Gonna get hate for it but he was actually pretty bad at play by play commentary. He makes it entertaining but like he said himself, he just reads the name and says what’s happening. He misuses terms; seems to only know one kind of kick, a chip, that he calls for when it’s not appropriate, and with the gang calls for penalties all over the field when a penalty can only be awarded in the box. It all adds up to a great video.

Of course a guy who doesn't watch soccer won't have much specific knowledge about soccer. That's not the point. The point is, he's a natural at commentating in general and he can make it entertaining even when he doesn't know a lot about the sport

Listening to eric, we need a Smackdown (Geoff) vs Raw (Gavin) 2k24 MyGm mode where they simulate the matches except the main event each week which they play with 2 AI controlling with eric providing commentary alongside geoff and gavin explaining their processes for that week. Hell adding all the personas and fabricating rivalries between them would be epic. Fatal 4 way between the corpirate, ratyboy, johnny caviar and raymond sommierre. Edited to gavin in place of andrew as 2k24 online is awful

Interesting that the connectivity issues dried up when Gavin started winning. Coincidence?... Probably. This is the current FC/Fifa game right? Guessing the crew didn't download the latest team rosters, as Kane left Spurs in Aug 2023. Although to be fair to them, that was a month before the game even launched. You'd think that would have been part of a day one patch... EA being EA I guess.
