maharashtra means only Mumbai, Pune, Nashik what about marathwada & vidarbha. The youth of this area is unemployed, some new projects, industries, companies are not coming, due to scarcity of water, we cannot depend on agriculture, farmers are committing suicide, the overall development of the people of this area has become one. Besides, there is no infrastructure, roads, good education, per capita income of Maharashtra is less than many states.

As a Marathi Guy living in Surat Gujarat by birth, I can say that Marathi people are not poor due to Gujaratis, but due to opposite mindsets toward bussiness, as my all family members just do Jobs, no single member doing any small bussiness. In my village which in Raigad, there also many outsiders doing small bussiness like Shops etc, but my all family and villagers are outside village for jobs.

When this people understood they are losing in upcoming elections then they launched the best scheme "ladki bahin yojana" (equivalent to ladli behna) in which govt started giving 1500 rs to all women ,who's that money (it's mine) ? UP can't. First beat Gujarat in GDP and then Tamil Nadu and lastly think about Maharashtra. Even if you overtake maharastra, uttarpradesh will be least developed. Do you know how much population UP has? With such population you need to have three time higher gdp than any other state to just equalise with them. Note the word to equalise you need to have three times of GDP of other states. Then think how much effort needed to be given to overtake all these developed states.

Being from Mumbai can say for sure that State Government does not enhances, utilises and care a dame to implement Central Government schemes/benefits to common people of Maharashtra. Even there is no socio, economic uplifting work from State Government side. Maharashtra has huge potential in terms of economic opportunities/profit due to having advantages in terms of geography, people, nature and so on but no matter which political party comes in State Government but no beneficial action is taken or seen, which leads to suffering of common people. For common person exsisting in Mumbai is becoming day by day expensive and if one is staying on rent in Mumbai than almost 50% of monthly salary goes on paying rent. On name of development/redevelopment in Mumbai the end common person is bearing its burden
