It is another boss sadly. You can see why because there is 2 bosses that has the name "hornet" on the boss board where you can see every bosses you encountered in the boss room, a place where you practice your skill against the bosses in the pantheons of godhome

This video just popped up in recommend, and after i finished the entire video had i seen how big your channel was. You are really underrated, the video never managed to bore me and it had some incredible editing. After watching a huge ton of skurry and mossbag, most hollow knight vids got repetitive, so this was a nice change of pace for me. Keep up the good work! (Commenting cus i know how bad the algorithm is sometimes.) (I also love the TF2 parts)

Great video and the editing is just top notch. There’s also another way to do this, 2 fully charged cyclone slashes with fury will also take her out if you get nail 3 (basin ore, crown ore, 31 grubs). Some tricky platforming to cdash should unlock pretty much the entire map, and saves having to do the skip to hornet 2.

Great video! I think it would be funny if you did a sequel in which you ended hornet in one hit by doing cyclone slash + fury of the fallen with a pure nail for 276 damage, sadly this can't be done with a coiled nail because it does 222 damage barely under hornet's 225 hp💀

I thought beating Hornet 2 wouldn't be allowed as well. So in that case you need to use cyclone slash. With 2 nail upgrades and fury, you need to hit 9 hits (max is 6 per cyclone). If you also take the crown paleore and farm a couple of dream trees for 300 essence, you can even do it without fury

really good video, though honestly it kinda lingered on things it didn't need to, like moving through areas shouldn't take that big of the video showing why you made certain routing decisions should be more important. Like why two hits ? and why shriek and not something else ? and why tram pass and not shade skip into blue lake ? I know the answer to all of those questions, but not everyone do, and maybe showing you failing for example to get to city through blue lake could be more interesting than deepnest movement

I wonder if you can do this with Cyclone Slash + Fury Of The Fallen & Fragile Strength combo. I bet you can access Mato in Howling Cliffs without double jump/dash, and upgrade nail 2 times with 1 piece of pale ore (300 essense in Resting Grounds or get one in Ancient Basin)

You can get up there using an aspid. It's just really a pain to get them positioned right to do it and prey they don't wreck you. Team Cherry might be taking a while to refine the game so it can't be exploited with tricks to get to areas without the items you really need. Like softlocking yourself in the archives if you don't have c. dash. We can always try to convince Skyrim Grandma to get into HK so she can guilt trip Team Cherry to speed up development on Silksong.

17:19 You can actually get to hornet 2 by pogoing off the aspid. it's annoying as fuck and took me the better part of forty minutes to pull off (mostly from the run-backs) but very doable.
