I use it every morning to keep my legs warm whilst doing my makeup before work! It makes me feel loved every time I see it!❤️

That’s funny I’m always saying to my daughter be careful with strangers you will be murdered! My daughter is looking out for you, you might see her walking her little dog! She has a big social network in Shanghai but works hard always so busy!💕

I'm American and I have zero friends. I had many when I was a child, but as an adult, I just cannot connect with anyone anymore. I just have small talks here and there, that's about it.

Honestly making friends as an adult it so hard and nobody talks about it?! I find it so scary going to meet new people but I force myself to do it and be social hahah. Sending love, I’ll be your friend! ❤️

In China it is relatively safe to meet strangers, justbbe cautious and alert, and go with your boyfriend. 🙏👍

I nearly fell off my chair when you pronounced the word 'scone'. Thought you spoke the Queen's English?! Interesting video as always; thanks for posting.

I think I use both ways to say it. Same with the word either. It really depends on the sentence to me hahah

Hello, Expat I'm a student from China studying in the UK. I find Chinese people very friendly and easy to make friends with, but I've been having difficulty connecting with friends in the UK. Could you provide some advice for international students like me on how to foster friendships with British friends? Any suggestions on how to build better relationships with my British peers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you."

Hi! Sadly I think it’s far more difficult for Chinese to make friends with British in England as many people are quite closed minded and don’t want to be friends with Chinese because they think you won’t understand them (which is so wrong I know! We used to live in Manchester and people were so racist to us!). My advice is to try to sit with westerners during lectures instead of other Chinese and try to speak English as much as you can even when talking to your Chinese friends. If you have time you could join some clubs or societies which might help you to meet some new people that might be more likely to help you. Having western social media alongside WeChat would help too so you can add friends on Instagram or TikTok and they can see that you are comfortable using English. Or, you could find someone who might help you to practice your English (that’s what Miu did) and then make friends with them that way. English “tutors” are more likely to be open minded! ❤️❤️ Good luck, let me know if you need any more help!

@@ExpatNatt thanks 😃I was always trying to make friends with them, but I faced racial discrimination, seemingly from some young people and even some older individuals。I also hope to meet Uk girls and friends whom I like. I'll definitely come to you if I have any questions. Thank you very much."😭😭

Thank you for making this very interesting video and it's a great topic. I agree with the comment that making friends is not easy as adults, in fact, not just in a foreign land. It's true that it's easier when one is young and it's easier for young people to hang out, but as one grows older, casual hangouts rarely translate into lasting friendship because we demand more in terms of common interests and values in addition to chemistry. As Cicero once said, "True friendship is remarkable and remarkable things are rare." I hope Shanghai continues to be a rewarding experience for you, and it's great to see that you have made many friends!😊

I think it is easier to meet people in Shanghai with a bigger Expat community. I just arrived at Hangzhou for 3 months, and it is so difficult to meet people outer of work ;(

Yeah luckily Shanghai is pretty international if you go into the city centre. Hangzhou is still close enough to Shanghai to do the occasional day trip but it’s hard to make regular connections. I live too far from the city centre to join any clubs or groups or social activities mostly but I’m lucky enough to have Chinese friends that live near me now.

Over the past decade, older Chinese folks are becoming more and more open-minded to their sons accepting foreign females spouses. Talking about safety, was it just me who noticed a consistent pattern of Chinese females murdered in the west by their spouses and partners? The latest case was Mei Li Haskell who was brutally murdered together with her parents.
