I don’t get it why you hate it.Melody hid immediately when she saw leather face not making a single sound. She hides so wisely.Pushing the mirror with her neck was a super smart decision. She did great when trying to escape by climbing the stairs and did the impossible to survive under a floor with a chainsaw man trying to saw her.She survived a bus masscre and escaped from a window saving her sister.Melody crashed him with a car.She handled the situation well when he was trying to kill her in the car. When lila was about to die she attacked him with nothing but her body. And when the gun was out she sawed his face with his own chainsaw.Maybe she got killed by leather face decapitating her but she kept her promise and didn’t let him kill Lila.
I went into this movie just wanting some good kills and hoping Leatherface would be scary so I was not disappointed. I don’t ever care for the main characters so I was not surprised I didn’t care for them this time around as well lol. I usually always root for Leatherface anyways. The plot could have been better but overall I had a good time watching this movie. I wouldn’t mind a sequel to it.
I thought it was bad. Leather face didn’t feel like himself. Hes usually “less smart” and I felt like he was a lot like Micheal, just like how Sally was the dollar store version of Laurie.
Went into the movie just wanting to see Bubba do his thing. And especially after them being so rude to the old lady and kicking her out of her own home, I was just like, "you know what, just do your thing Bubba, you got this."
Huge let down they bombed and wasted that storyline with Sally and that ending was just flat out stupid, tried to copy Halloween but killed the legacy character not long after she was revealed why? 4.5 out of 10 and how did Sally managed to stay alive for so long after literally having a huge hole in her body WHAT!
In my opinion at least I wasn't entirely bugged by Sally being killed off the bat, I never felt like she had a personal grudge with Leatherface like Laurie Strode did with Michael and that she was just the one who managed to get away. The movie even recognizes this as Bubba doesn't even remember who she is, but I think the only problem with the film was how unlikeable the main characters were
Imagine she waited for almost 40 years and when she finally gets the chance to end him she turns into a kook, wildly shooting into the air, missing, just such a horrible waste
More woke BS. And you are right. To bring Sally back just for some lame attempt at some Laurie strode " I've been waiting " this movie is definitely not for people who grew up on the original
I went into this with very low expectations and now that I've seen it I will say I rather enjoyed it surprisingly. It was definitely vicious and gory as all hell. Pretty decent all around and it wasn't drug out it was the perfect time in running and straight to the point.
I had low expectations going in and the storytelling just killed the movie for me. Yeah it had the visuals and the kills were really good and brutal but the first 5 minutes at the gas station set a tone for me that I just couldn't get out of. I may watch it again with friends because maybe feeding off the reactions of others will help improve it for me but overall this movie just kinda made me sad for how good it could have been.
@@chrissweet6369 - open carry ( he must have a small dick ) - driving a big truck ( air pollution ) " oh you must not care about anything " - they all got their panties in a bunch over the confederate flag.. - pulled over by the cops " keep your hands where they can see them " - black guy who looks and sounds like he rides a horse with both legs off to one side is with the blonde... yeah right! - the open carry guy has his AR - 15 just laying on his workbench.. - then they actually had him unholster his pistol and THEN looked like he chambered a round... That one bothered me if he was actually so into his firearms and EDC he wouldn't be carrying with an empty chamber.
@@chrissweet6369 Maybe storytelling is the wrong choice of words but more the script had way too many problems with it to be enjoyable. I also would say the movie improved alot more when watched with a group so it has improved in my book as well. Totally agree with you that this read more antiwoke than woke in my book.
I definitely enjoyed it more the longer I sat with it. Though I don’t love the story, I think I liked this better than Halloween Kills. That bone stab is suuuch a good first kill. My biggest issue I think is Sally. It’s hard not to compare this to Halloween and Laurie Strode. I was hoping that maybe they’d subvert it like the classic bad sheriff character but this time it’s Sally and she’s gone down a much darker path and has gone back to her attacker and joins the Sawyer family. Unfortunately that’s not what we got. Overall still enjoyed.
I agree with you in literally everything! I think we need to give the director props tho! visually it's amazing I mean some of the lighting was the best in the series. I think the storyline is a bit forced tho, trying to cramp in as much social commentary as it could like gun violence, capitalism, gentrification, racism it was just a lot and it came out seeming insincere. what I won't allow is ppl saying that this franchise has never had political themes - which is not the case as the first one has been seen as a metaphor to the war, the working class, etc. but tbh watching y'alls reaction made me realize that this was a whole lotta fun and that's what I typically expect from tcm (but ofc a good storyline/charcters would've bumped this up by A LOT)
The first one is political, but it's not blatant or shoved in your face, it's subtle, and is more glanced on after the fact. Realistically if Tobe Hooper never said it was made with an underlying feeling of being lied to by the governement about the atrocities of the vietnam war or how 'man was the real monster...so i put a literal mask on the monster in my film" no one would think twice about it. Stop trying to defend pushing absolute bullshit in the movie.
I enjoyed it but like any movie its never perfect. I like Leatherface in this one and his rough age is established in the intro as being between 16 - 20 years old back in 1973 so its plausible for him to still be ticking at his current age. I love how they used a very close model to the original Poulan Chainsaw that was in the '74 movie. The special effects were great too. I liked it but that's my opinion and opinions are subjective :)
Loved the reaction alot. My expectations weren't very high but I have to say I enjoyed it quite a bit, the kills were great, leatherface was menacing as fuck. I didn't care for the main characters to much. I wouldn't mind a sequel to this. Thank you for sharing the movie with us. My favorite is still the 2003 remake.🤘😃
I loved it, I could careless about the main characters because it’s all about leather face. They made him look great and so much gory I loved it. Wish it has a few more suspense scenes but I loved the movie.
I enjoyed it. I put it at number 4 in my ranking. They showed Leatherface being a badass slasher villain with a lot of awesome kills. The tension and atmosphere wasn’t too bad either and the movie actually took itself seriously. That’s good enough for me.
Born in 1968, I watched the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" on VHS during the early 1980s and have been a fan of this series ever since. The build up of the characters demise with gore, screaming, running, terror infliction and the kills by leatherface is the true definition of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre".
thought the movie was okay. only things i really had a problem with was the absolute disrespect for sally. her character gave no indication of wanting to be a ranger in the og and she was far too sweet to be this blood thirsty for bubba. and the other complaint would just be that bubba didnt feel like og bubba. not only was he now younger than sally somehow when he was meant to be brothers with the sawyers in the og but his whole demeanor was that of jason or michael myeres. bubba was vocal and very expressive through the first movie and his attacks were more idk the right wording... not geniously planned out? the only well planned killed in that was franklins but that was easy since they were screaming their location for a while. in this 2022 movie though hes quiet af, is laying convoluted traps, can tank shotgun blasts/ a chainsaw uppercut, and not even one mention or actual reference he eats people. im honestly a lil sad he didnt try the feeding his gaurdian human blood thing he did for the old man in the first.
When it comes to Texas chainsaw massacre I never expect a good story I love this movie though some movies don’t need a good story line to be good and this one is up there for me ranking wise
One of my favorite leather face. This movie made him look, big, tall, fast, strong unstoppable!! He had no mercy for anyone in this movie, leatherface was on a massive kill streak. The way he would throw that chainsaw, wow. Sometimes you don’t need a huge story plot, sometimes you just want to see leatherface go on a flawless victory with a remarkable kill count.
yeah, him looking fast, strong, and unstoppable is the problem. he's a 75 year old man who was incredibly abused and traumatised by his family. he shouldn't be unstoppable and fast, he's supposed to be stupid and very much human. theres no way he would have survived gunshots, the chainsaw slash, and he should have drowned when he fell in the water. they tried to make him supernatural and it just doesn't work
@@choccymilkconnoisseur2775 that’s how literally every serial killer character so i don’t see why it’s a problem now. jason, michael, leather face all went through such intense injuries and were still standing. jason doesn’t really count but michael and leather face are human ( at least they’re supposed to be ) yet everyone accepts the fact that michael is basically invincible. hell even some ghostfaces go through some serious injuries and still are running around taking down nearly full grown adults. age and mentality really doesn’t matter for these types of killers lol
I loved this movie. This Leatherface was scary I thought. His movements and mannerisms were top notch, probably my favorite Leatherface as far as interpretation. That movement she mimicked at 23:06 is exactly the type of stuff I'm talking about. It was like a video game lol. I haven't cared about a Texas Chainsaw character since probably Jessica Biel or something lol so I'm never in it for that. I think this movie delivers what it was supposed to. Story sucked tho, but I always appreciate people trying to do something new with a story that's been done 1000 times. Great reaction, yall were scared! Haha thanks as always.
@@inanimatemist8610 sure it’s terrible when looking at it expecting a really good movie when the rest aren’t, same thing happened with Halloween Kills and I enjoyed that as well. And let’s be honest did u go watch the movie to see some random characters survive or did u come to see leather face brutally kill a large group of people.
@@inanimatemist8610 Tell us how and why it's so terrible?? All the TCM movies are not the greatest, ya'll just wanna try and hate on it cause you think it's cool to hate. You've probably watched it 12 times by now.
I don't get what people are expecting from this movie lol. Sounded awesome to me. Looked like it then omg finally got to see and watched it four times in a row lol
I have so much to say about this lmao but basically, to me this movie reinforces that some cinematic pieces are so iconic that they shouldn't be touched.
I don't think story sucks. Had to get them there somehow. The original they're going to check to see if their grandfather but dug up and to see their old run down home that just Happens to be next door to leather face house lol. That's random too lol. Even coincidence. But still loved it. Loved this. Loved majority if not all of them lol
The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is my all time favorite horror movie. I've enjoyed some of the sequels as their own thing, there will never be a follow up that comes close to the original, the OG is lightning in a bottle. Just give me something to enjoy, plot holes, camp, whatever, that will keep my attention to the screen. That being said this recent film has it's flaws for sure, but it was a lot of fun, the creative modern storyline, the kills, and Leatherface was relentless (and absolutely justified). I had fun watching this movie. That final kill in particular *chef's kiss* as I was going to hate it if that girl survived, she had to get got, and Leatherface got the job done.
Great video loved seeing those reactions I do think the movie was really great but The storytelling should’ve been better and I feel like the movie should’ve been a bit longer over all I give it a 4/5
Omg your wife and I had the same reaction in the first kill and I love the slow pacing leading up to the kills. And yes this movie was a mix between Halloween h20 and Halloween 2018 lol I called her Lorie too. Lol didn’t really get the 50 year Redemption she hoped for but at least she got a few in before she went out. Also did anyone else then sally looked like one of the creatures from Wrong turn ? Just an observation
I loved the kills of this movie, I was in it for leatherface himself, and honestly I absolutely HATED melody (the main girl, I kinda forgot her name) so when she was killed off at the end I was so glad tbh. And the cinematography of the movie was immaculate in my opinion, it was all so amazing and well done! By far, my favorite character would be richter!! (I think that’s how u spell his name??)
Who ever said this movie wasnt good is on crack..this movie rocks..the performances were ok but overall the movie is a 8 out of 10 for me. Sorry but i dont agree with most of what u guys said about the movie but great reaction though.
@@BRIDGECO1 Well im biased cause The Beggining from 2006 is actually my fav movie ever lol. And this has similar vibes and i love when the villian wins so this was waaay better than i expected.
Rafi.. you do realise we just wanna see come cool mother ducking murders. No one gives a fuck if these movies have a good story as long as the deaths are interesting
Omg every second so amazing especially the kill scenes lol. Definitely bus scene. That was funny in bathroom. Its just like shining but he didn't say anything in the hole lol
Love how the bus scene was an overt nod to the Darth Vader scene in Rouge One. Thought that was pretty cool. Wasn't a fan with the attempt to do what Blumhouse did with resurrecting Halloween with bringing back the older, vengeful Sally character like they did with Laurie. At the end of the 74 original it's doubtful Sally doesn't end up institutionalized with extreme ptsd for the rest of her life. Overall, I thought the film wasn't very good at all (the chainsaw was bricked up inside the wall for.....what?....safe keeping?). And exactly why did Leatherface end up in that orphanage in the middle of nowhere? If this is supposed to be a direct sequel to the 74 film it would seem to me that after Sally was driven off in the pick up that he would have just limped his way back to the farm house. And at one point in the 74 original did they establish that Leatherface was adopted from that orphanage?
Love love love this one, lmao. It's so stupid, but the kills are EPIC and the cinematography is just gorgeous! Does it make sense that the chainsaw still works after so many decades? No. Does it make sense that Leatherface is suddenly at an orphanage? No. Does any of it make sense? No. But it doesn't have to. The fact that they poke fun at both sides of the political spectrum, and introduce Sally full on Laurie Strode style just to literally throw her in the garbage, is proof that this film is self-aware, imo. I dig it!
I'm curious. Did they retcon the whole cannibal family angle for this instalment? Because the opening narration only mentions "an unidentified man with a chainsaw".
@@eden7154 and that's ok. I just feel like most people are saying it's good because of the kills.. which brings me to " halloween kills" horrible movie. Yet people liked it due to awesome kills..
They turned the movie into a straight slasher. There’s no mention to the Sawyers or their attitude towards cannibalism; Sally has no purpose to the story and the way she is used and killed off is disrespectful to the character; in this movie, Leatherface is only a random psychopath who loves to dispatch people. On the other side, the action is good, the kills are great and the gore is solid, but I don’t feel this movie as a “legacy sequel”, it feels more like a random slasher and it’s a disappointment for me!
To me I will always root for Leatherfaces because people come to his home and he diffiens his home. He'll any of us will do the same thing. You come to my house uninvited you getting messed up lol. But that's just me. I can never see Leatherface as bad, his family yes. But not him. He'll he didn't kill all that time ontell his mama in the movie died and people came to his house. Leatherface is the Godfather of horror to me. While Michael Myers is King and Normen Bates is a Legendary. Great video 👍🏼😎
How would he know any if their names from original lol. Besides them yelling a couple times lol. Crazy sally funny lol. You remembered me now! Is hilarious lol
We didn’t do one unfortunately lol just the review. May do next generation eventually 😂 Hellraiser 2 reaction probably tomorrow and more to come! Thanks for checking us out
Leather face was like alright in here for the older sister nobody else People on the bus 🚌 time to cancel the guy Leather face all right chainsaw sound time for some rain
I hated the fact that leatherfaces actual face looked normal, cause in all the iterations I've seen (haven't seen the originals) he was told to have like a deformed face and I remember him not having a nose in one of the one's I've seen, so that was a little infuriating and kinda set my expectations low cause if they ignore the plot that is the reason for him wearing the skin, then it's kind of like "ok, there's some stuff they're gonna ignore *eye roll*"
Right? That’s why I has said early on when he’s like “he was wearing a mask” Did you not see his teeth at least in the original? 😂 biggest letdown was his face, the 2003 remake his face was gnarly definitely with the no nose
