I think she meant it more in the way that while they’re great for parties and the like, you really have to think outside the box to work them into more casual builds. She’s thinking about it more from a “is this pack going to be something you use regularly” perspective for those who don’t buy many packs and want to know if it’s something worth buying. It’s definitely pretty versatile in the realm of different kinds of parties and events it can be used for. it’s just not necessarily something you’ll be building with all the time like some of the other packs are.

Totally great for that vibe. I wouldn't mind seeing more club builds!

some people also mentioned that this is more towards community lots or events - clubs, karaoke, prom, graveyard, arcade, gaming, etc. if in normal house, maybe a gaming room.

my parents had that color accent wall in their living room growing up 😭😭 i think unfortunately the color went out of style for a little so im not surprised kayla isn’t crazy over it even though i love it

@@kelizabeth3061 yeah exactly like you said it has not been trendy lately. Although it has been before, which gave it the reach to be come a really popular staple choice in some areas like the southwestern US where I’m from 🤠 Kayla just has her blue suburban sensibilities and it’s quite a bold and saturated warm tone color for her, I can see why it wouldn’t align with her personal tastes and that’s totally ok. I realized in 2015 when Pantone’s Color of the Year was Marsala, a faded maroon, that pinky-orangey-red colors tend to complement and bring out most every skin tone which is just so lovely! (Idk how well it that logic applies to alien and plant sims though!) Anyways that’s my 2 cents and then some ✌️

It used to be in fashion (at least where I live) in the early 2000s as an outside colour. I live in a place where the stone from the surrounding mountains have a little pink hue to them. They aren't like bright pink of course, they just have a warmer tone than simple gray. So a lot of the houses have pinkish stone foundations and they used this bright paint on the walls and it was wild, but I liked it.

Also it's definitely not weird to have an urn on your fireplace or shelf, lol. That's exactly what they're for. Two of my uncle's and two childhood dogs live in decorated places on our bookshelf.

I haven't got it yet, but if you're enjoying it then that's good 😊

I wasn't interested until I watched Lilsimsie's video yesterday. The things that stood out for me were the dance floor (for the same reasons that she said she liked it, although I do like the fancy dance floors for some builds), the tile wall things (yes! It's going to be great in kitchens), and the bar (which, for a change, doesn't have weird textures for all of the swatches. It does have some textures, but to have a plain bar is lovely!) So, I bought the kit. (Fortunately, I had some birthday money set aside specifically for Sims things.)

I find Pixelade awful for an agenda. He berates everything for clicks.

I watched his video too and i also misunderstood how the floor worked and thought it wasn’t functional. I don’t think he had an agenda to make the kit come off bad ( he actually like kits). It just didn’t function the way he was expecting it to and he was going through quickly so he could get the review out.

The “dance” feature works. The same way it works to dance when you click a stereo. However the group dance or dance skill are still locked. So really the dance floor doesn’t add anything new that wasn’t already in the base game.

@@user-pw6ol5ck1p No, I just think he jumps to conclusions and isn’t thorough once he’s made his mind up. That’s what I mean by an agenda. I don’t mean he’s nefarious. I just mean he knows what he thinks about the pack already and won’t explore further to give it a chance. I wouldn’t defend this pack anyway, but I get sick of this happening so frequently with him. He often makes videos without understanding how things work, then gets mad at them for being bad or useless. And it’s like, “dude. Google it. Isn’t this your job?”

@@Amity-park- It happens in builds with really tight spacing or the open space is taken up by clutter. It helps if you put the cake directly next to an empty 3x3 space indoors.

@@spacewolfcub oh well… that’s pretty typical of any sims thing that’s over cluttered in that case. I try to keep at least one counter clear of any clutter for example, so my sims can actually cook/food prep on it.

Yeah, i see the use for many of the items. I know a lot of people were disappointed with it. I personally think the clutter bothers me and the balloons look terrible. We would have been better off if they had gotten rid of those items and instead given us more wall heights. And instead one repeatsble clutter item. Like maybe a cluster of kazoos and confetti poppers that could be put multiple places in a party house.

I agree, but also good to remember that everyone has different likes and dislikes. For example Simsie has many kits I'll likely never buy, but this party kit I personally think is the best kit there is (also worth noting it's as big as a stuff pack and half the price!), so yes pick and choose don't feel you have to get them all, but pick and choose based on what you like not what someone else says you should get. Simsie is awesome, but it doesn't mean her opinions will always be the same as yours or mine :-)
