I was able to grow my hair back with liittleextra reactivate hair growth serum. Taken a three-month apart. First one in Jan, second in March. You must apply the serum directly to the scalp and massage into skin with very little pressure. Avoid pull on your hair. The hair coming in seems to be good quality. There's been less hair fall over all. I apply it at night, the serum does not make your hair sticky, but you only need a few drops to work - less is more. Additionally, switched pillows cases to satin so that my sleep is easier on my hair.
I have been applying serum of reactivate for a few weeks, and I'm truly satisfied by the effects. My hair feels stronger, seems better, and the amount of hair fall has clearly lessened. The serum is simple to use, non-greasy, and has no fragrance.
@@TACCRUSHERR There are other treatments, starting with a conditioner, rather than shampoo. Using shampoo too frequently will also dry out your scalp. You need to keep oils in your hair to keep your scalp from drying out.
I think that dry scalp means that your scalp doesn't produce enough oil to lubricate the surface of your skin and hair. While dandruff is caused by oily scalp.

Keep in mind the fungus that creates dandruff is actually really healthy for your scalp. They are annoying but if you have dandruff it means you probably don't have any dangerous bacteria growing on your skin. Its uncomfortable and embarrassing but it does have a silver lining❤
@alexwilkinson7533 Washing your hair twice a week and gently massaging the scalp can promote healthy hair and scalp, but it may not "make it go forever" if you're referring to issues like dandruff or other scalp conditions. Regular washing can help remove excess oil and dirt, and scalp massages can improve circulation, which is beneficial for hair growth and scalp health. However, if there are persistent scalp issues like dandruff, hair loss, or irritation, it's best to consult with a dermatologist for specific treatment options rather than relying solely on washing routines.
Hard water in my area Gonna start using head and shoulders shampoo again as never had this problem before and been using cheap shampoos for the last few months
i pick at my dry scalp and even have blood on my scalp its crazy , i've used coconut oil it only relieves it for a couple of hours , i use vegan shampoo, i even tried doing only water no sugar drinks, and i'm bout to change my shower head to a water softener
I have dry scalp, dry skin, dry eyes, dry mouth, dry nose and dry mouth. It's like a course. And I'm only 33 years old. I have a whole life to suffer 😅
Dry scalp is the main reason of dandruff. Do use Thriveco scalp care kit with scalp scrub and serum to get healthy and dandruff free scalp. This winters I don't face dandruff issues at all.
No, you're missing the point. The flakes you get from a dry scalp are _not_ dandruff, quite the opposite, and an anti-dandruff shampoo will only make it worse because you're just drying out your scalp even further.
My hair lengths and ends are dryy spilit ends. Bt smtimes a day or after, my scalp very itching even after 2 days of wshing hair...i also see whitish roundish small flakes...so wht i am dealing with...???
What shampoo do i use for extremely dry scalp? I've been using shea moisture and it seems to dry my hair out and even cause irritation. Any recommendations please!😰
IDK if whether I have dry scalp or Dandruff because I have it but it's not even itchy it's just annoying that it's there and sometimes it's painful whenever I get a new haircut at a barbershop
The difference is pretty visible. Dandruff flakes are kinda yellow and oily, larger, often coming out along with hair, while with a dry scalp those flakes are tiny and... y'know, dry. Most people actually just have a dry scalp.

I think you have dry scalp. But the cause of your increased flakes seems to be that shampoo. I have a dry scalp all the while I thought I have dandruff. I have those white flakes and that itches if o dont wash my hair more than 2 days and shampoo once in a week. Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner and use it once or twice a weak. And oil your head 3 times a week. Keep changing your pillow cover and bed cover within a week it will be good if you change pillow cover twice a week. And dont forget to wash your comb regularly in 2 days. This is how I control my dry scalp. But I'm not any doctor please consult a dermatologist. I just shared my tips with you. Hope it helps. ❤
@@MedicalCentric thank you but am actually at a lost. The dermatologists I have gone to both prescribed a lot of meds/creams which I need to buy from them and I cannot afford. My only consolation is that the inside of my ears are fine according to the ENT.
@punisher5485 Dry scalp can be frustrating, but the good news is you can tackle it with a few tweaks! Try using a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo to avoid further drying and add a weekly scalp treatment like coconut oil or tea tree oil to moisturize and soothe. Staying hydrated and avoiding overly hot showers can also help keep that dryness in check. 😊
what about itching with no flakes? no lice? no redness? no spots or sores? But hair hurts and scalp stings and itches but visibly clear? Any ideas anyone?
@@TheBJChannel Thanks but for what though? They just gonna look at my head and say there's nothing there and nothing wrong, same as the doctor and hairdressers say.
I have eczema so I thought I just have dry scalp, but my hair gets oily within one day and gets itchier the oilier it is, making me think I have dandruff. I have tried dandruff shampoos which did not really help. I also tried washing my hair less frequently which also didn't help much. Sooo what's going on?
@@riricalderon9261 My hairstylist told me I just have dry scalp and not dandruff. She said a lot of people think they have dandruff when they don’t, and that dandruff is bigger and chunkier whereas dry scalp is small thin flakes. I found a shampoo that works for me and I just use that consistently every other day, and my scalp is less itchy now. I find that massaging my scalp thoroughly and rinsing really well helps too. I think leftover products or buildup in my scalp was irritating me.
I had dry scalp too much almost suffer for 7yrs. I use many times home remedies but still coming back idk what's the issue on my body I had allergies or what
Okay, so here is what will most likely work for you: - At night, wash hair with water *every day* - Follow up with a conditioner; rinse off after 5 mins. - Use a moisturizing cream / serum afterwards. (Little is enough if you have short hair) Tip: Never, NEVER let your wet scalp air dry. When you put water on skin/hair, and then if it naturally evaporates, it takes away the surrounding water molecules from your scalp/skin too, making it more dry. ALWAYS pat dry your wet hair and and apply something (serum / moisturizer) on damp hair. Shampoo only at most 2x a week.
Try massage scalp with coconut oil or jojoba oil before shampooing. I rub jojoba oil before bed and keep it for the whole night. Shampoo in the next morning. Works for me.
Right now I’m using an anti-dandruff shampoo, but after 2 days I start getting white flakes, sometimes are big but most are small and usually are at my hairline, and it’s itchiest at my hairline and at the back of my head. I don’t normally get yellow flakes, sometimes they are very little ones. The rest of my body isn’t really flaky unless I didn’t moisturise it properly lol Do I have dandruff or dry scalp?
@mayarpapayar It sounds like you might be dealing with a combination of dandruff and a dry scalp. The white flakes and itchiness, especially around your hairline and the back of your head, are common symptoms of dandruff, which can be caused by an overgrowth of yeast or a sensitivity to hair products. However, the dryness you describe might also indicate a dry scalp, possibly exacerbated by not moisturizing enough. It might be helpful to try a moisturizing shampoo or treatment specifically for dry scalp while continuing with the anti-dandruff shampoo. Consulting a dermatologist could give you more personalized advice and a definitive answer.
I used to have bigger dandruff in my hair & I stopped itching my hair (I used to itch a lot before but then the habit stopped) but now its small so does that mean my hair is oily or dry or combo?
The change in dandruff size could indicate a shift in scalp condition, possibly towards normalcy; however, without additional information, it's challenging to definitively determine whether your scalp is oily, dry, or combination.

I find that using small amounts of hair oil (max 8 drops, less if you have thin hair) helps the dryness. I’m on accutane too. I use olive oil because it’s cheap and easy to get. The only problem with this is that those oils need to be washed out very carefully, and I would recommend you to watch a video on hair oiling.

No flakes. Just a build up that itches and when I try to remove it, it bleeds. Tried hydrocortisone, Aquafor, rubbing alcohol, Neosporin. Just started Head and shoulders bare. Using with Neosporin still. Live in dry Colorado my whole life. Never had this problem. I am starting into menopause and I am sweating a lot, which I have never had a problem with. It sounds like you might be dealing with dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis, which can cause dry, itchy scalp and white flakes. Dry, split ends and an itchy scalp can also be signs of overall dryness or damage. To address these issues, consider using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner specifically designed for dry or flaky scalps. Regularly applying a gentle, hydrating scalp treatment or oil might help, and avoiding excessive heat styling or harsh hair products can reduce further damage. If symptoms persist, consulting a dermatologist can help determine the exact cause and appropriate treatment.
Yes, it is possible to have both dandruff and a dry scalp, although they are distinct conditions with different causes and characteristics. Dandruff is often associated with an overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus called Malassezia on the scalp, leading to increased shedding of skin cells, which appear as white flakes. On the other hand, a dry scalp results from the lack of sufficient moisture, causing itching and flaking. In some cases, people may experience a combination of factors, leading to both conditions concurrently. For instance, a dry scalp may occur due to environmental factors, such as cold weather or excessive use of harsh shampoos, while dandruff may be triggered by the presence of the Malassezia fungus. It's important to identify the primary cause to choose the most effective treatment. Using a moisturizing shampoo for dry scalp and an anti-dandruff shampoo for dandruff may be recommended. If you are unsure about the specific condition of your scalp, consulting with a dermatologist can help determine the appropriate course of action for effective treatment.

It sounds like you might have dandruff, especially due to the bad smell and itching. Dandruff often involves a fungus on the scalp, leading to an oily, itchy scalp with flaking. To treat it, use anti-dandruff shampoos containing ingredients like ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione, or selenium sulfide. Regular washing can help reduce oiliness and remove flakes. If your condition doesn't improve or worsens, it's important to see a dermatologist for a more specific diagnosis and treatment. Remember, effective treatment often requires consistent use of these specialized products.
@@MedicalCentricYes, I used an anti-dandruff shampoo that contains ketazol. The dandruff became less, but I continued to suffer from the smell. Then after a while, the dandruff and the smell returned, all of this as I continued to use the shampoo
@ElsieJumbo-x9o Dealing with dandruff can be frustrating! Here are some tips to help manage it: 1. **Use Anti-Dandruff Shampoo:** Look for shampoos containing active ingredients like zinc pyrithione, selenium sulfide, or ketoconazole. These can help reduce flakes and soothe the scalp. 2. **Regular Washing:** Wash your hair regularly to help remove excess oil and dead skin cells. 3. **Moisturize Your Scalp:** Consider using natural oils like coconut or tea tree oil, which can help moisturize and reduce dryness. 4. **Avoid Irritants:** Try to avoid hair products with harsh chemicals that can irritate your scalp. 5. **Manage Stress:** Stress can exacerbate dandruff, so finding ways to relax and reduce stress may help. If these tips don’t improve your dandruff, or if it becomes severe, consider consulting a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment options.

If it's dry scalp try combing baby oil into the scalp. Wait a long while before washing it out. If going to bed put paper towels on your pillowcase. This probly won't help if it's already oily scalp and dandruff. But for me, my scalp gets so dry I get millions of flakes and it often itches. The baby oil treatment does help.
The red skin on your hairline could be due to various reasons, such as irritation, inflammation, or an allergic reaction. It's important to consider factors like the products you use on your hair and scalp, as well as any recent changes in your routine. To determine the cause and address your specific condition, consult with a healthcare professional or a dermatologist for a thorough examination and appropriate treatment, whether it's related to dry scalp, dandruff, or another skin condition.
Managing both dandruff and a dry scalp often requires a balanced approach: hydrate your scalp while using anti-dandruff treatments tailored for sensitive skin. ❤️

Go to a pharmacy. Ask for ketoconazole 1% or 2%. If they don't have it, ask for an alternative antifungal dandruff wash. Wet hair, massage into scalp. Leave for 30mins (instructions say 3mins. 30mins is better) Wash out with an off-the-shelf anti-dandruff shampoo. Rinse. Do it again in 2-3 days. Do this for a few weeks and you'll be a new person! 👍😉 Taper off using it as much until you strike the right frequency for you. 👍 Thank me later 👍😉
@MichaelJeffrey Ketoconazole is indeed a powerful antifungal treatment for dandruff, and using it as you've described can be very effective. Leaving it on longer than the instructions suggest can sometimes enhance its effectiveness, but be sure to monitor your scalp for any irritation. Combining it with an anti-dandruff shampoo and adjusting the frequency over time sounds like a solid plan for long-term control. It’s great advice for anyone struggling with persistent dandruff-thank you for sharing! 👍😉
@WilliamLance-d2s Dandruff can be a persistent issue, but there are various treatments available that can help, such as medicated shampoos containing ingredients like zinc pyrithione or ketoconazole. If Phyllis Manor is dealing with dandruff, it might be worth trying different remedies or consulting a dermatologist for personalized advice. Consistent care and the right products can usually manage it effectively.
Using soap and water alone isn't the most effective way to treat dandruff, as it's often caused by an oily scalp, yeast overgrowth, or skin conditions like seborrheic dermatitis. To better manage dandruff, you might want to try a medicated shampoo that contains ingredients like ketoconazole, selenium sulfide, or zinc pyrithione. These shampoos target the underlying causes of dandruff and can provide more effective relief. It's worth giving one of these a try to see better results!
