me personally i subscribe to the "seek and ye shall find" mantra of understanding religion. So I naturally cringe when people try to convince me of a belief that they themseles were spoonfed by someone else.
that's the basis of my faith, Hinduism, though most don't know that. I fully support your idea and endeavour. If you seek a faith, or even spirtiuality, why can't we take from different faiths and find the good things that work for us? Hell, I started going to bible seminars once in a while just bc some of the sermons preach such lovely messages.
To answer the initial question, "Are all religions the same?" The answer is "yes", if they are world religions. World religions all have the same common thread: "What must I do to earn God's favor?" God is not at all desiring for humanity to be immersed in any world religion; He is desiring relationship, and it can only come by faith through the One who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

When any group of people agree on a way of devotion or worship, religions form. So where are the disagreements among men? As long as there is interpretation and interpolation is it possible to cross the gap? The television being the church isn't far off. Great video!

I'm "native" looking Puerto Rican but my religion is Yoruba. I actually was at a "Botanica" today buying idols for my lab. I build AI for the purposes of monitoring and simulating the environment, totally not what you would expect from a devout religious person but the God I'm under control technology and warfare so it goes good.
There is but one source from which all has sprung, its that simple every thing else is a idea emanating from that one so “yes” God is “ONE” for if there were one or any that stood next to or outside of God than that wouldn’t be the supreme reality that is God, which is all encompassing and all pervading, birthless and eternal, spark of all creation. The idea of God framed from the perspective of humans into religious doctrine, are all attempting to do the same thing, and that is to synthesis this supreme reality into human understanding so we can bring down to meet us here on this plane in plain word and story. Analogy - So be it that differant lenses may produce differant results when gazing at the sun, you are still trying to comprehend it’s brilliance. Emphasizing the differances in religions is being in thought nowhere near what God is, for that which is beyond, above, and about all is neither of these religious icons and at same time all of them. To know God, one must wrap their head around the All. Anything short of this is an idea branching from this great tree that sustains all that ever could and will exist.

I asked myself is it possible to be a spiritual non believer or religiously secular ? I have been choosing different aspects from different religions to shape a personal moral guide. I have been scolded by Christians, Muslims and Atheists for refusing to claim one religion. I've been influenced by Christianity through my grandmother, I was also influenced by Islam through my cousin in Alaska plus Malcom X. I have been influenced by Buddahism through personal spiritual discovery and I've even been influenced by Atheism through one of my neighbors. I am pretty sure all religions have some positive qualities so I found it unwise to close your mind into exploring religious traditions that originated before and after your religion of choice existed. It seems some people are not aware that Semitic religions are connected to Abraham as their father. Semitic religions include Judaism, Christianity and Islam. This semester at Humboldt (Cal Poly) I was introduced to Jainism and I related to a lot of their beliefs . Thank you for all of the info you share in your videos.

I presume that if there is a God then He/She/It must have a lower opinion of religion than I do. If God created the universe then S/He had to know Einsteinian physics long before Einstein figured it out. Search the Bible for 'transla' and you will find multiple mentions of Enoch. Like Enoch did not die. Enoch was no longer here because God took him. Enoch was "translated". What does that mean? How do you translate a human being? There is another peculiar character, Melchezideck. The Bible says be did not have a mother. How could that be possible? What if Enoch and Melchezideck are the same person and God translated/transported Enoch through space-time using Einsteinian physics. No significant amount of time passes for Enoch and he tells everyone that his name is Melchezideck. He arrived on Earth in that time without being born. No Mother! Are all religions just different human distortions of truth to play power games by brainwashing children? Wouldn't God have to know this? How could God's "Free Will" philosophy cope with this human stupidity?

his book title is biblical blasphemous because God is one, a better title would have been "we all don't worship the same one God" , but God is one meaning He needs to be the number one priority in people's life. Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."
I've been watching Joseph Campbell's lectures lateyl, and what he seems to think is that every religion is one, except judaism...he thinks judaism is wrong.
