honestly, all of these E-reader levels can essentially be... 'super mario advance: the lost levels', for before this was ported to the wii u, we all couldn't easily play these levels, and even if ya had a full set? too bad, half are japan only! either way, glad to see more people playing through these levels, for there's a lot of wild surprises in them! and I mean, who can't forget the Ludwig fight where he goes down in a single stomp?
For anyone with a Wii U, just buy the game there, it comes with the e-reader levels. So you don't have to try and track all those parts down to try this yourself.
@@kaspervletter290 It is absooutly possible. All 38 levels are present in the Wii U version, and the game does remember your current power up, plus it has the inventory system. These are NOT isolated levels with no continuity between them.
@@kaspervletter290 Your memories are just wrong, I'd say. Mario's status remains on the world map. You probably just took damage and finished the level small.

I’m surprised Nintendo actually added new levels to Mario Advance 4 but couldn’t be bothered to open super Mario maker and add at least a whole new world of levels into NSMBU DX (No all you get is Peach + Toadette from super Mario run and it gets a deluxe treatment)

Mario Advance 4 was the closest we ever got to a gameboy advance mario platformer, if they released the e reader levels as stand-alone and had a different art style it would have been perfect, but this is fine, probably my favorite GBA game aside from maybe superstar saga
probably cause a lot of rom hacks and fan games are based on Mario 3, especially cause of the fact some enemies that appeared in later games appeared here, giving that fan game vibe lol
These are the kind of levels that should have been possible in Mario Maker. It is seriously sad that the game is so restrictive that it doesn't allow for blending elements from multiple games like Nintendo did here. For a $60 game the amount of content that the game lacks and all the restrictions governing how the elements can be combined is disappointing. Anyway these levels were really cool and I never knew about them prior. I'm just jealous that for many of these, I can't make anything even similar in Mario Maker without serious work arounds or poorer quality imitations.
If you want, you could try Super Mario X 2 It's a very good fan game that has elements from Mario 1, 2, 3 and World as well as some bonus elements from new super mario and some other Nintendo games. Also, yes! There is a Level Editor
If you can fly while crouched that first set of coins in mushroom 21 could be skipped... I can't remember if tou can do that in this version of mario 3 though
why does this feels like a fangame? i mean, nintendo nowdays is scaredd to put too much modern stuff into pixel mario games so i was surprised to see it hasnt allways been like this.

Wana know whats unfair? The said its possible to beat the smm1 level without a coin ... YET THERE WERE LESS IMPOSSIBLE ONES THEN POSSIBLE. But here you say not possible only cuz of 4? LIKE WHERE IS THE LOGIK THERE?! It should have been a yes!
