I won't ever hire someone as a creative director for any of my clients if they don't have a website. OK you don't think your career deserves $15 a month? That's 3 coffees! If you don't think your career is worthy of $15 a month, then I don't think you're worthy of joining my set. Good points on this video.

Precisely. Most people are unaware of how powerful investing in your own branding can be. Portfolio sites are essential.

Agreed on everything you said. Some people forget to make a website as a portfolio and just have IG. Like you said, You can categorize everything better and the quality is the way it should be. Plus, I always end up going to the artists website to see what else they do and made to get a better understanding of what it is they make and who they are. Btw what do you think about LinkedIn?

100% agree! LinkedIn can be pretty good but is a lot of hard work in my opinion - might touch on it in another video

instagram is just so super bad. in my country every photographer is getting no more than 100-300 likes. the ones who have 10k plus followers. only influencers with dumb contests get some kind of following and likes . a lot of people are delete the app all together because why would you show your work somewhere where it complettly dumb in the bin. the dumbest thing they did- changed the og algorithm.

Interesting! In my opinion it’s better to show it and get a little engagement than not post at all. Quality over quantity, the right person could come across your work!

Instagram is terrible. I've concluded it's become a pay to play site. Those with views pay for the views, those who don't don't get the views. I've abandoned it.

I'll be honest, I hate going to check out a photographer on Instagram and then seeing that their feed is just full of reels. Even if its reels full of pictures from a set or whatever, I'm not checking that out.

What do you think about the threads?? It’s still knew and obviously similar to X. Also, how do you create reels with the transitions. Are those apps? Any thoughts on posting to Pinterest?

I haven’t personally used threads but seems like it could be good for engaging a community and using that to push following towards Instagram. I use CapCut for editing reels & TikToks

Could be a good idea to post to Pinterest from your Instagram so that anybody who sees it on Pinterest can follow the link

@@artemkuzmenkophotography So what you're saying is that those photographers were actually really passionate about their art? Yes...those time gave us better Art.
@jpm5205
@jpm5205 5 месяцев назад
@@artemkuzmenkophotography Art should not be easy. The greats suffered for their Art which they did because they loved it. If you want a comfortable normal life, there are plenty of other careers that can afford you the means to pursue photography as your hobby. Maybe this is why Art today sucks. Too many mediocre narcissistic kids with comfortable lives who never had to really develop a respect for the human condition think the World should subsidize their work which is always the greatest Art of all time. And if you're not talented, being privileged won't make your art better nor make anyone care more - that was true in the past and true today.

@@artemkuzmenkophotography😂 Museums are overflowing with art. There was an oversupply of. art - especially mediocre art. It’s the same today. No one should be subsidized for making mediocre art that no one wants (mostly are vanity projects). If your art is good enough, you will be fine. Society isn’t here to bend over for your narcissism. Artists just need a reality check on the value of their work. That doesn’t mean not to take photos. It just means, you should make it your hobby and do something else that will pay for your food/housing and said hobby.
