Our challenge today is beating Super Mario 64 DS without collecting any coins. Can it be done? Let's find out. Follow Me on Twitter / cmeecraft Facebook / cmee.craft #isitpossible
Mario:You have to help us beat Mario 64 DS without collecting coins. Wario:Are you insane, why would I do that? Yoshi:Yoshi. Wario:That's not convincing. Luigi:But you can steal all of the coins we've avoided after we save the princess. Wario:Deal.
The Luigi Backflip is so broken that you can actually do some levels you are meant to do with other characters with Luigi, I forget which exactly though, its been a long time.
Ok but now I'm just picturing that scene, but instead of surtur rising out of the castle it's just Luigi suddenly flying out of the roof of the castle in a grand backflip before landing on the ground next to Thor.
@@sauce4279 theres a joke where people say that yoshi commits tax fraud, it might come from fortune street where yoshi asks to be exempt from paying taxes
Luigis backflip creates infinite Energy. Crease gaming here to explain tell me, how does luigis backflip cause infinite energy? Ceave: Well, it’s actually quite simple
I liked how you showed the full ds and showed two different parts of the level at the same time. That was pretty cool! And the video was great! Ps. If your looking for another challenge, I tried beating super Mario 64 ds while only playing as yoshi and not collecting any of the character caps (except for the bowser fights because you have to).
One thing I don't like about SM64 DS is the lack of the BLJ, now whenever you get stuck in Gay Baby Jail with SimpleFlips, it's even more impossible to escape.
What about the last stage (The Rainbow Ride Stage?) How many Stars are able to be obtained on that stage, and I want to see if it is possible to beat Super Mario Sunshine without collecting a single coin.
Everytime I visit the remake of 64, I remember how grateful we should be to Yoshi for helping beat Bowser in his prime when Yoshi's known to lose against the adult Koopa all the time.
Dude you wasted so much time. On the stand tall on all 4 pillars mission you could've just rode the shell to safely get to them without touching the coin hovering above. And you can skip the whole of the chief chilly stage at the start if you go to the right and back flip all the way to the end ._.
Now try beating the game without jumping, I got stuck at Bowser In The Dark World, but perhaps you know how to beat it without jumping. Also, I define jumping as any vertical movement caused by the B button. Edit: No cheats or glitches allowed.
I will say, as someone who did this challenge, I had a lot of fun doing Super Mario 64 DS without any coins. In fact, I know the exact amount of stars you can get without touching single coin. And it is a flat 100 stars. And that is unless someone manages to find a way to get inside the slide without touching any coins or else it goes up to 102. And I guess that if someone finds a way to enter specific star episodes without touching any coins or crazier yet, getting 100 coin stars and red coin stars without touching any coins, we can get that counter up even more.
It seems like Nintendo decided to start using normal hardware when making the switch (for example, a 64-bit CPU, something that hadn't been on a new Nintendo console in 21 years), so a lot of these ports are Nintendo rewriting their games now so they can be played on this normal hardware.
I know that you only mentioned this at like, the start of the video, but with the recent ports, they just people to experience the hard work that they put into games for the Wii U now that they have access to a larger audience of fans
Can you beat Super Mario 63 without coins? (It's a super cool flash game. You can find it on Newgrounds. It's about the length of a proper game, and plays super well.) Preferably by using the normal route, rather than taking a bunch of shortcuts, but you can still do that if you so choose.
I did this challenge two times when i was younger and i still love to think about the memories of using glitches to get stars with zero coins. I got 82 stars with glitches
Unobtainable: Red Coin Stars 100 Coin Stars (15) Mario Wings to the Sky Slip Slidin' Away Big Penguin Race Soaked Silver Stars 5 Secrets of the Mountain Tick Tock Silver Stars DO THE RAINBOW RIDE STARS
One quick correction: for Shifting Sand Land, Luigi's backflip lets you get to the room with Eyerok without standing on any of the pillars. So you don't have to worry about the coins there. Just backflip into that hole in the red box in the pyramid, smash the coin and walk straight into the boss battle. Either way, nice video, and it's great to see a Mario game where the coinless challenge is pretty trivial.
3:46 or, because slopes are far better in the DS version, you can simply triple jump on the slope and reach the platform with the star. That is literally impossible on the N64 version, and trust me, I really tried hard, because I wanted to like both versions, none of my short cuts I found are possible on the N64 version (Shoot into the Wild Blue shortcut and The Amazing Emergency Exit way hecka fast short cut, and then I think a few others I don't quite remember, but I did them all with Mario), the N64 version requires way too much precision, and lastly, it's just ugly and I cannot get used to the controls on the N64 version, however, there are a few little detail positives about the N64 version, such as 3 switch palaces, fog in Jolly Rodger Bay, the Wind in Big Boos Haunt, and the Ice Mazes in Snowman's Land (beginning and inside the igloo, but even then, I can hack those into the DS version, and same with everything else I just mentioned such as adding fog to Jolly Rodger Bay's better looking DS model, and adding the wind Big Boo's Haunt song ambiance over an unneeded ambiance such as the Underwater version of Jolly Rodger Bay's music since it's hardly noticable and putting it a Mugen Object into Big Boo's Haunt, heck it might even be possible to add a new ambiance, but I don't know how to do that, and the buttons, I don't know how to do that, but Skelux did it, I know that).
"Mario 64 DS WIIU" Jesus Nintendo how many consoles can you squeeze into the title? I swear to god if we get Starfox 64 3D Switch Swap Fusion Dolphin Revolution...…………...
Great video! I was actually doing a coinless playthrough of the game recently and this has been a big help for a couple stars. However, I did try to get all the stars I could get coinless. Turns out you can actually get all the non-coin stars in Rainbow ride, as well as a total of 18 secret stars. Basically anything that didn't require red or 100 coins is doable. The most annoying ones were the second secret slide star which require you to beat it under 21 seconds and battle fort considering that breaking brick blocks spews coins all over the place. You're kind of up to RNG at that point. Funnily enough, the total amount of stars you can get coinless is exactly 100
Nice video! It would have been neat if you went beyond the 80 minimum to see how many other stars you could get without collecting coins. The rabbits and the free one behind the mirror jump to mind.
People ask how surface of the water heals you here's how When your under water for to long you take damage and when you swim back up its like mario coming back up for air/health The game is pretty old so when you go to the surface it thinks you were underwater and if you were damaged by enemy's/no breath it always thinks you just ran out of breath I hope this helped
Mario’s super wall kick? More like Luigi’s super backflip! Edit: Blast to the lonely mushroom? Yknow I think that’s a typo, it’s supposed to say backflip to the lonely mushroom
Let's see: "What is the minimum amount of yen required to beat Okami?", "Can you beat Kirby's Epic Yarn without touching/collecting a single gem?", "What is the minimum amount of praise required to beat Okami (if any)?", and this is out there, but "Can you beat Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for PC without collecting a single bean?"
0:34 I Like How You Made The Coin-Less Runs Make More Sense. At First, I Questioned Why Anyone Wouldn't Want Money. But You Clarified That Taking Coins Would Be Stealing, & Nobody Wants To Go To Jail!
Having trouble with repairs on your roof? Are your car tires deflated? Is there tape stuck in your hair? Then use the Luigi Backflip! There’s nothing a Luigi Backflip can’t handle! Try now!
Good video, rather in depth. However, I do believe you're putting a sort of front with your voice and it's quite unnatural. I'd suggest you just speak normally, though that's just my opinion.
You said you can get A star from Peach's Secret Slide. While it's risky and might take a couple tries, you should be able to get the second star by jumping off from high up onto the power section. I haven't tried this, but I probably will at some point (even though it doesn't really matter since you still won).
wario land II coinless (wario land 1 maybe, but the final boss worth 300 coins there) sm 63 coinless? (its a fangame) or wario land shake it maybe (i know about nothing about that game, o maybe you have to pay in it sometimes) smg 2 coinless (after you could complete starbit less, why not coinless?)
Can you beat any of the 3 original Crash Bandicoot games without wumpa fruit? This can be done with the originals or the N Sane trilogy, each one having some new mechanics to help out, such as Crash controlling slightly different, and the N Sane trilogy having an analog stick instead of just a d pad. If you attempt this, I’d be really happy if you just did one game in the trilogy, but if you tried all 3 it really would make me happy.
wario land II coinless (wario land 1 maybe, but the final boss worth 300 coins there) sm 63 coinless? (its a fangame) or wario land shake it maybe (i know about nothing about that game, o maybe you have to pay in it sometimes) smg 2 coinless (after you could complete starbit less, why not coinless?)
Wario Land Shake It coinless or Wario World coinless. If you play Wario World, I would recommend trying the Japanese version since it has a better final boss
Not sure if I’m late or not to make a suggestion but try beating red and blue without throwing a single pokeball. It should theoretically be possible since the game has a lot of Pokémon you can get without catching them such as buying a magikarp to then evolve into gyarados for surf, the fossil Pokémon, the arcade Pokémon, the fighting Pokémon from the dojo, a lapras and an eevee. I believe another game you can do this challenge in is b2 and w2, not sure about regular bw
Mario Kart Wii without item boxes would be cool. Your goal is to get gold on every cc without hitting an item box. The boxes in Delfino Square that put a mushroom or banana on the ground don't count, same with the leaf piles in maple treeway. Any mushrooms on the ground you can grab are allowed. Thunderclouds are fine if you get hit by one.
You should play the game regularly until you unlock Luigi and use Mario for the bowser fights but try to beat the game using only the Luigi backflip to move (you can open doors)
