I just love watching Derik be sooooo considerate of Sarah and her feelings. Yay Lauren for the surprise baby shower .!!!

I can’t wait for her to arrive. So excited. That was really sweet of Lauren to throw her a surprise baby shower. Especially since she needs all girl things.

Lauren is the best sister in law. That was really nice of her to do. I hope Sarah feels better before she goes into labor. So excited for baby girl/Sista to get here.

I know one thing for sure… Baby Girl is going to have a wonderful mommy & daddy! You both are extremely loving and you’re very patient with each other. My sisters doctor told her to take a quick shower when she got to this point & said if they stop it’s false labor if they intensify go to the hospital. When she took a shower they stopped. Exactly a week later the same thing happened, she got in the shower & we could barely get her dressed to take her to the hospital. Sarah, it’s usually a lil easier the second time. You guys got this! So excited for you ❤

I can't wait for this little one to arrive 😍 !! Just to let you know it is traditional to give a baby shower for someone's first baby. 👶 After that it is assumed that you have all of the big expensive items you need. If you are given a second baby shower you are a very lucky, loved, and blessed individual. 💖 Sara I feel for you not knowing if the contractions are real or not. I also have a high tolerance for pain. When I had my second son I kept dreaming that I was going to go into labor during a huge snowstorm and I wouldn't be able to get to the hospital. Well we did have a huge snow storm for Illinois. My husband had been plowing snow for almost 36 hours, and I had contractions for about 12 hours but they never really got down to 4 minutes apart. But we went to the hospital. The place was packed full of pregnant women and I sat in a wheelchair because they had no empty beds and 2-3 women getting very close to delivering. I was starting to have some really strong contractions at this point. Aftere about 4 hours sitting in the hall and telling nurses that I was really needing someone to check me I finally got someone to listen. She said we have no empty beds, and I said then you better check me in a bathroom...... she finally did and she freaked out and said I was dilated to atleast a 5 or 6 and my water still hadn't broken. Next thing I knew she was taking someone who had stalled in her labor out of bed and throwing sheets on the bed as fast as she could. My son was born 47 minutes later. After the delivery that nurse came into my room and apologized for not listening to me earlier. Then she asked me how I had been so calm sitting in the hallway. And I told her that because they had no beds open I just kept telling myself that I probably wasn't in labor and was probably going to be sent home. Let me tell you that your mind can block out amazing things if you believe ttheir is nothing different you can do about a situation. I was so far along in the delivery that I was unable to take anything for the pain because it would harm the baby. So don't feel silly about not knowing if it's the real thing or not. The truth is that most women are sent home from the hospital 1.8 times before they are actually in labor.

Hi guys, at the first symptom of a cold we usually take vit C whether it is a supplement, chewable or gummies for children 2 -3 times throughout the day and usually helps. Hope Sarah is feeling better. Excited for your baby girl to come into the world. Such a blessing!

Poor Sarah this is the hardest part of pregnancy when you’re exhausted and anxious and scared and you know that labour is coming soon and how difficult that can be…it’s a lot physically for women but it’s even more a lot emotionally.You’re doing so great Sarah though and pretty soon you’ll be holding your baby girl and these past months and the labour with all have been worth it. You did it for Jack & you can do it for baby girl too. Just rest as much as you can. Derek is great and I’m sure he’ll help do anything you want done. Every woman is incredibly nervous & a bit scared when they get to this point but you’re gonna do great and I bet it’ll go much better this time around than it did with Jack during which you were dealing with so many other things at the same time & it was your first baby. I’m just sorry you got sick but hopefully you’ll be completely recovered from that by the time baby is ready to come. You and Derek are such great parents and this baby girl is already so blessed to be apart of such a loving family. You’re going to have so much fun together. Hang in there a little bit longer. A time tested checkpoint to determine if it is more BH or the real thing...Reverse activity level. Ex: If you were sitting during the contractions, then, stand up and go for a vigorous walk. If you were walking, then sit or lie quietly for a while. If the contractions stop, they were BH. Actual birth contractions are difficult to stop once they begin.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks they can get pretty strong towards the end. Totally normal, it's not too much activity or lack of hydration like someone said., it's the body preparing for the real thing manoeuvring the baby into position and getting the muscles ready and able. The labour goes much smoother when the preparation is done well. My body seemed to resist gojng into any sort of labour 3 out of 4 times and I had to be induced. The one birth I wasn't induced was 2 hrs labour and was amazing. The others were far more drawn out and painful.

Derek you are such an amazing young man and great dad and husband. You have grown so much in the last 2 years. Sarah is showing great patience in all the health issues and pregnancy. I had 2 girls 2 years 2 months and 2 days apart. 1st baby indecisive 26 hours labor. 2nd baby quick early fast and all natural. I pray you have an easier birth and a joyful one.

I just found your family last night while watching shorts. I have now fallen in love with you all. I love the way Derik loves his family. Not often you see the softer side of men, and I love it!! Fingers crossed getting that baby to 40 weeks.

Mom should have a Baby Shower for each and every baby she has !!!! Being pregnant is wonderful because of the baby but hard and a Shower is Her Special Day and Celebration

Hang in there mama! With all of our kiddos (3), my contractions hurt but not enough for me not be able to talk. Not till they broke my water. However with our second, my contractions went from 10 minutes apart to 1 minute apart from one to the next. We lived an hour away from the hospital too 😳 thankfully we made it to the hospital. With our 3rd I kept getting sent home because I was still able to talk and laugh through my contractions. Mind you, I was at 5 cm dilated and the girl would still not budge. But I also noticed that if I were laying down almost fully on my back or side, I couldn't feel my contractions at all, the monitor wouldn't catch them either. But as soon as I would sit up or stand I could once again feel my contractions and the monitor would catch them (they were spicking up to 10 and I was still talking and eating. Listen to your body mama, you'll know when it's time 😉💪🏽

I was so excited but I think Sarah is going to have her this week right before Thanksgiving That is my prediction I cannot wait to see baby gir Or as Jack would say SISTAAAAAA 💞💞💞💞💖💖💖💖💗💗💗💗
