I tried to beat MHGU with a Rusted Sword & Shield... one of the more difficult challenges I've faced especially since I could only use a garbage weapon. This time I did it in High Rank which would make this challenge a nightmare. Enjoy the video.

Keep in mind, I was in Low Rank Armor for just over half of the High Rank progression. That and I was doing this challenge on an already completed save file to make this less painful (Which is why the palicoes were lvl 60+). Not to mention the amount of times I had to cycle quests to get Valstrax in the Ruined Pinnacle map for the progression to make sense. I also made the set I made because I basically couldn't access skills like bludgeoner and bitter affinity because those skills weren't accessible. One requires hunting Akantor and the other requires access to G rank. I had minds eye oil and chaos oil to make up for the lack of skills I would otherwise need. I put all this information here because this whole thing put in a video would kill the retention. Also I absolutely loved editing this video! I feel that I've improved my work so much thanks to the inspiration and practice I've gotten. Thanks to those who watched this video all the way through! You are appreciated! EDIT: If you wanna see G rank, I maybe will do it eventually....

Here are a few ways for the diverse problems: -using Alchemy style for the whetstones and gives you also a third art slot, which you can use the Magala flu, then replace with Chaos Oil (which you obtain in G rank) -Handicraft and Razor sharp are classics for this problem, but Heavy Polish, especially with Speed Sharpening, is broken (Honeblade scale is good too, but exclusive to G rank Seregios) -Mind's Eye (and its oil) is a certified classic -You can use whetfish if you end up lacking of whetstones -For the affinity, here's the list of solutions: affinity oil (+30%), Chaos Oil (+15 to +30%), Repeat Offender (+25 - 30%), Weakness Exploit (+50%), Critical Eye (+10 to +30%), the Magala flu (+15%), and the negative crit skill Anyway, it's fun to see you going nearly like Let Me Solo Her. For when you do G-Rank and get to Ahtal-Ka, I recommend something with Protective Polish, Mind’s Eye, and Handicraft to save whetstones

Im not sure if G Rank will be possible with the length of the fights. Hypers are deffinately not possible haha

Did you really think 100 damage sns can kill G rank monster when they have 2 times more hp and armor

@@sussybaka3648 even the most optimal build with effective damage of 900+ they still need at least 6 minutes to kill G rank monster tier, I highly doub they can kill monster fast enough with 100 damage weapon with tiny 1.05 sharpness multiplier solo without cheating like reaver. Heck they even failed MHW no hit run so I highly doubt they can finish all g rank with heroic active the entire time. In this run reaver cheating by using endgame palicos with 300+ damage, I mean they literally deal more damage than him in the entire hunt and he can't even progress if he didn't use g rank palicos.

i was wondering couldnt u use a armor set with bludgeoner and minds eye on it , i think it would helped u a lot and u didn't had to use so many whetstones. anyway gongrats to your challenge victory and i'm pumped to see more of these challenges
