I traveled from Africa to USA all by myself and thousands of women around the world travel for job or education. The time changed and women can do lots of things not just be stuck in one place intill they die. Nowadays men are turning into women and it's hard to find a real man who can be your companion during a travel or pilgrimage. I think our Muslim scholars should look at this issue and find a solution that is accepted and suitable for the new generation according to religion and society.
People are making Islaam complex.. The simple statement is if it is preferable, why do you argue and it is safe to travel with a mehram then you must travel with a mehram.. If you dont have a mehram at all and, if it is safe and there is peace, you are allowed to do hajj.. Hajj is Faraz and travelling with mehram is not farz..neither travelling alone for hajj is haram.. Prophet Mohammad SAW only said what is preferable not what is Halaal or Haraam.. Halaal and Haram cones in the jurisdiction of Allaah and HE has mentioned them in The Holy Qur'aan.. Dont make confusion in Deen..Islam is logical,open... When a woman travelled from Hira to Makkah which was prophesised by The Propheht SAW, it means travelling with mehram is good, much safer and preferable, but it is allowed to travel for Hajj even if You dont have a mehram.. So simple.. One must use his/her reason what is good for Him/ her while kniwing the circumstances ...
Dear Dr Naik, your knowledge is immense MashAllah, but what is YOUR opinion. Do you think women are permitted to travel alone - I have no husband, I have no brothers or nephews who will travel with me. I want to to Umrah, so what shall I do? Thank you
My dear sister, as much as I respect Dr Zakir Naik, his personal opinion is completely irrelevant after the messenger ﷺ has spoken. Amongst the 3 questions each and every soul will be asked in their grave is “who was sent to you?”, we all know that the answer is Muhammad ﷺ but if we were people who did not submit to his guidance and did not follow what we found in the sahih ahadith, we will not be able to answer this question correctly. Allah says in the Quran: “O you who believe, obey Allah and obey the messenger and do not invalidate your deeds” I understand your situation, wanting to perform umrah but not being able to because of lack of mahram, I have a similar situation myself, but upon us is to obey Allah and His messenger ﷺ and to be patient. Allah says that “whoever has taqwa of Allah, he will make a way out for them”, so it is upon us to have taqwa and make dua and believe in the promises of our rabb. I heard that Saudi has loosened the rules and they allow women to perform hajj and umrah without her mahram, please remember that just because you have the ability to do it, it doesn’t make it correct. We will all be judged by ourselves on the day of judgment, and if the whole word comes together to say that something wrong is right, it is still wrong. May Allah grant us the ability to worship Him in the best way
Assalamualaikum Dr zakir naik already quoted Nabi saw Hadees a time will come when a woman will travel from Hira to kaaba n do circumambulation without any fear. Alhumdulillah He clearly explained n quoted the Hadees even.
I'm married since 18 years with my husband we are both from different countries after i get married i follow my husband to his country and since 18 years I m travelling alone bake home to seeeee my parents, my family ,at the beginning I was travelling alone naw with my 3 kids.If I don t have mahram what shall I do????? Never to return to my country? Never to go see my parents ,my family ?My husband he is working much and also he doesn't like to travel with me he is afraid of death to fly ,but ne never put me interdiction to not go to see my family .This is sicknes that if u Don t have mahram u can t go out or travel.Yes in time of Profet SAW was hard and dificult, no cars,no planes etc but naw No excuse to not travel .I can t belive still exist this mentality very very behind
Travelling in your city, like going to gain knowledge, shopping, going out with female friends where there's no haram thing is there and many halal things we can do after asking our mahram. Like asking for the permission of our father, brother or husband whoever is available in your life. If they give a permission you can go in your own city alone.

I really like how well he answered the question by taking all accounts. I have looked towards all of the answers on Islamqa, askHuda Sheikh and Shabir Ally, surprisingly all of them had different views except for Islamqa and Askhuda Sheikh. Dr Zakir outlined all of this and it is upto us which opinion we should follow based on those facts.
And what does the majority say? I for example need to travel 1h from door to door to my school. I barely have to walk, mostly public transportation. My parents can also see my location (I want this) so would that we allowed?
Can a women go for study abroad without a mehram? For studying medicine? And following all hijab requirements? Kindly answer this. Some scholars say yes but other says no. Tell me in the perspective of education.

What is the straight answer to the question asked? can a woman perform hajj or umrah without a mahram? Hajj is a pillar of Islam and compulsory for all whether they are male or female, or is it not compulsory for the lady who doesn't have mahram?
He Said clearly there's hadith where Nabi Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam said there will be a time in late future when women will travel alone to kaaba and she'll won't be afraid of anyone but only Allah Al Wahid
Some of us who have husband have to traveling alone if a husband is to busy with his work then I will have to traveling alone and as long is safe for me .
So, most scholars say that it's haraam for a woman and say another sister to drive 2 hours down a busy motorway during the day in a car with central locking? Their evidence is the hadith from those times referring to women travelling? The 2 examples are clearly very different no?
Sir, Asalamu Alaikum I have no meharam ,but a mother of a girl child leading my life alone with my child, i don't live alone by choice but was forced ,i was left alone with out care i had to work for my living for my child ,i have to travel alone, wat to do , can't force to be my meharam to anyone who do not want to,if they wanted to there is no need to say.wats the solution for women like me. Where u absolutely have no meharam.
I think that time maybe already has come, because obviously, the world is not 100% safe, but I believe until the Day of Judgement there will still be disbelievers, right? So what matters is that I can travel without fearing anyone but Allah and personally, I think I already can.
Abdullah b. Umar (Allah -be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Hereafter to travel for more than three nights journey except when there is a Mahram with her. Sahih Muslim 1338c
@@Imnotevenheredear it means almas being a muslim believer, Allah and his prophet didn't give answer for her question in either Qur'an , hadiths or its narratives and eventually he mentioned the women mostly found in jahanum.

Soooo what about staying at a female relative for a couple of days? Cuz it's not her home, nor does she have a mahram with her. (Say that in this time it's not "safe" yet.)

Assalamualaikum sister Please note that in the hadith Prophet (SAW) forbid the women to travel alone more than 3 days...so yes In Sha Allah if there is serious need and no mahram male is available around you then it is allowed only if the (distance is less than what was mentioned in the hadith)
But I want to escape my family, I want to travel to another country and never live with my family ( there are reasons ). Will I be sinning continuously? Also, I don't want to get married.

These people never think why it was implied i those times and how unsafe it was in those days to travel.They won’t do an ijtimah but will stop 1400 years back without thinking. These scholars has made it so difficult for women in Islam, she should cover face, she cannot travel, they can’t go to schools where men study or teach closing all good schools for them. Really did prophet ﷺ wanted to keep women this locked.

Talk to a scholar NOT TO RANDOM WEBSITES. By Allah many women cover their face and like it. The first university in the world was found by a muslim woman. If you have an issue with woman universities being bad then make one where women can get better education. Also many non Muslims also choose to study in non CO education schools. Yes you can. There is nothing in the Quran (so no words of ALLAH) preventing woman from travelling. This is why hadiths we’re not meant to be written down - they apply to the year 600. The Quran applies to ALL TIME including 2022.

@@cleopatra667 Im am a muslim women. I know my rights and my laws. By Allah the rulings are that at the time of the Prophet women were not allowed to travel alone due to it being a safty precaution. Yet Nabi (SAW) said that a time will come where women will travel alone and it will be safe for them. As for the Umrah and Haj scenario (as someone who has performed Umrah) By Allah your haj and Umrah has to be done with a male mahram accomplice. Those who do not have a male accomplice, it is allowed for them not to perform their Haj or Umrah. Im not trying to argue with you or be mean in any way Im just stating Hadiths✨ Jzk.
you should believe the most authentic opinion. Do your research, check what's the basis of the fatwa of the scholars, after all this follow the one that you trust

Zakir naik mentioned in this video that the shaafis and malikis say that a woman can go to umrah without a mahram, provided she is with a large group of women
Please dont use the term Haram.. Halaal and Haraam are the jurusdiction of Allaah alone and He has mentioned about them in The Qur'aan.. The Prophet SAW only told us what is preferable and what not..
If you have no mahram to travel with this could be a solution: Sounds like good business for the orphanages to charge an adoption fee for males who when adopted will become your marham who will also be contractually obliged as a condition of their adoption to chaperone your travel as you wish....or they will go back to the orphanage.
Well, those were different times when all of this was written 1400 years ago. It's a mute point in today's culture. There are better things to follow than this kind of thing!
