He's been in the industry a while and probably has mad connections, he probably figured it was his time to shine since his voice is unique and it fits current day hip hop so he decided to go for it. I think he's a 'plant' in that sense but tbh his music is fire so i don't mind.
Who cares about who’s an “industry plant” or not? They have talent and they’re doing their thing as long as they make art that we can enjoy it shouldn’t matter
He has a wild story: He has been to jail a couple times, had a really shitty record deal that he had to fight to get out of, deleted all his old music because he hated it and it didn’t represent who he is now, and met Juice through mutual friends. Once the juice feature happened, he dropped when only you will only do with Droc, and then came Loyalty. After a plethora of features, he dropped All In with Polo G and G Herbo, then he dropped Money to the Light (a solo song). After all this, he released an album this year, and is still releasing more singles after that. This dude has an insanely huge catalog already, and he only officially came out again a few years ago.
