To me the 3D era of GTA games is the golden era because the games just had so much personality and a clear identity. And most of all they were made purely as single player experiences without milking them for the maximum amount of money possible. So all games in the 3D era are worth playing.
GTA V had a very disappointing storyline in my opinion. It was also very disappointing how they cut out SF and LV despite all the years they delayed the initial release.
@@BOSSDONMAN Yup. I despise the story and characters of GTA V. To me personally, they are awful. And that's a real shame because the actual game, the mechanics, the graphics, etc. are really good. But the story just kills it for me. I still played it and finished it but I skipped cutscenes after a certain point because I just couldn't stand them and didn't care at all about the story. It's the only GTA game I've completed where I skipped cutscenes. Even with Chinatown Wars I never did that.
I bought GTA V and haven't played it once. I just bought it just to make sure I had it when I get the urge to try it. I could tell from the trailers that it was all flash and no substance. I know they spent a lot of money major the game and of course they want to make it back, but they've been milking this cash cow to the point of no return
Tbh I got it free some time ago and it was a little nostalgic but I played it a lot before San Andreas released so I couldn't even finish it before becoming bored! 😅 However if you haven't played it before the story is worth while just get it on sale! Or like me get it on you're phone, I got San Andreas to play when I'm taking a dump! Guys this game is like 20 years old!
I was born in 1994 but playing this game when I was young made me appreciate and almost feel like I've lived in the 80s. I love the 80s because of Vice city. Miami nights 1986 baby!
I remember playing Vice city 10 years back with my elder brother when i was 5. Now im 15 and i cant forget these memories. However my dad deleted the game when i was 6 because he saw me hijack a car 😂😂😂
Man, I love how the RU-vid algorithm recommending small channels like yours! The earliest memories of my childhood of Vice City, was the fucking RC helicopter mission in which the controls cucked everything until you completed the mission after two hours with bleeding fingers holding your Playstation 2 controller. Or slaughtering everyone in the club for sport :D All in all good and compact review of Vice City, especially the emphasis on the background music while you talk. One point which I noticed is your microphone, but maybe you could improve your audio quality in the long run. It's not bad tho'. Maybe we are too spoiled in RU-vid of 2023. Keep it going and don't let yourself be discouraged in the process. Content like yours make RU-vid a better place! :)
Nah i had to record this video on my phone and do alot of equalization to make the audio sound decent. I ussually record stuff on my PC, but i couldnt record on my PC for this video bc of personal reasons. Trust me youre not spoiled, the mic quality sucks ass
I played this game religiously as a kid on the og Xbox, and I absolutely loved it! Sure the graphics and controls certainly haven't aged well. But at the time this game was ground breaking! They really did not do it justice when Rockstar released their "definitive" edition a couple years back. If you ever have to chose between the original game or the definitive "remake/remaster/downgrade" edition, then absolutely go for the original all the way!
I used to love the PS2 era gta games and I still do to some extent but they have aged bad. Everything from the driving to shooting and the controls just feel off, it’s hard to like it for what it was once you have gotten used to way better gameplay mechanics. But the whole atmosphere in VC/San Andreas is hard to beat if you manage to look past the bad things.
Just got recommended this, ride the lightning! Edit: Just have to say GTA VC was a goldmine, and probably had the best soundtrack in the series, other games had a much larger amount of music, but this one for how small it is, was absolute gold
Vice City was the game I grinded the most as a kid. The soundtrack alone males it worth playing. I have the PS2 version and the Definitive Edition on my PS5. Definitely worth playing still 21 years later.
This game is a classic but I also recommend you all GTA Vice City Stories if you intend on playing through an emulator. The game is an underrated gem and is a prequel to the Vice City events
Played it when it was released and I still play it periodically still. And I’ll continue to play it bc there’s no game like it. Except maybe Vice city stories
I used to play the shit out of this game when I was 6 in 2007 at my Uncle’s. I would literally just go over to play GTA Vice City on the PS2; I had no idea I was playing one of the most legendary games from a legendary franchise 🫶 I’m replaying it on PS2 for my 3rd time and it definitely holds up for being from 2002! Let’s hope GTA 6 delivers as well!
By total chance I was IN Miami for Xmas through New Years of 1986. I was 15 at the time but remember hearing gunshots when we would grab Cuban food from Little Havana
to b e honest I wish RockStar would have made it to where you could swim in GTA 3 and GTA Vice City it would have solved some problems and made the games better but the fact that the newer games a remix of GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas would have been better if the people who put in the work would have set the Controls for a Console and not like the GTA games for a mobile Device that in my humble Opinion was a mess up they could have avoided since the games was marketed for a Console and not a mobile Device
I've spent more than $200 in the past month trying to aquire a 1st print Vice City for Ps2. Original soundtrack, no alterations. I just got one in the mail. Perfect condition, panflit, map, mint game all with the right SLUS code. I feel like a 31 year old child on Xmas morning. Now for San Andreas....
Beating R* Body Harvest with 0% harvested, 0% killed and all secret crystals and artifacts was harder than getting 100/100 stars in Manhunt and 100% in GTA III-IV combined
Worth playing yea but the controls are hell on earth. Every time I die in Vice city I’m standing their pressing the wrong button or something or dude will aim at the wrong people entirely and I can’t change it. San Andreas is way better in that regard
Here's an answer for any of you reading this. All of the 3D Era gta games, YES! Meaning: Gta3, GtaVC, GtaSA, GtaLCS, and GtaVCS all of them are awesome classics and despite the games having certain aspects of them aged very badly (like controls) they should be experienced by anyone who's into gaming Also little bonus for you play gta 4 and it's episodes from liberty city. You will absolutely love it. Better then gta 5 by a long shot
The intro to the game with all the 80s video game stuff alone is worth playing. But the long answer is Absolutely, anyone who's a ps2 era kid like myself, knows how special the Entire Gta 3d universe was, it was 6 games of beautiful story telling and each game had something to do with the other in some way, it was one Giant story and all games involved were and still are LEGENDARY. it honestly breaks my heart that the average Kid/teen these days only thinks you're referring to Gta V when talking about playing Gta , its also just sad they don't know what they missed out on. Between my PS Vita and my switch, I'm playing this classic prolonged story once more from Gta VCS all the way to Gta 3 and it's a journey I'm glad to be back on. Gta VCS (1984) Gta VC (1986) Gta SA (1992) Gta LCS (1998) Gta advance (2000) Gta 3 (2001) 🐐Sh*t
The original trilogy is not worth play for alot of people especially those who come in new generation but if you looking for nostalgic moment it's the best especially if you are a mod developer bcz as i see in gta forms the community just keep this old trilogy working with to much creative idea
One thing that you got incorrect about your review Tommy, wasn’t bailed out by the mafia he was let out on probation. It’s even clearly stated in the opening cut scene of the video game at all them. All bosses are confused and surprised that they let Tommy out of prison. In the plot point, the reason why they move him to vice city is the keep keep things going how they were already running as son he had a personal dislike for Tommy. He didn’t want him working or doing with any of the made men or a Porten people of the mafia. So to Sunny, Tommy was the perfect guinea pig to send out the vice city. If he screwed up then sunny can deny that he had anything to do with Tommy’s actions out invites city, and if he was major successful, but he could take all the credit for what Tommy built up in vice city, so either way it was a win-win.
GTA: Vice City is a perfect game to be playing again in 2023. Here's my argument: Rockstar outdid themselves when they created Vice City by creating a game with even more diverse content than the original III. Then they outdid themselves again with San Andreas. I replayed San Andreas sooo much over the years because it was simply the best of the III series GTA games. I never really replayed Vice City because San Andreas came out shortly after. But after years of replaying San Andreas. I am bored with it and now if I ever feel like playing a III game, Vice City is the most attractive choice.
To us veterans: yes. I’ve tried to get people to play it for the first time now, and they play for 5 minutes and lose interest and go back to the newest game. The reality is; no it’s not. You’re not gonna get a new gamer or someone who has no nostalgia for this game to give a shit.
Gta 1 and 2 wete gems in its time. The 3d era was nice but the series is kinda shit now... Endless gta 5 updates that just ad a new car or gun to mp instead of a proper stoey expansion
