Cool vid as always. My final knowledge hurdle before plunging into ETFs is all the tax aspects. Eg. What are the common tax events? Do I need to do anything special at tax time each year? Does my income tax rate influence the tax I pay on my ETF stuff? Would it be better for someone who doesn't need to pax tax to open an ETF account? Silly questions like that. Cheers!

@@SanjeeSen this is my question, say there is an ETF that own 1500 companies, does that ETF its actually VEU, does it actually buy stock in all 1500 companies? or does the ETF just track the underlying INDEX? so if i buy VEU, and view holds 1500 companies, do i INDIRECTLY actually own a little of those 1500 companies? or not really as VEU just tracks the index that make up those 1500 companies

Nice video Sanjee. While index fund returns are, in my opinion, very good, I think most people fail to realize that the returns they achieve relative to a benchmark or others is actually irrelevant. What is important is achieving a rate of return that allows them to meet their financial goals and understanding the risks associated with that required rate of return.

Hey mate, I love your channel! Thanks for all the great info. I've only got into investing in the last few months after doing a few months of initial research. I'm currently 29 and put between 1500-1800 per month in ETFs. Is this the right path towards financial freedom?

Hi Sanjee, I've been looking a VGS and IVV as my long term growth ETFs. I want to invest and build my portfolio. Is this is a good combination? I am also purchasing VAS so ive got some exposure in Australia. Would be great to hear your thoughts on this. Cheers Jet

I heard on one of the latest equity mates podcast that those ETFs don’t actually invest in crypto but rather invest in the companies that are building the frameworks to make crypto a usable currency in the future. I might have heard wrong but that’s what I got out of it
