Martinelli is a very talented player that has been plagued by injuries but his ceiling is potentially very high there's a good reason the likes of klopp was always speaking highly of him and defenders hate playing against players with pace and he has pace and the technical ability to really hurt teams if he can stay fit and he gets the help saka gets on the right side thanks to Ben White and William saliba I agree his decision making has to improve that will come with more minutes and yes he's not the finished article yet but 1 not very good season doesn't make him a bad player and its very true that had players not missed as many chances that they did that Martinelli assisted then his assists would have been more than it was

I LOVE Martinelli. But I can’t help think he’d thrive in a different team. I’m not entirely convinced we are able to get the best out of him. Can you hand on heart say he’d start for any other top team? I’m not giving up on him or anything, he still has potential and had been unlucky with injuries, but I absolutely believe this is a make or break season for him.

Tbh,, Martinelli is also generational talent and on average on field performance was relatively consistent except for the numbers. Saka has this triangle with Odegarrd amd White. In many games, visually, Saka wasn't up too scratch. Martinelli has not stable partnership on the left at all. Saka has no pace at all and so are Jesus and Trossard. Martinelli is the only pace we have up top. Martinelli defends better than Saka these days, let's not forget ... Not a make or break season for Martinelli until the right partnership is put in place on the left.
Only Arsenal fans could be speaking about Martinelli being expendable if he has a poor season whilst doing mental gymnastics to protect Havertz during his Arsenal career. I think this also has to do with the fact that Arteta can be ruthless. For example, he tried buying Mudryk for like 70-80m when Martinelli was balling. It kinda shows that he may have already had plans to push Martinelli back. Also we are in a title race with a monster of a team so we genuinely can't afford players to drop off so much. A lot of fans love Martinelli, it's just questions, as we have high standards for him. And he has someone like Trossard who is hot on his tail, so it is essentially make or break.
Eddy is on 100 thousand so that will affect the price. At that wage except for the top 6 that would make him the highest paid player on every other team ,and forget Europe.
It's make or break for Edu and Arteta. The shite they have been playing down the left has destroyed Martenelli. Think arsenal's system last season kind of took away his confidence. One reason Trossard played better than him at the end of season is because he is more experienced, and don't get discouraged like young one.
Stop playing him out of position, having him on the wing gives him too much to think about, he was a CF when we signed him and was meant to be our future CF, he's shown he's a gunman down the middle.
I think it is unnecessarily negative to suggest it is make or break for a brilliant young player like Martinelli. He's not a robot and will have his ups and downs as he develops but love and support from the fans will make sure he fulfils his potential. @juniorgunner501 There are very few players that can consistently beat 3/4 opponents from the halfway line to the goal line and still retain the ball to make a cross, pass, or shot. And that's often after winning the ball back near our own goal line. His adjustment is to be more tactical to pick and choose the moments he bursts into life, like Saka's done, as it is humanly impossible to play at his level of energy and pace for 90 minutes as he gets older.
Not a make or break season for Martinelli. You failed to consider that Martinelli and Trossard are two different profile of players. Plus, You have to consider the age factor. He still has a few more years of development to go than Trossard is.

It's obvious that arteta dosen't rate martinelli that highly as a left winger. That's why arsenal was prepared to pay big money for mudryk and why trossard was starting at the end of last season even though martinelli was fit. Imagine trossard starting ahead of saka on the right wing if he played there. No chance Don't be surprised if arsenal sign a winger who can play both wings and starts ahead of martinelli.

On player sales, we are just not very good in pitching, negotiating and closing deals. Omari H went for 22m£ after a loan ffs! That's incompetence of sales team and/or perception of such players caused by how Arteta treats them. No way we are unable to move Eddie, Nelson and Ramsdale for even decent fees?! The criticism of martinelli for me is very extreme. Its very difficult to progress and improve when the guy behind you is getting chopped and changed every two minutes let alone coming back from injury due yo being over worked. Manage the team and the left back situation properly and martinelli will thrive. Saka has been able to progress so much so quickly because he has had a stable working partnership with White. Martinelli doesnt have a clue who is playing behind him half the time because no player is making that jersey their own
