Nigeria is suffering because most of its citizens pretend everything is alright whereas in Ghana the citizens are always on their leaders demanding better treatment and comparing their political parties in government.
As a Ghanian I’m mostly not pleased with how Nigerians Hype Ghana. It makes our leaders reluctant with their duties. All Ghanaians are asking is a better Ghana. We need a yearly uninterrupted power supply, a stronger currency, jobs for the Ghanaian youth, proper banking and loaning systems, quality education, better healthcare. It’s not cool to be comparing African countries. Ghana has to do a lot better regardless.
My dear, even if it were not true, it is important for to see how others live. I pray many more of the youths travel to this neighboring countries and see how the live on lesser resources, they would come back and demand more from the government. Starting with their locals ward counselors to the local government chairman to their house reps to senators, governors and the presidency. We are too resource rich to be living poor or even living barely better than countries with limited resources. Good job on your research and using a peer reviewed clips to support your argument. Ghana 🇬🇭 is NOT a new giant of African. Ghana is heavily in debt and recently, Ghana defaulted on its debt payments. Nigeria is at its normal state now all things being equal relative to Ghana... What was holding Nigeria was the oil subsidies... which was a good policy in my opinion cos it kept the economy stable...The advent of Tinibu removing the subsidies has really caused a lot of problems coupled with the border goods embargo... Before Tinibu the economy was better... Just the economy.. All other things like education, healthcare, electricity, security.. Ghana was ahead...
