Is Grounded Worth Playing in 2023? 

My brother refuses to play with me cause he said it was bad on the first day the early access came out

played when it was in early access, on a free weekend on steam. My wife later started watching twitch streams of it and got really into it. We just started playing and it's greatly improved. I had been burnt out on survival crafting games, but this one is polished enough and doesn't feel like I'm clocking into my second job.

As someone who's always been intrigued in this game but never played it, this video definitely did it for me💯. Mainly will describing how many items are in the game. I was thinking there wasn't much if anything in terms of items and building 🎉

Over 600 hours into Grounded. It's my favorite survival game I've ever played. A game that rewards you for checking every nook and cranny. Im a completionist, so I enjoy unlocking and finding everything the game offers.

This game has me hooked. I played a few times but didn’t give it time and just deleted it. But now that i’ve given it time i cannot get enough of it … It scares the sh*t outta me too which not many survival games do 🤣 It also has me wanting to break my setup to pieces sometimes (because of falling from a height mainly) Overall i highly recommend it to anyone … give it time and you will not regret it

It was always worth playing but definitely could use some tweaks to this day like upgrades, non-story content/things to do

Yes, a friend and I started this 2 weeks ago and it's premise and mechanics are really fun. They clearly took a look at QOL mods to other survival games since there are quite a few of them just built into the game.

180 hours into it from when it released and I don't regret a thing. Still haven't beaten the game and I'm 100% fine with the pace I'm going. It's an amazing game and it's got such charm

So far only seem positive comments, so really surprised. I wonder if there's a group that 'won't enjoy this game", like don't like grinding a lot etc

I started again after 1.0 but didn’t finish it. I would like to start fresh with all the quality of life changes, because honestly my biggest gripe playing the whole time was running out of space to carry things and building towers all over to make zip lines. I would like to build a proper centralized base. My only real wish is that the optional bosses were given story reasons to beat them, and if they wanted to balance out the end game a bit better would be nice but I haven’t played that anyway so no harm no foul I guess lol

Game is worth to buy on any platform, yeah gamepass is probably the most played version but you should try it, is an old school game based on a movie from the 80's. Is like Subnautica but more action focused and multiplayer, graphics are pretty and the game can be surprisingly challenging. I'm playing it right now and is one of my favorite games of all time just be patient the start is kinda rough then you begin to tame the world.

put 50 hours solo and another 50 with a friend. What I personally like more about this game compared to other survival games, is that its more fast paced in regard to traveling the map and combat as well. I tried getting into project zomboid, but it just wasnt for me. I really gave it a chance since the reviews for the game are outstanding.

I did start playing grounded in like the end of may and first i was like this game is not for me. I did put more time on the game amd now i cant stop play it. Its a awsome game and i hope to see more updates or a second grounded thats bigger. More of everything. Game is fun i like it.

It's a great game, but the storyline has been trumped by its grindy nature. I see no need to max weapons and gear if you're going to complete the main quest line. I'm so happy that my progress was saved over the years but at a cost. That cost is not being able to toggle options in-game as that option is greyed out cause I continued on the same save files at launch.

Played early access, loved it, so waited till full release. The co-op problems are killing this game. Between the disconnect issues and the crazy amount of materials needed to upgrade weapons and armor. 😥

I am having problems with the saves menu, it's buffering A LOT and the only day it didn't was on Saturday. I really need a tutorial on how to fix this.

They keep expanding the game, so it definetly worth buying if its on sale. Who knows what might come into the game in the future.

I like this game but it's also very slow, slow games are nice but most don't have the time to put into a game like this and I can see exactly why people dislike this game but sometimes it's mostly down to people over playing it without taking a break

Came here because they announced a PS5 release, and wanted to see if it's the kind of game I'd be into. How frequent must you drink/eat?

They keep nerfing things that are good...and keep making the bosses harder because they are listening to the 10% that wants it more difficult. Mild should be mild...if people want it harder play on the harder difficulty.

As a fan of games: A developer should make a game like honey I shrunk the kids. And make it third person. Where you doing parkour, leaping over twigs and falling grass blades, running away from all the bugs ants, bees, and wasps and worms to name a few. But at the same time you can tame them and ride them. Just imagine taming a bee or wasp and flying around the neighborhood. And you can be mischievous and sting people. Go to wars with other bug clans. Have certain missions where a evil Neibor (mr stimplton) tries to destroy all the bugs and hires exterminators. Tons of ways to spin the story. This is just a few ideas but it’ll be fun. This game in my opinion looks lazy. It had so much potential. I’m sick of these card collecting borderline micro transaction type games.

Has everything been nerfed from the 1.1 upgrade? I have come back after a few month but I can no longer beat the normal brood mother carrying 20 meaty green machine and its killed me 10 times in a row even after stacking food buffs. It has put me off attempting the new wasp boss and infected brood mother even with all 1.1 boss weapons and armour fully upgraded.

Im 42, don't care for survival games, had this downloaded on my external for about a year. Started playing and, I'm 170sh days in game. Have a pretty big base. I haven't been focused on the story. Just trying to survive in the back yard as a person smaller than a d6 die. So much more to explore.

I'm on a console and I can't play more than 30 minutes Without It crashing. But they said the game is complete though. Nothing super about that

I waited to play it until recently as I KNEW the full release would be terrible. I knew it would be from the moment we first heard that the game would be finished by the end of last year. MM had no influence on that. So I avoided the game until I felt that MAYBE it was worth playing again. It's...okay. Still kind of easy though even on Woah, but I know not everyone can handle that mode. My only issue it there is no reason to actually play on a harder difficulty because "just for a challenge" is silly. They need to add difficulty exclusive items, gear, something that players playing on lower difficulties wouldn't be able to get. Don't get me wrong, I love a challenge but beating something just for the sake of it isn't good motivation for me. Dangling a juicy top tier piece of gear/cosmetic that you can only get for showing actual skill and dedication, THAT motivates me. I like having things that many others won't have. I want people to look at me and SEE my accomplishments. I want to stand out from everyone else. Selfishly, I want people to be envious. That's my reason for taking on the toughest challenges any game has to offer.
