Two different comments: 1. Very close match. As soon as I saw you M2 instead of ult when you broke his block, I legitimately panicked thinking you wouldn't win. LOL 2. Ghost is still very much the best FS in the game. It has multiple different approach options, and its' pressure game is nothing to laugh at either. With having the best time to being able to walk after an M2/M1 along with having the 2nd fastest walking speed in the game, then on top of ALL of that it has an instant-hit ability that can help break block, I don't see how anyone could put it below any other FSs. The only thing the nerfs did was make it harder for Ghost to break block. That's about it. I could go more in-depth on its pros/cons, but that honestly sums it up pretty well. Keep up the awesome work! Very engaging. EDIT: Fixed typos and punctuation.
Tips for ghost jab, use it to punish a dodge, depending on the style your against you can use the jab after they PD, the jab can be used along with dash. It can also be used as bait for good players that know the penalty, so when they attack you dodge and punish the jab also will still penalty if you break block. for players that are used to the ghost jab use it often in the first stock then play mind games by using regular m1s along with ghost jabs to confuse them.
also this technically applies to all styles but ghost should be treated a little like an outboxer and let them go to you, and also while remaining distance you can punish if theyre attack is out of range
@@JaydenL.How does the ghost jab tech work y'k the one jwordz showed where you m1 then ghost jab and m1 again and it doesn't get you stunned it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't
the nerf doesn't do anything imo ghost is not gonna get affected by any damage buffs or cooldowns, the whole point is to be good at long as ur good at using it
Hey jwords to be honest the guy was great but mainly it was you who kept on digging you own grave. Most of the m2 predictions werent good which caused you to almost lose , so i think its a little toigh for you to dodge slow m2’s so you should try working on that
He was quite literally trash in this one lmfao, he was digging his own grave. He kept on getting hit and block breaked by one of the easiest m2s to dodge in the game and repeating the same mistake
I remember og times when i started playing, it was ghost update. And just imagine getting it from 20 pity... My friends were madly crying, i was shocked. Huuuuh.... Ghost jab from every jab startup, i miss u so much...
I’d say ghost is still good against every style. A counter I’ve always found is Turtle and Corkscrew. Especially Corkscrew because he basically denies a lot of Ghost pressure. And with the chip nerf, it’s really difficult for ghost to hurt Corkscrew at all. Anytime you can slow down a Ghost user and regain some health or block is when you can beat Ghost. If they maintain pressure is when you’ll fall
A mistake I keep seeing you do when you perfect dodge is using your m2 then trying to follow up with a m1. Not only is this really risky if you’re fighting one of those guys who always dodge then attack but you could get countered if you don’t have ghost jab ready for the follow up. I recommend using a m1 chain and if you think about it, it does way more damage and it has no risk as well as doing a lot of block damage if they still have some left. Although this would only work for styles they deal good block damage like slugger, but this could also work if you have a weak damaging style like ghost if you fight someone with weak block like slugger, freedom or hawk. I personally main slugger and spam this one annoying m1 chain where I use sluggers m2 with my last bit of stamina but I don’t charge my heavy no matter what so I can confuse people while doing massive damage and block break. Btw sluggers m2 doesn’t deal more damage if you charge it up or not.
Ok that was a cool battle i ever see in your video, that smash player almost win if he focus to prefect dodge instead try break block you (i almost have a heart attack)
Ghost DOES have a major weaknesses and that is the Anti-Dash Spam system takes alot more stamina on Ghost so at maximum, ghost can only dash consecutively 4 times
Ghost has very good potential, just don't give your opponent remember all your moves (don't act every time the same, switch tactics) and don't spam your ghost jab for way too much (otherwise that would be so predictable)
Ghost is still the greatest style in the game hands down. No other style besides a few odd ones here and there (namely, Corkscrew and Counter in particular) can be as versatile and well balanced as Ghost. It's rewarding for all playstyles, has arguably the best abilities in the game, is very easy to pick up and get good with, and is just really solid in all fronts. Anyone who thinks Ghost is anything less than a high A tier, OR who think Ghost's nerf was really bad, needs to be completely fact checked. Ghost has been, and probably will remain, the greatest style ever added to the game, as ALL it's versions were either stupidly strong or mildly mediocre at WORST. I think they should bring back the damage on block, however, since passive play can be pretty awful (most matches with Turtle and Corkscrew last FOREVER due to their defensive abilities). I only hope the chip comes back at the expense of the jab being able to be PUNISHED (seriously, since launch Ghost has NEVER been punishable, if anything, YOU get punished for trying to punish THEIR mistakes 😭). TLDR: Ghost is goated, Turtle and Cork should be used more in this Ghost Meta, and Drowning needs to fix the way the stun on Ghost works.
These nerfs hardly affect Ghost. You don't really notice a difference (meta-wise), the only thing you notice is the longer ghost jab cooldown, which doesn't hinder it that much. The problem is when you're fighting a style that has very good block (like turtle), very fast jab's and heavy's, Good overall (Corkscrew with the insane healing and less stamina consumption, Hands low with less stamina consumption and trickster with less dash penalty); that's when you start seeing the nerfs, but you can 100% still play around it if you are good with ghost.
If anything these balance changes just made ghost the best style in the game lol. Iron Fist previously was above Ghost by a small margin imo but after Iron Fist got a huge dash nerf and Ghost got small nerfs I think Ghost is definitely better now
You all have some type of problem. Always saying the same thing "The style is useable", like, how many ghost have you encountered this months? Very few for me, that just show that the style is trash
@@Chinelo1234agaro First of all, this comment is 2 months old, things have change. And lastly, just because people don't use the style its trash? That's not how things work, why'd you think the word underrated exists?
The only reason people would say tha ghost is bad is because they dont want a special ability, they just want to have all of their jabs be ghost jabs, just like old ghost
I still hate Ghost, when I play Ghost, it's like I can't box for sh*t, but when others play Ghost, it's like I'm fighting a boxing champion. The one thing I hate the most about Ghost is the fact that you can't see the highlights, they should've at least made the heavy for Ghost highlight-visible.
Bro smash is pretty good too like look at the vid one bad punch and you know that m2 is coming to your face and dealing so much damege or breaking your block
I think ghost ain’t bad even the nerf cuz the passive can kill the cd time and literally it still the same previous ghost (the one that before ghost buff)
Man, I'll say one thing and forgive me the main Ghost but this style is very boring to fight, you basically just hit, hit and hit, recover energy and do it all over again until you win or the person gives up, it's so boring that fighting against this style *(I picked up this style recently, I fought about two or five fights and simply changed styles because it was very boring)* and in relation to the nerf, for me it's still the same boring and irritating thing to face
Tbh ghost was the least that suffered nerf. Ghost jab cooldown now let's the enemy have more time to approach the enemy and they can't just keep mashing m1 do chip out your block
Idk why but for some reason it tick me off a bit when he was doing m1 then would stop walk away out pf his range to let his guard down then dont use ghost jab there cuz thats what i usually do to pressure them
@@username9019 yeah ur right but as what i can see in this video it was working on him as the smash pro would jab then stop wait for him to do something then jab if he tries to attack or do the thing that i just said so it woulf still work to an extent cuz its not really your playstyle but rather can be used as a trick to improve your playstyle
I dont think an instant get out of jail free card with no highlights and amazing speed is ever going to be bad, it took a god damn smash (one of the most op abilities in the game) to take you out when you were basically new to the style
Smash m2 is nowhere near being one of the strongest abilities in the game, it has a long wind up and always come from one side, it's entirely skill issue if you keep on losing to smash m2s
@@monkeyl- the m2 isn’t the problem, it’s everything else. That m1 is one of the best in the game, since it’s really fast, has disjoined animations, and has incredible range. It’s damn near impossible to dodge without guessing. There’s a reason all of the pro players use it.
