If you’re at a restaurant that serves anything truffle and they don’t shave it on your food in front of you, they’re using truffle oil and charging more.
Kinda strange that I've been bingeing youtube marathons of Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell and this is also my newest subbed channel. Serendipity? After entire seasons in the past week, it would be hilarious if 2014 Gordon was there. After UA pointed out the chairs, I could hear old Ramsey's voiceover through the entire vid as if he was there... "My God, forty fucking minutes to get a burger and all we've seen is pretentious gas flames making everyone sweat, and no doubt spending money every minute", "Dear Gott man, you've put your photo the front of the fucking menu, yet my chair is fucking broken and defaced", "Dear God, is this a menu or a fucking map? Where is the treasure?", "Dear God, I fell asleep halfway through the speech describing the map." "The apps, drab, expected. The salads, themed, unexciting. The burgers? Asadero cheese and jalapenos? Might as well give me a fucking elk quesadilla!!!" "Dear God, $12 chips in an area looking for value, with truffle overpowering everything to justify appearing posh!" "Fawking 'ell, after 45 minutes the orders arrive. I can smell truffle, the ketchup is superb, but the truffle is non-existent in my aoli...I'm beginning to wonder if Gordon is pulling the wool over his customer's eyes." "The burger...nicely stacked, bun nicely done, cheese appropriate, but my Gawd...what is that Greedo head on top? Is that supposed to be an avacado? Why the fuck is there an avacado on a damn burger?!?!" "Right, um, the burger is unremarkable, the wait is too long, and while they can't deliver inflated food, the customer suffers. All while the owner's smug face watches you from every angle..." "The owner, predatorial and pretentious, is in denial of how he's perceived. Service has gone well, but only time will tell if burger has the ability to succeed..."
Unpopular opinion: A bigger, taller burger doesn’t make the burger better- it actually DETRACTS. Bro I’m not trying to strain my jaw, and then have a burger fall apart- these types of burgers are obnoxious.
You're supposed to smash it before you eat it thats why they didnt slice the avocado or the egg you have to cut it so it runs to the middle then smash.
Agreed - I usually don't order burgers at sit down restaurants for this reason. I get that they put more toppings to reflect the higher price, but when you have to smush the burger, take a bite and half the toppings fall out and sauce goes everywhere, it's not a pleasant experience lol. And like UA said, too many ingredients end up masking each other.
Great review as always UA. I walk past the Gordon Ramsay burger in Chicago every day and it is never busy. I think the prices are a few dollars cheaper here. I've never been tempted in the slightest with all the great food we have here. You need to come to Chicago for some superior real people food at better prices.
Hi UA, I commented in your "Trying VEGAS' OLDEST STEAKHOUSE! Golden Steer Steakhouse Review" video stating that I was in Vegas recently and visiting the Gordon Ramsay Burger where I tried the $26 Backyard Burger and I was recommending you try this Ramsay Burger restaurant. I also was disappointed with the Backyard Burger. I felt the ingredients on the burger overpowered the flavor of the actual beef and I also orderd a medium but mine was overcooked and they gave me well done. I also was surprised the waitress told you what the most popular burger was and what she recommended because our waiter never said anything to us. My brother and I were disappointed in the burgers and thought the place is only coasting on its Gordon Ramsay brand and not so much the food. One of the best burgers I ever had surprisingly was downstairs and inside the Empire State Building. Don't remember the name of the restaurant. The ESB burger was 10000% tastier, juicier, and more flavorful than the Gordon Ramsay burger and it was half the price too.
I appreciate your reviews and your honesty! I have watched so many of your reviews and always enjoy them. And, being a 66 year NJ boy (and moved to Florida 5 years ago), I get home sick for NJ diners!
I like your content and the way you review the food. You give a very honest reviews and that you do it "for you the channel, you the people lol. I wrote down the names of the other burger joints you mentioned and will try them out. Keep doing what you're doing. continued success my brother.
@ryangies4798 I posted before he released the video! His was definitely over cooked! My stout burger was excellent and my wife's chicken burger was A++++! The English toffee shake was delicious. Fries were very good too! Top 3 burger in Vegas imo and I live here!
Big fan of you and your channel. Just a suggestion, if you are there reviewing the burger (based on the title and name of the restaurant) you should start with the burger and not the fries. To be fair you should eat the burger fresh and hot and not let it get cold while you review the side dish first.
I've eaten at Ramsey Burger in Planet Hollywood and I got the 24 hour burger. I too thought it was overrated, but I would go back to try a different burger. It was good but not worth the $33 price! As far as the wait, I'd suggest getting an app, specifically the _Street Corn Dip!_ It was amazing and very tasty! I would go back for it!
Unless Gordon Ramsey himself cooks that burger, it isn't worth that price. I've eaten at a Bobby Flay burger joint, and the burger was about the same as a Burger king burger. Definitely not worth the upcharge. There are a lot of places you can get a good burger. Paying extra, even for a chef you admire, just seems like a cash grab. Unless it's the chef themselves cooking the food. I would pay $50 for a burger cooked by Gordon Ramsey. But it's not worth his time to cook for me. Or even for a restaurant full of people. You don't get to his level to cook for a pleb like me! ^-^
More so, the ambiance is below average in that place. Way too loud and felt rushed to get you out of there so the table could be cleared for another customer.
Gary Eats brought me here. He mentioned your channel recently. Give some love to Gary, his channel is growing fast. Thanks for the reviews, subscribed. Greetings from London 🇬🇧
was it better than in n out? i had my first in in out last week, i ordered the double double meal,it was only $10, came with a drink and fries. i'm still dreaming about it. if i ever go back to the west coast, i cant wait to go back.
You are right about the Vegas location. I had a burger there and while technically well put together it lacked flavor in the meat which was surprising. The mangalitsa bacon was nothing special maybe because it was too crisp. Don’t think anyone can say that a Gordon Ramsay burger beats out a local favourite anywhere. I am a fan of Ramsay but in this l think the Vegas location is lacking.
Yeah I too am a fan of Gordon's but I was not impressed with his burger joint. Maybe it's just the Vegas location. I wonder if his Vegas restaurants are less good in general, as I really enjoyed his Pub & Grill in Atlantic City but I went in Vegas and I found that location less good.
Those French fries are regular frozen fries ordered from Cisco around the country. By masking them with parmesan cheese, they mask the fact that they are cheap frozen French fries.
Amen...... People don't understand that if in mass we were unwilling to pay exorbitant prices prices would be lowered instead they love spending money they don't have on things that aren't worth their pricing
I’d be hard pressed to pay that much, but so what if other people want to? It’s their money. Besides, doesn’t almost everyone have something that they value that other people would not pay for?
@@trekkeruss This is a pretty good take. There are TONS of food items that are just overrated (and I hate that word). Food that is just priced super high that doesn’t deliver in ways that cheaper (less pretentious) items do. But you nailed it- it’s their money. Let people do what they want with the money they worked for- it’s their right. (It’s also our right to laugh at these people😂)
I just looked … and the first burger is $8 less at his Chicago and Boston locations (others are $10 less). But fries do come with the burgers in Vegas.
That chair was not only old but waiting to fall apart. There was a screw missing at the top and several towards the bottom were halfway out. and the ones in the middle had screwheads that were all at differing levels of protruding beyond flush fit. Some Nevada PI attorney is going to have a negligence case on his/her hands soon.
SMH at the prices… even with the high prices, there’s people waiting in line? Crazy. Food looked delicious but I’d never spend that much on burger & fries.
@@AvocatDudePrices are up. Across the board. Fieri’s joint in the Linq, no one’s idea if high end, has burgers in the mid 20s. Holsteins in the Cosmo is in that same price range. Plenty of excellent eating options though. And good deals.
I like your approach > how you dissect the( burger) from the buns to the condiments to the meat ect, the burger looks very dry ,the more you touch the bun ,the more it start to crumble ! i agree with you they should have slice the avocado and place it evenly across the bun, it looks like something you would fine in the Mojave Desert lol > nice job > SizzleSal's
I got a burger at his pub restaurant in Cesar’s Palace. It was juicy but bland. Could’ve gotten one from anywhere for less , but the restaurant was pretty
I absolutely avoid these kinds of places. There are far better places-the place is over crowded and loud, rushed, insanely over priced, gimmicky. It just screams TOURIST TRAP. Paying that much for a burger and fries, and a few drinks costs more than $100 after taxes and tip?
Here in the UK, most people laugh at these celebrity restaurants. They are just pretentious and who wants to pay a fortune for a burger when there are plenty of cheaper alternatives at half the price which taste just as good if not better? I feel Ramsay's restaurants are just a con but each to their own.
It seems loud and the burger looks like it's hard to eat. It doesn't look like the kind of place I would enjoy. I definitely wouldn't want to pay premium prices for it.
It wasn’t bad but not worth the hype. It’s one of those things when you vacation in LV you can say you came, saw and experienced Gordon Ramsay burger. I would only have it again if no line and reduced prices.
@@nebraskaryan9308It’s what happens when you have a president who spends money like a sailor. Who gave away money and demanded more from Pelosi. Thanks Trump.
I went to the pub and the burger was underwhelming to say the least. I’ve paid over $20 for a burger at Minetta tavern in New York and that’s probably the only expensive burger I would buy again. Sorry Gordon…UA is on point here.
Last time i went, Gordon Ramsay Burger was definitely a disappointment. I think the best burger in Vegas is "Victory Burger". One of the best burgers I've ever had hands down.
was there when you started with 200 subs . so happy that you are reaching 50k. I honestly love your style, its so inviting, I hope you continue for years to come
Thank you so much for supporting me for so long! I remember those 200 sub days very well and it's surreal how far we've come. Hope the channel keeps growing!
@@uaeats Only Issue I have, is you don't Rate the Food on a Numeric Scale like 4/5 or 3/5. It would relly Improve your Videos if you did, just like how Dave Portnoy does with Pizzas.
I actually stayed at the Excalibur when it first opened. And I do remember Fudruckers. They had good burgers. As for the burgers. I wouldn’t pay that much for a burger. My belief is your paying for the hype at that place in Vegas
it isn't her fault. it is like going to gamestop back in the day and the cashier gives you the look of please just let me get through this script or they are going to fire me
I think it's really obnoxious to charge $20-30 more to set near an open-air kitchen (and a 45 minute wait for food seems like a lot - and I waited a long time to take my daughter to Mr. Beast at the American Dream Mall). I also think it's a little over the top how Gordon has his photo everywhere - even on the menu. I understand it's his restaurant but you don't see Daniel Boulud's photo everywhere in his restaurants lol. That being said, I really enjoyed your review! Also, I appreciated how you spent a good deal of time letting us look at the menu while the waitress explained the items. I somehow find myself interested in foods I normally don't eat when you review them since you do such a good job describing them :)
Yeah, that rubs the wrong way, an upcharge to sit near the open air kitchen. It's not like you're getting an actual chefs table, that is just an open air kitchen. And if you're paying $34 for a burger and $20-30 for a drink, you should get decent chairs. I didn't like the ambiance/interior personally. Swimming in tv screens does not make for a nice dining experience and something about the place felt cheap. Huge pic of Ramsay also, the whole thing felt crass, but maybe that is Vegas style for you. I just don't want to pay that kind of money for a crass experience like that. Too bad.
I dont think he was involved that much in this restaurant.. probably just hired a team to set this up or maybe just some company pay to use his name and he just send someone like his executive or corporate chef to do it for him.. his real restaurant in london dont put up a giant phot of his face
What? Why would someone need to pay extra to sit near the open kitchen? So if all regular tables were full, and only kitchen ones are available, I need to pay extra $20… that’s a rip off for sure.
Another amazing review! I love to see how much your channel has grown! I have to agree with your review. When celebs slap their names on something the price goes up at least 20%. No reason why the meat wasn't better quality. And a drink was 22 dollars? We expect more from you Gordon.
@@NoahEats that is why you get the BS "we make everything fresh, it should be 25 minutes" warning. they know you will hang for at least 30 because "oh just any minute now...."
Most (all?) of his places are very overpriced and overhyped, countless better options out there. Want to love them more than I do, but he keeps opening up more and more. 2 just opened in Bangkok.
With the way Ramsey talks about the meat blend in his burger, it's surprising that it would only get an above average rating. For 26 bucks it should knock your socks off.
I went there 2017 and while I don't remember exactly how it was, I remember at the time it was one of the best burgers I had. I don't even remember which burger I ordered
I've been to the Burger in Chicago. I don't remember it being bad, but then again I don't remember much about it at all. While Chicago prices are cheaper than the Las Vegas strip, I would agree with you that you are not really getting what you're paying for and it's not worth the hype.
All these truffle flavoured items have chemical compounds similar to that of the natural truffle, however they are all engineered on a chemical level and therefore isn't anything natural like the mushroom that grows.... that's why they tend to stay mild and hidden behind much stronger and less sharp umami flavours like Parmasan
I don’t want to sound like a total douche, but we are so spoiled with burgers here in NYC. It’s hard to find really GREAT Mexican in NYC. It’s not exactly easy to find superb sushi that isn’t 14 bucks a piece….I could complain about other food that’s lacking in NYC…but when it comes to burgers, we are truly in a league of our own. People in the NYC area: Try the Red Hook Tavern burger, in Red Hook. I’m telling you, it’s worth the trip. Keep this between us…
