I find it really interesting that in both challenges you got stuck at the exact same spot in Hang Castle. You couldn’t clear it with only Sonic cause Tails needed to pull the lever, and you couldn’t complete it without him because you need the Lightspeed Dash

It is sad that neither of these challenges are completable, but there is a nice moral: “Sometimes, you have to work with others to get something done.”

What's funny is Knuckles from SA1 or SA2 could just glide/climb through all of this and do it solo. It's not Knuckles and Tails holding Sonic back, it's the other two holding Knuckles back.

I'm pretty sure someone already made this comment but I might as well anyway xD: 6:00 You can actually make it past that section using Thundershoot with Tails. He'll convert every shot into small bursts of forward momentum without depleting the flight meter. It's slow, but it is possible to make that gap. Awesome videos as always Nate!

If I remember correctly, if you use thunder shoot, and move forward slightly, you get a very small movement without using your boost while flying. It's very small, but it would make tons of these horizontal jumps possible.

Those little circles on the sonic heroes logo, I bet they inspired how the snacks for the spirits look in super smash bro’s ultimate

I noticed someone who played Team Chaotix, they were able to infinitely fly with Charmy doing a flight glitch (takes time) if this can also work with Tails it might be possible to beat this game without Sonic.

This caught me off guard since I was watching the one with Sonic earlier.

Btw, it's possible to disable characters completely. I've done it before using the Sonic Heroes Trainer. I'd recommend trying it if you don't want characters you don't wanna use just hanging around.

I do remember that at level 3 Tails' Thunder Shoot or Knuckes' aerial smashes gains wind properties, allowing to use poles and sunflowers.

Damn it, I was expecting the intro to be, "heroes, heroes, heroes, heroes."

There are 2 flight tricks that could be used to get past some of the pole/flower obstacles. Using thundershoot stops the flight gauge from emptying for a short time, and there's a way to the flight boost without actually landing (it's been ages since I played, so I don't remember if it's possible with teams other than Rose and Chaotix, but I do remember it being very difficult to pull off if you're not flying into a wall).

Take a shot every time he says "flight flight boost" you'll die of alcohol poisoning

7:29 as a kid when I was playing through this level, I didn’t know how to wall-jump as sonic. Though it took me hours of trying and failing to get past it through other means, I actually ended up finding this trick with tails that’s showcased here, and it was the only reason I was ever able to complete the game. I’m sure I wasn’t the first one to do it, but I’ve always thought it was kinda cool that I figured out how to do an exploit like that at such a young age.

That ending plug for the previous video actually made me hope for another one of these, like from one of the other teams or something

I hate when I get the random urge to play this game, I've always loved it. I wish they would make a part 2, love the sonic games you play as multiple characters

There's this one trick you can do to go up poles without using Sonic or Shadow, you have to gather everyone with power formation (Knuckles or Omega), then as you jump and the characters fly around you, immediately switch to Tails or Rouge and then apparently you can also gain wind from that and the flight formation character can swing up.

Bullet Station is possible. After the Area where Team Rose finishes the level you go on Some rails and you can do a glide with Knuckles that get you far enough to skip the poles.

A lot of the times you need a long flight distance, you can do it Thunder shooting stops the flight bar from draining, so when you fly, you can move and shoot at the same time to get extra distance, and if you micromanage it, you can go far horizontally

I waited SO LONG fr this video, I had to wait about 24 hours

That’s why Sonic is in Smash where Tails and Knuckles are only there for the olympics

I recall being able to use those tornado pole things as tails if you fire sonic and he's level 3, it acts similar to a homing attacked

This is one of my all time favorite Sonic games

I don't remember any part of Bingo Highway looking like the area shown at 3:20, and I've played through that level many times

isn't it possible to use these tornado poles without sonic though? I remember that getting 3 yellow tails orbs his attacks have an effect where when you shoot these tornado poles you can use them as if you used sonics tornado on them

There are parts where you must do the dash through a line of rings which are the only way of travelsal. Same with poles.
