prices are way to high and there's no excuses for it.
