​@@MontagnaMagica that statement doesn't make sense. If the ball hits the ground before leaving the field of play in fair territory it must be ruled a "ground rule double" NOT a homerun.

@@MontagnaMagica I think it's a bug. I highly doubt they programmed it based on time. It would be: If leaves field of play in fair territory and never touched the ground, then home run. If hit the ground then leaves the field of play past first or third base, then ground rule double. It would NOT make sense to put it based on time: If leaves field of play after (random number) 7 seconds, then home run.

@@holmj12 Maybe someone who has actually looked at the code could tell us for sure, but in my experience, a quick ground ball out of play there is a home run, and a towering fly ball that bounces slowly out of view is a ground rule double.
