Education cost in India is insanely expensive for most of Indians can't afford it and even after spending money you cannot get quality education in India ... Only top 1% who can crack highly competitive exams can get quality education at an affordable price ....

@Bilal Al Amin I lived in Vrindavan, UP $ 60.00 USD. per mount for studio apartment in new building. I was offered apartment in Navadwip, WB for $ 500.00 for the whole year. I stayed on the beach in Puri, OR for $ 5.00 per day if you rent monthly you can save even more, much more. INDIA means shopping around. My advise is, Rent during the low season.

From my experience, at present India definitely is cheap compared to Netherlands. Of course rent in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore may be higher, but the facilities you get here are far better than that of Amsterdam. Food also is cheaper here in India

You are comparing incomparable. I am in the UK, previously worked in India. I can easily say, India is lots of cheaper (excluding city like Mumbai, Delhi). Overall, in India, you can easily save more than 60-70% salary comfortably while in the UK, it's hard to save more than 20% of my current salary. Plus you have very cheap medical :)

@@beyondhumanrange6196 No NHS is free but services sucks. U have to wait min 1 month to get appointment. For example, If I got fever, I cannot go to GP instead I have to wait for a month. NHS IS OVERHYPED.

I think the grocery estimate for India for a family is very off, while perhaps it may be possible to sustain on Rs. 1500 per week that is VERY LESS. If you consider only dry goods (rice, dal, beans, oil, flour, etc) then I agree, however if you are taking into account fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, milk, butter, and meat then it goes up to I would say at least Rs. 3000 or more, depending on how much meat and types of fruits etc. per week. Plus normally included also under grocery shopping budget would be cleaning supplies, toiletries, detergents, etc, which definitely wouldn't fit in the 1500 budget as well.

I don't agree, but then, I am vegetarian; people who buy meat and fish definitely pay more than 1,500 a week. I pay around that, other than splurge on stuff - ice-cream in tubs, feeding my addiction to a particular soft drink, stuff like that. The splurges would be more.

Be aware if you are studying in the Netherlands and you are from overseas you pay more as the prices are subsided if you have the Dutch nationality. I never had a car in The Netherlands always cycling and use public transport an use a discount subscription for the train.

@Travel Vlog - You are partially correct about train cost. Sleeper / 2A / AC those are long distance trains in India which are mostly not used for local commute and those price range are perfect as you mentioned. But we have LOCAL Trains as well where we have stops after approx 5mins intervals, those train tickets are way cheaper @Rs 10-20 for 10-15KM Travel.

People in India don't buy car for traveling in one city, they usually use public transport, because of traffic, car usually used for going for long distance.

People in India buy car only for status and hence end up with low budget cars and maximum percentage of people neglect the timely maintenance of it Also, I have a slightly different opinion and I think people use cars to travel within the city and hence is the main reason for traffic congestion

@@pramodaakalkoti9218 it's okay, with ongoing infra development and new, brilliant modes of public transport, situation is going to improve. Metro is coming to many cities of India. Also, new AC electric buses are coming. In next 5-6 years, traffic issue will be sorted to a great extent.

Exactly...street food is so cheap and very tasty. In fact I love the street food than food at a 5 star hotel in India. Same thing with chai. It is delicious in small places. People think that India is cheap but it is very diverse ...can get all levels of affluence

One problem is the unfair exchange rate Rupee to Euro. The Rupee is actually worth more. In Europe the problem is that the left parties became insignificant. That made life much more expensive for the average people. But as long as the normal people have no problem with that and still vote for Rutte, Merkel or Macron it seems we've got what we wanted...

I lived in India for five years. Been to Bengaluru few times It is a big city and have all the comforts of a big city the weather is gorges. But the traffic is nightmare. There is no beach. Don't go there if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing live.

the actual prizes of the colleges are (in cities is):- PU College -45k-70k UNIVERSITY- Medical-5,00,000-30,00,000 each year Engineering-2,00,00-12,00,000 each year the minimum prices are for the merit students.and the rest is for normal students who dont get merit. thank you, your videos are just awesome

In state run colleges GOVT It's 70k a year, Central Universities such as DU are less expensive 5k-10k. Private college's start from 80-90k per semester exclusive of the hostel fee. School's average is 30-40k, Government schools it's I guess 2k-5k

That was very entertaining, thank you. In terms of restaurant comparison, what would an average meal in a "hipster" restaurant/cafe in Bangalore cost? I recall you had a meal in one of those restaurants in Indiranagar (sorry if I spelt it wrong) in another video. I think this might make for a better comparison to the average restaurant in the Netherlands. What do you think? I'm guessing that the Bangalore average restaurant prices you mentioned may be more for eateries rather than a "proper" restaurant. I would consider eateries to be just a step or two above street food, in terms of pricing, they aren't significantly higher and they remain very accessible to locals. Just before covid lockdowns, I was lucky enough to spend some time in Bangkok, and the prices in restaurants (especially mall cafes and restaurants) were just as pricey as in Japan, Hong Kong & Singapore. So I'm wondering if that might be the case with Bangalore restaurants too?

In big cities like Bangalore for a rather well-to-do family grocery (food + non-food ) can cost around 2000 to 4000 Rs. per person. It may be quite more for someone having rather luxury lifestyle

An order of magnitude lower, in fact. I mean, 10K for a rent?! That's freakin' crazy! And, pretty decent 3BHK apartments (1500-1800 sq.f) are available for as low as, say, 35-40 Lacs (3.5-4 million INR).

Thanks, Ivana for bringing out this very informative and comparative video. Just one thing to say, that the average income of a person differs from State to State. In Kolkata, is about Rs. 15,000/- per month. Yesterday I had a Lunch in the Dalhousie area with just Rs. 18/- which consists of Rice, Lentils, 4 types of Vegetables, Pappad and Chutni beside you can also ask for Onion, Lemon and Chilli with no extra cost. So, you can easily understand that it differs. Anyhow, the video was excellent. Keep it up and Take Care.

The price range of 2bhk and 3bhk in Bangalore is 80L to 1.5cr from a popular builder. Total environment is the one which charges 3cr or if a popular builder selling detached homes then only it would cost 3cr and more.

I live in firozepur punjab A decent district not so crowded but well developed it has shopping malls, cinema and everything But house price are way more drastic In middle of city you'll get a 5 marla* 3 storey house for 80 lakhs to 1 crore But in Cantonment just a Km away you can make a 10 marla huge lavish luxury mansion in just 60 to 80 lakhs as per interior designing 1 marla= 272 sq ft

I like the expression when you say the price in Netherlands has sky rocketed, which is very true on a average there is increase of 10 % every year.. I still remember in 2013 where I can go and see 5- 6 houses, but now one house is viewed by 10-20 people.

Then why doesn't govt encourage building more houses? Scarcity is artificially created, supply is intentionally controlled, most of land must be in hands of a few. In such situation, prices are bound to increase.

the comparision is right but it also depends on the per capita income of person living in different countries. I mean, for example if any country X is expensive then people living in that country will have similar salary as compared to person living in less expensive country Y

Education In India 1994- 2011( in my case) : 1 to 10 standard avg 6INR/ year , total 60INR ( govt.school) + 600INR for text books 11&12- 6000INR fees+ 3000INR Test books ( Govt school) Engineering - 20000INR fee for 4 year & 16000INR for text books ( govt college) Total cost for education for 16 years: 45660 INR ( 522 euro )

Hatchback cars can start at 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs Rupees on the road in India. Even low end sedans cost around 7 to 8 lakhs And train travel : 500 Rs. can fetch you a 2nd class ticket for a ride up to o a 10-12 hours in India. And in Air Conditioned coaches it can cost 800 to 1200 Rs.

Hello . You were right about college but the prices which u said we're for government colleges which are very tough to get in. And the price for private college for engineering would 12 lakhs(avg) and for mbbs it would be 30 to 40 lakhs ,If u want get in some reputed private college otherwise it can be low.
