Hey man i dont mean to be rude but I think the idea that all sin is equal in value of badness is not true. for example if i murder someone thats worse than if i steal a penny. Honest question, why do you all say “in that lifestyle”? What does that even mean? Most gay couples have just a regular life like heterosexual couples do, their partner is just same sex. But I know a lot of people who aren’t Christian or are but are pro-LGBTQ always roll their eyes when that word gets thrown in. And the reason is because it’s like those Christian’s aren’t taking their gay attractions or even love seriously. That’s part of the divide. You won’t be all that successful in evangelizing if you’re not willing to really understand somebody’s plight. There are people that would have to give up love, a partner, the dream of having kids and a family…that’s a lot. If you’re not willing to meet that person there and acknowledge that you really understand that, it’s going to be hard to make a real connection.

@joebriggs5781 When I said lifestyle, I meant going out on the gay scene , the bars and clubs and gay pride events.

@@user-ix4wn1th5m right, but why is that what homosexuality is reduced down to? There are plenty of heterosexual people that also go out to the bars and do largely the same things.

All sin requires a punishment. That punishment for sin is Hell. Jesus dying on the cross for our sins took that Hell punishment for our past, present, and future sins. Christ took 100% of the punishment for all who believe. There is no sin he didn't die for. There is no sin that is greater than another. Saying that He died for some sins, but not others would turn the tables and it would make it works base salvation. The truth is our best works are filthy rags and that is it is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone that he died and shed his blood for our sins that gets you into heaven. We do good works not because we have to, but because we want to because we want to give glory to God for saving us and because we love him.

But how is that helpful to someone who is only attracted to the same sex? Most people can’t force an attraction. And you have to be real with where we are in society. There are many options for gay couples to have a child. A simplistic argument like that just doesn’t hold up.

The flesh is attracted to all sorts of things it should not be. Drugs, alcohol, fame, idolizing money, fornication and etc. If someone is attracted to someone that is not their spouse that does not mean they need to act on that attraction. We are not slaves to our desires. Galatians 5:1 “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” God can change their affections. God is all powerful and way more potent than a fleshly attraction. If you need evidence of someone being changed by Christ from homosexuality here’s an example: Jackie Hill Perry. No it’s not the one sin. There’s gluttony, there’s people living extravagant lifestyles while others are on the street, there’s lust and porn…much of which is heterosexual.

What about Romans Chapter 1. You can't sugar coat homosexualilty, God will never condone same sex marriage but he will condone marriage between man and a women.
