Nah bro it’s not just dabi it’s every character it’s a bug with lemillion in general when activating his ability mid damage it activates but he’s able to still take damage and it shows it’s activated but your still taking damage

As a console player it hurts me not being able to hit rapids like iida and froppy from how much they move , even so it doesn’t pain me as much as getting ko’d against a dabi within 5 seconds 😭

After the changes they made to froppy I found her extremely easy to hit race rank with and almost impossible not to gain rank with. The strength of a rapid is being able to pick and choose who you fight and avoiding a 1v1 with dabi is insanely easy because that's not your job. Your suppose to clean up kills or hit and run so getting grabbed by dabi is entirely your fault. Twice also insanely easy. Ida here is the only that even remotely struggles and even than I found that he synergize incredible with red dabi because you can grab someone right after ida kicks them so it's easy combo that easily kills someone or leaves them near deaths door. I don't even think red dabi is that broken compared to endeavor or all might. I'm way more scared as floppy of endeavor deleting 75 percent of my health with one beam or all might hitting me one or twice than chasing me with that insane explosion damage. Not a dabi who can only grab me once than loses his ablity to chase me. People are just overreacting because they didn't pull the new character and due to being shafted or wanting to glorify what they pulled are asking for nerfs or over exaggerating how good he is. I think his gamma bascially making his alpha and beta level 9 in everything but damage is a good utiitly and makes him a fun character. He's definitely on the stronger side for characters but that's where new characters and quirk sets should be. I honestly just find it easier to win and gain rank cosnitently as froppy than dabi just because it is still possible just to get rushed and focus as dabi so froppy more consitent and less luck based in rank and just looking at the charts, endeavor and all might are way more prominent in rank which is why I'm confused where the communtiy gets their infromtation on what's overpowered and underpowered outside of their feelings. Not saying balance should solely be based on what's dominating rank because fun is a major factor but still.

As someone who likes to froppy in the 2nd map, is impossible to go against red Dabi, he's a complete counter because I can't get close to him other wise I'm get hugged. So basically I do nothing against him and pray someone kills him instead. Since red Dabi is a skill set I don't see that many people using him (I feel like people summon less when its a skill set) so I don't think its over for rapid characters.

I think it makes sense. Every character or class should have certain strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes people forget that this is a team-based game. It's best when your teammates make up for the weaknesses you have. Although Dabi has that hug, you don't know how often I've been obliterated by someone with a projectile bc of that move. it's very unsafe and only works in solo situations or if the opponent teammates aren't focused on you. But yeah you gotta play towards your strengths. that's just how the game works. not every character or class will have the same level of difficulty with a character. for example Kirishima against anyone who has long range. that's a harder match-up for Kirishima compared to if he was against Denki or something. if you know who you're being isn't a good matchup for Shigarak, dabi, etc, then depend on your teammates to handle them. or play it smart. know which fights to take and which ones not to. know when to third party to beat the person that you have a disadvantaged matchup with. If every character had equal difficulty in facing any character then the game would become bland. such differences in strengths and weaknesses make the game what it is.

Honestly, I just stay far from Dabi, punish his Beta's from far behind and use my arieal attacks on him, usually leaving him to my teamates and help in the back. Whenever I do go in, I get punished by one of this outbursts (Fair enough) or just immediately Beta'd, which means either my health is gone, or I'm knocked down. 😭😭 But this doesn't mean its the end of Rapids. The Devs just need to actually test if their damage is okay for a Rapid to endure. Because with the way they relased AFO, Assault Shigaraki and now Strike Dabi, I feel like they barely test with rapids lmao

When u think about it a beta that reloads to fast, does 200damage, that is great for running away and when comboed with the gamma does over 300 damage, do we have a toga 2.0

He is very good but he's not as crazy as the community makes him out to be. I play momo so I have it worse than the rapids because I 1) Have to be in his face and 2) can't just run away. The way I handle him if I have to is dodge towards his grab and when he does land it don't air recover right away as he'll go in for a second if you do. After that it's just spanking him in the back and that + his self damage can punish him pretty hard. All in all though it's similar to AFO's pull, just need the team paying attention when he hugs someone and then punish him for being a sitting target in the air.

I play tf outta Lemillion and I'll admit that I have to watch out for that Hug every time I permeate underground and miss an uppercut because you'll get caught 100% of the time. -Permeation Glitch Explanation As for Dabi hugging Lemillion, while he's in permeation mode, it's not a Dabi bug, it's a Lemillion bug and it happens whenever you try to permeate with his Beta or his Special Action IMMEDIATELY after you take damage. If you take damage and try to permeate out using your Special Action, it stops your Permeation AND your ability to dodge or use other moves, leaving you walking and taking damage. To stop it, you have to realize the glitch happened before you die and press Special Action again so you can use your other moves and get out. If you take damage and try to perform his Beta, from your POV, you're underground, but can't go under buildings or anything and you still take damage. From your opponent's POV, you just look like you're walking faster than normal and they can still hurt you. It also happens a lot if you're already inflicted with a status effect, like Shiggy's Decay or being set on fire by Dabi, Shoto, or Enji. Also, Dabi's Hug is scary to deal with, but it's actually possible to dodge it, just like Toga's Beta. It's not broken, like Kaminari's Human Stun Gun, so Rapids are fine. Just anticipate the Hug and dodge it. Usually, Dabi's try to spam the 2nd Hug if they miss the first one, so stay ready and punish him when he goes on cooldown.💯

My honest opinion is Match up. rapids beat endeavor if they can dodge. dabi just counters close range characters. his long range is his weakness. i’m interested in seeing How kirishima mains due to being close range and how endeavor players have faired against him being that they are long range. I think the game needs to be balanced with characters like ibarra, kendo and some other characters being left behind.

I play Twice, and there is only one real way I can deal with Dabi's hug. When you use his Beta up close to someone and they touch it, they take damage. I've only managed to do this a few times against a Dabi since his Crazy Torch skill kit came out, but this will do one of two things. it will either A) use the clone as a human shield, which gives you an opening to spam alpha at him, similar to AFO's grab. Or B) the clone will pop up, Dabi takes damage and gets knocked back, and you can spam alpha here too. And that excludes the situations where I'm not fast enough to react to the hug, where the dabi is usually a few inches away from me when they use it. In situations where I've already used my beta and need to wait for the cooldown, all I can really do is use my gamma and run away. Aside from that, it's very, very difficult to deal with Dabi.

Yeah, I had to save a vid of Lemillion using permeation and he got stuck in a middle of a rock, and got stuck, couldn't get out of zone at all, so I died in a match stuck in the middle of the rock in Mountain Zone. Insane.

Personal opinion based off my play style, those rapid players getting destroyed by a dabi, you should shift to hit and run tactics. Assuming you didn’t get one shotted. Let your team do dps and you be a distraction

i still don't know what the hell i'm supposed to do against red dabi with close combat characters that gemma seem unbeatable you come close and it activates maybe i would understand if i played him how he works but i don't have him so that's not a option i guess i mean i can try training mode but that's not the same as a real match . i could use toga but idk it's not the same in my opinion as actually being bale to play the character. soo i guess i'll have to hope i get him in a future banner or something and than i'll know. fortunately for me this is a team game if i can't deal with a opponent maybe they can. i don't think this is the end for rapid or close range fighters though again this is a team game so 1 character isn't gone make a whole class horrible it's just something you need to watch out for.

My biggest characters that needs nerfs are afo kendo toga and denki . Red dabi and red deku need slight tweaks coming from a ace player

Disagree on rapids a bit. Lol uptil now rapids have had the favorable role - w/ less effort. Hit and running easily destroying technical dabi the only difference is now rapids have to be more tactical and togas have to use their braincells to play. The counter for rapids to beat strike dabi, is distance management...bro is literally dying & rips once guard broken

Speaking of bugs. I keep getting this bug where it says tye ammo for my all 3 of my quirks, and special action is 1. Then when I use them they stay at zero and not recharge. Is it me getting this bug? My friends have not gotten it once. And does anyone know what causes it?

There’s a bug with Dabi when you try to hug Mr. Compress as he’s vanishing you get stuck in the hug animation until you get attacked. Also, can confirm hugging Mirio when he was using permeation lol Tracking Aizawa, Froppy, Ida all the runners has been so fun with Dabi. Really fun season so far 🤙🏽

Seems absolutely fine that rapids have new weaknesses, because they barely have any due to being a mobility type character in a shooter type game. The other characters from different classes having different weaknesses that balance them (most of them). The only thing that shouldn't fly is the tracking from Dabi onto permeation Mirio. Otherwise rapids will still be fine because they are the masters of hit and run, which allows them to stall and wait out cooldowns or durations of abilities, just less overpowered.

Another bug idk if youve encountered it yet but ive come across permanent tornado allmight he can still attack and use his other abilities but when you attack him it does no damage and you hear the reflect sound ive seen someone mention it on reddit and its been happening to me for like a week now almost every allmight i fight

I’m an Uraraka main and new dabi is difficult to fight but I have beat them once or twice I also have had new dabi since the day he came out and when. I play with him and I’m in a big group of people if I try to run with his beta it tracks to the people instead💀

I think Twice is the only rapid that doesn’t get hard countered by Dabi red because his alpha allows him to keep his distance and his gamma stuns so you can do a gamma air neutral combo to knock Dabi down and get away before he can react you can also get free damage in if you get him to hug a clone leaving him open to alphas
