I think turkey is very different to get permanent residency but if a person is a professional say for instance Dr nurse lawyer it would be the utmost importance to speak fluent Turkish ‘ if for instance you work in tourism you can get seasonal work as a rep etc
Yes Margaret unfortunately also getting jobs like in health care is not easy at all for foreigners. In tourism it's possible to get but most companies don't want to make resident permits
I do know some retired people who live in turkey because they had money they could buy a property plus they needed to provide proof of savings to be able to support themselves this could be in excess of say £100’000 plus state pension from their home country as well as private pension and I’m sure even at that the residency must be renewed every year and on top of that you must have 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ insurance for your health otherwise if the worst case scenario happens it could make you bankrupt to pay for treatment ‘ otherwise the only alternative would be to marry a Turkish man and hopefully this would give you the support required to immigration officers 👮♀️
