ちゃんと動画で比較することで改めてその違いを認識できました、ありがとうございます! なるほど追い抜きで使うなら「初見殺し」的な感じで使えるかも、て具合ですね。コーナー後半で内側から接近されて… 他の使い所としては追い抜き以外にも接近戦で先行している時にも使える?コーナー入り口で極端に減速して向き変えてそこからは加速だし、相手がジャンプしないならクリッピングポイント(?)は奥な分コーナーによっては再び加速&ブレーキを行う可能性があるため先行車は距離を稼げるかも あとはアーケード版のように極端な減速なくスピンターン的にジャンプした場合どうかというのも気になります。 そういえばアーケード版でもジャンプしない方がレコードタイムが上っての、ありましたね…

突然イン側のあのラインで来るなら、バトル相手としては「ミスりやがった危ねぇ!」ってなりますからね、咄嗟にブレーキや減速して接触回避行動を取る事も考えられますねw

Makes sense, you're basically dropping a ton of energy by stopping, then accelerating again while a normal approach allows you to carry that energy all the way through the corner if you don't overdo it.

Indeed. Plus, any sideways force while dropping will...in the best case scenario, only mess up the alignment of at least 1 wheel. Worst case barrel roll to the finish line

there has to be a way to do like a reverse entry so you don't have to lose wheel speed at least right? cuz it's not good to come to a stop, but if you don't, you generally are going to jump into the guardrail instead of facing the way you need to go, right?

@@camsautomotive7899 reverse entry itself is already hurtful to the rear axle according to a few veterans, and if the rear swings sideways while dropping will gonna hurt more parts tho...unfortunately.

@@synchole but in theory if you didn't have to take in the factor of crushing Takumi and ruining the car, if you basically drifted over the jump with a reverse entry wouldn't that be faster than the OG jump itself and maybe faster than taking the corner as expected? Or in the since not a reverse entry but basically taking the corner the same as you would but early, allowing for the same speed as taking the corner normaly but you are also cutting the track "jumping" in this case due to the original height drop in the anime. What do you think?

It’s more of a technique to throw off your opponent, hoping that they lose concentration and mess up. I’d love to see this style of video on the open gutter technique! Always wondered if it really does anything

The gutter technique does affect timing if done properly on a car with appropriate suspensions settings. It is a very common thing used in rally racing, you can check out videos of rally Spain, Ypres Rally Belgium, rallye Monte-Carlo or rally germany, drivers are really often taking gutters and/or cutting corners through grass and ditches. They even do this on gravel and snow

But what about kogashiwa literally did the jumps few more times and takumi reaction to that is literally; "at this rate, he'll get further and further away" Isn't that just proves in initial d the jumps is actually faster but irl it's not?

@@nakazatotakeshi4286 it's faster if your opponent cornering normally rans out of rubber before finishing half the course. Takumi eventually copes up cuz Kogashiwa stressed the tires by doing the technique earlier. Tire preservation also goes along well here also.

that one thing, but also it would be slower in a solo run because you dont have an opponent to block you, the point is to pass the opponent and throw them off so you wouldnt want to use it to beat the clock but you would to beat your opponent

@@jorenreyes6778 well its not really meant to be faster, its a distraction tactic. any oponent seeing this happen behind/next to them would be thrown off their game cosiderably. its an emergency tactic, meant to be pulled out in dire moments.

The jump could have been done without having to stop. If the driver can maintain momentum, then it’s as good as cutting the corner and is faster if executed perfectly. However, there are some catastrophic risks involved, like spinning the car altogether if you don’t land correctly, as well as destroying your suspension.

This is a kind of move that works better if you're in front because even though you lose time, you make the follower lose total gain by having more control of the area they can drive towards. It basically creates an "invisible barrier" in their mind that they cant just pass because if they do, the risks are far greater than the reward.

@@gionniblood In a way yes and no. It's kind of like purposely slowing down heavily on a corner but you do a sudden acceleration which keeps up the speed but not the momentum and time.

@@FreshApplePie Either a collision before the turn due to a sudden stop, or after when the leader rejoins the road. If the driver in second manages to avoid a collision they get a better exit and will likely overtake before the next turn.

アニメを見返してみるとシフトロックののような描写からフェイントモーションの振りを無しでスライドさせて、そっからイン側に入った際にハチロク は明らか引いてますね。 (マシン同士の接触回避の為にここでスピードを落としてると考える事も可能ですね。) アホな突っ込みが出来たとするなら僅かながら可能性はありそうですね。 動揺を誘った攻撃と言ってもいいかなとは思えます。(漫画の連続ジャンプは厳しいと思えますね。)

irohazaka is a very tight road, so to overtake you have to make room, which is what the jump is mostly about, i think that it has the possibility of working if your opponent messes up the corner and loses speed themselves. this is purely speculation because i have not tried it, but in theory it might be the case. anyways, love ur videos g! have a great day

因為要跳坡的前置動作->對準要跳的路線就會先讓車子因為大幅度的導致幾乎停在原地,加上跳完坡之後要重新穩定車身又會多損失一些時間 不過一個彎可以差到快2秒倒是想像不到XD

It's not necessarily that it's faster, but that it's an overtaking move. If I saw a car jumping off the side of the road where I was going to be, I'd probably stomp on the brakes or at least let off the throttle to avoid a collision. Compromising my corner exit. So it's not a matter of what's faster. It's more like giving your opponent the decision to let you past or to crash and take you both out.

If you are in the lead, you wouldn't even see him do this move. You'd be 2 seconds ahead before he even hit the dirt part. That's the thin you all keep missing. No one who is in front will notice as by the time he got down on the road, you would be 3 seconds ahead.

タイムアタックと違ってレースだからな。この技は基本的に接戦してる時インを抑える。すると相手はアウトの状態でドリフトをしなければならないので挙動の安定の為、ブレーキポイントが早めになる。そしてイン側のドライバーは相手をアウトに押し出しだ状態で地元走りでイン側の更にインをつく。結果、ドリフト走行に比べ大幅なアドバンテージができる。アウト側はドリフト状態に入っているので初見で防ぐのはまず不可能。補足、イン側のインを突く場合車体の向きでスペースを埋める効果がある為、ブレーキを早めにドリフト気味に行うべき。

It's like Jerichos Trumpet It doesn't look like it can deal damage But it can mess up your opponents mind In the cars case It can't be faster but pulling those stunts can be very distractive (Jerichos Trumpet are those Large trumpets equipped in the Junkers Ju 87 Stuka which produce a Huge sound that can be scary if you can hear it)

原作だと道路の両脇に落ち葉がたまりすぎていて道幅を目いっぱい使えず、十分な速度でのドリフトができない状況だったからこそ有効な走法でしたっけね。

You dont have to STOP and lose all momentum, the anime did that for dramatic effect. Scandanavian flick into it super wide and early and you indeed save time.

思ったより遅いのですね。 バトルだと、いきなり後ろの車が現れるように見えるので、ブレーキを踏ませることができる形になるのかもしれませんね。 また、AE86のタイムが気になるところ。

I have tried this on forza horizon 4, both player will not make any increase time lap, but it's more like a scare tactics and somehow you can replicate this on that game cuz it doesn't have any weird penalties rule other than wall hard banging slowdown

everyone forgot to mention that in the show there was leafs on the pavement when turning. Making it harder to drift the corner. Not sure by how many seconds this affected the drivers

that corner you used the trick in is very mild turn, in the anime it was so sharp you basicacally had to turn on nothing, but the exit of the road you landed on was just beneath entrance of the corner. And this changes everything. No way even Takumi could carry that speed over the corner until the exit, making irohazaka jump a viable shortcut

減速するにも加速するにもタイヤが接地していることが重要で、地元走りだとジャンプしている間に加速できていない分、この後の直線での速度に差が出てしまう、という理解でいいのでしょうか?

I would enter at a 90 degree angle, using weight and speed & then accelerate at full rev, balancing out the slide, to be able to hit it

It would work on a U curve tho. The thing is that a Hairpin has too less distance to justify a trick like this. Where a bigger turn, will also increase distance. So the car following the path will have to drift a longer path. While the car making the jump could justifiably brake to a stop, readjust angle, and accelerate through the turn. Drifting is only faster on Hairpin and 90° Turns. Drifting allows the Trajectory of the car to shift quicker. The faster a car can readjust its position, the faster it can accelerate into a straight line. But it only works when there's a sudden change in direction.

ジャンプのラインは強めのシフトロック気味のフェイント無しのノーブレレベルの突っ込み重視(サイド引いたように急激にリヤを流す感じ)のラインとかならどうなんだろうかなと、アホな突っ込みしてインさえ入れればラインの制限や相手ドライバーのクラッシュ回避を想定した操作によりワンチャンオーバーテイクはあり得そうではありますね。 連続ジャンプはもうわかりませんが
