There are people who use social media to showcase what they like, then you have the ones who need validation, and finally the ones who just want fame/notoriety. The last two will do anything to stay relevant because they are not about anything, nor do they have substance. I'm going to be honest, most likely you will not reach 100K subscribers but the ones who do subscribe will be loyal and have something in common with you.

Hi Jessie,I think I found you here on You tube and found you to be a very interesting person!!I don't desire to be a content creator,especially on IG...the platform will drain you emotionally;I mean the commitment is overwhelming!!I've seen people posting consistently;yet their followers haven't moved!!Not to mention;fashion week,all over the world.....no changes;in fact people unfollow.I'm simply hoping that 'the bubble' doesn't burst anytime soon,because nothing really last forever....just acquire whatever you possibly can and hope for outcome!!Have a wonderful weekend my dearest!!💗💗💗💗💗

Wow...this was SO GOOD and SO what I needed to hear AND SO TRUE. I first found you on Instagram in 2022 and towards the end of last year YT recommended one of your videos and I was like "OMG, I didn't know she was on here!" I was taking a long break from insta and was so happy to see that you were here. I don't know if it is just me but YT's algorithm has improved greatly. Sustainable platforms are where it's at.

I really enjoyed this video because like you said we shouldn't be chasing those viral moments, rather allow people to see who we are and choose if they wanna rock with you. Thank you so much! So true about viral videos- almost impossible today with the algo's happening on socials today. I prefer to find topical content creators, producing niche, currated content for the experience that I'm looking for regarding that topic. Also, mostly I love the chit chats and vlogs and those style infleuncers. I primarly follow those type channels.

Thank you for this Jess!! IG is my safe zone becuz I'm not ready for full visibility n popularity outside of the platform so I keep it intimate with IG stories n my blog. I do agree to pour more into n spend more time on ur own -ish than anything. Love these gems becuz a genuine community is more important than the nummaz.

I found you on Instagram and I believe you popped up in my recommendations because I was following other style ladies. I was laughing thinking "who is the black lady always talking french"😂😂😂then came over to RU-vid and then joined your subscription group. Totally enjoy your content! BONUS, I was able to be part of your virtual Paris shopping and able to purchase my grandmother a gift that I will give her next month!!! Keep doing your thing Jessie!!! 💜 As a content creator, I post what I enjoy and I know others enjoy. Maybe not be the "trendy" stuff, but I keep to who I am and yes my subscribership growth is slower, but I'm not worried about it. Once, I let go of all that vanity metrics, etc I enjoy it more!

Thanks for this video. You're very encouraging. I know I only have the bandwidth for one thing so I have been focused on RU-vid but now I'm interested in blogging. Bonjour Jessie, I found you on IG about a year and half ago I believe. As a new content creator, I too have been getting flagged on TikTok. I’ve even been flagged for copyright on my own voice on TikTok. It’s really weird. I know they removed several songs off my TikTok posts when the ban from certain artists and musicians went into effect.
