Hi there, I'm Binil Babu, a Safety Trainer by profession, with 8 years of experience in delivering HSE trainings on various topics to candidates from different professional and demographic backgrounds; in India & UAE
In addition to being an Approved Associate Tutor for British Safety Council (Indian Operations) I am also an Associate Tutor for NEBOSH HSW and IGC at various Accredited Course Providers.
I've been a GradIOSH Member since October 2015 & a Life Member of National Safety Council of India.

Thanks Timir. I understand this is a grey area among many HSE professionals, that's why felt the need of putting out my experience regarding this. Hope this video helps in removing the ignorance and pushing forward more people to take up thier memberships and thereby, grow and be better.

Excellent video sir. As a fresher with Indian M.E. degree in Industrial Safety, Is it enough to become Grad IOSH or need NEBOSH dips? If enough so need your guidance in becoming gradiosh.

CSP is a certification not membership.

I think, this membership can be an additional qualification for abroad but in india no one is considering the qualification to promotion

If the employer overseas is looking for English proficiency which could be backed up by a good score of IELTS, it will come handy to a safety professional.

Hello sir. Can one become approved trainer of iosh ms( means can he teach iosh) from iosh after becoming tech iosh member. Or he needs to do trian the trainer course too to be approved trainer of iosh ms. Please clarify sir

Hello Mr. Shafaat, earlier the membership was enough to become an IOSH MS Trainer. But lately, it is mandatory for one to do the TTT course by IOSH, to get approval as a trainer.

Right now it's 191 pounds. Everyone joins as an affiliate member. Then gets upgraded. Please check this link for more details : iosh.com/membership/become-a-member/

Yes, the membership has to be renewed every year.

Well Said. Sir, Actually i have completed ME power system engineering. But,i couldnot get career path as the same. I have worked in a various roles like, site engineer, project engineer, maintenance engineer, LOTO incharge ( 10+ years) Everywhere i lookedover safety is one of part of all the roles. In 2018, i have a option that, i can do NEBOSH IGC 1,2,3. with company support. I got Nebosh on 2018. Now , i have joined as Safety Officer one reputed company in KSA. Recently i did OSHA 30hrs as well. Now i feel that, my career path looks like towords safety only. Can you plese advise me which course and membership i prefer now... I am expecting that you to give a good suggestion. Thanks

Hello. Glad to know your career progression. Further, you can consider doing a level 6 qualifications and pick up an IOSH membership, as I have outlined in this video. That will definitely upgrade your status and prospects. All the best!
