I think the alligator is returning. I also have a theory that revolves around cane. He said if he losses track of who's a human and npc who nows what could happen and we get that expression on his face. I'm thinking that whatever happened to gummigoo happened to someone else and I think I might know who. Some fans say that cna stands for Caine and Able. I think that Able, like pomni, brought an npc to the circus from an adventure, and then the same thing happened with gummigoo only instead of him, it was able. Cane killed Able out of confusion like how Caine killed Able out of jealousy in the biblical story. This could be possible, but at the same time, it's only a theory.
Interesting. I also have another theory and it's about jax. I don't think he's a npc, but after seeing him in a worker outfit at spudsy's my theory is that jax used to work at a fast food place back in the real world and it went badly. This could be possible as we saw the expression on his face in the season one trailer when he got pulled out of a doorway by a giant hand. But like matpat says, it's just a theory
I really do hope he will be. He’s practically rivaling Jax in terms of popularity. 😅 Also, that theory with Ragatha doing the same thing in the past is actually interesting. This just paints her as the previous “Pomni” of the circus.
I doubt that Gummigoo is coming back on episode 3 doubt even Gummigoo would be a ghost dog at all. Caine would just have Gummigoo turn into a ghost if he wanted to. I think he may come back later with no memories as to what happened it would suck. If Gummigoo does come back in episode 3 I’ll make double the amount of art for Gummigoo than usual as a bet.

imo you all are not gonna get a happy ending eith gummigoo. whats most likely to happen is that he appears again in another adventure, but without the memories of realizing he is an npc. i.e hes going to go back to being in character, much to the dismay of everyone
When i first watched this, i thought Gummigoo got sent back to the Candy Canyon Kingsom but then i watched your vids and some others and thei i thought he was now dead.
a bit out of topic but gummigoo is not a human, he said "so this is the circus, i can adapt to this" or something and if he was a human he wouldve been teleported to the circus a while ago
Here's a theory, maybe instead of Ragatha bringing an NPC to the circus, maybe it was Kaufmo who did it, and they helped carry him through the circus a little bit longer because now he would finally have someone to laugh at his jokes. This would make Kaufman's loneliness even more severe leading to his abstraction.

when i got an idea a second ago. We know Caine is the developer probably, but i think cause the name circus he's probably making people pay to watch the amazing digital circus or just let them watch to get popular and then sell plushies and become rich irl.
