A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...Molly took on the newest theme park challenge! She's headed to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios to see if it's possible to do EVERY SINGLE THING in just one day. From blue milk to seeing Kylo Ren, and riding Rise of the Resistance to piloting the Millennium Falcon, prepare for a challenge that's out of this world.

You guys should start putting in the dates of when Molly attends so people can better plan their future trips! For example, my mom and I are tracking wait times before our trip to figure out if we want to even bother with Genie+. The wait times here seem in line with 1-2 weeks ago when it was right after new years.

I like these videos... But the thing that would make it really fun, is a 4 person video (stimulating a family, especially if they get into character) trying to do all of this... I could just imagine Breed Love being the snarky moody teenager trope. The taxing 4 person party could be a more realistic video for families traveling.

Fun idea! Use the coke/sprite bottles for Christmas decorations. Just drill a small hole in the lid, glue the lid shut after threading string/yarn through the lid. Boom- Reusable Disney Christmas decor :)

Droids you build at Droid Depot do not interact with each other - they only interact with the land. Different areas have Bluetooth signals indicating Resistance, Smuggler, and First Order areas, and droids with personality chips will react based on their allegiance.

The light saber is a very expensive souvenir BUT it is also an experience, like a character meal. And you can bring a guest so two people can attend even though you can only make one light saber. I mean dinner at Space 220 is a MEAL that costs about $192 when you include tax and a 15% tip… both experiences but one you get food and one you get a souvenir.

Successfully rope dropped and walked on to Rise on last week on Tuesday, then hit of Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, (no wait for Coaster and 10 min for Tower) not a big fan of the other Star Wars rides so skipped those (could have easily got LL's but Star Tours makes us a bit nauseous, and just didn't love Smugglers Run). Got my LL for Slinky dog asap that morning but time was 3pm, at the 120 rule booked Coaster since we didn't use LL in the morning. Did the Lightning McQueens Racing Academy show, saw Minnie and it was time for our lunch reservation, after watched Muppets 3D went to Ogas , then watched Indian Jones and went to our LL's for Coaster and Slinky Dog and headed over to Epcot. The day prior we also successfully rope dropped Seven Dwarfs and walked on.

We first went to Galaxy’s Edge in WDW in January 2020. We did everything, including Smuggler’s Run three times, in one day, except seeing Vi and stopping at Kat Saka’s. It’s doable. It’s just a long, fun day.

Droid depot is also where you can ship items home so if you build a bunch of droids and lightsabers and worry about taking home on a plane just ship them off right from the park.

Regarding the stormtrooper for $6,600, you can join the 501st Legion (a Star Wars costuming club) and build your own for about $1,200. Just saying...

We did smugglers run as soon as park opened for early entry and hopped right on as everyone else was in line for Rise of the Resistance. Plus hardly anyone else was by the Falcon, so we got some nice pictures. Then we did Rise at night and got on in about 30ish mins. Then hopped right back on in line with the park closing in 5 mins. We were pretty lucky that day. Thanks Molly, this was fun to watch and remember my recent visit there. I didn’t do everything so it’s great to see the things we missed. I wasn’t a big fan of the blue / green milk, it tasted like plastic.

I would love to see some new best day ever videos with a combination of genie+ and standby lines being used. The all genie+ videos are nice but it's not really realistic to what people will be doing with it.

Love the videos. We are going on a Sat in mid Sept. Going to spend EE am in main Hollywood and afternoon ans evening in GE. I've seen the food challenge. Do you guys have a drink challenge from Oga? I'd love to see one with all the different drinks and thoughts on them (especially Jedi mind trick) looking forward to more videos.

For my first trip October 3rd 2021…(so you can only imagine how packed all the parks were not just magic kingdom) but we waited for ride of the resistance from 5PM to 7PM and it broke down as soon as we got on the ride vehicle, they gave us a fast pass to ride again, which we saved since we were going back to Hollywood studios a second day, well the fast pass was expired then…we asked a cast member if they could add it back for us at guest services, and they brought us to a line then unlocked some chains and let us into a line that wasn’t open and had no one in it, then they brought a man from guest services and they hooked us up, not only did we get a fast pass to rise of the resistance, but to everything in galaxy’s edge, and he also gave ME a cast member exclusive pin he had, he definitely went above and beyond and made our trip that much better!

Thanks for all your videos. Now that the holidays are over and you have done those wonderful testing of genie plus videos , can you please do a video for each park where you use genie plus to go through your day and use it normally. So I mean Incorporate genie plus as if you were going though the park to try to ride or see most attractions. Most of the genie plus videos you zig zagged all over park, tested if worth the price, and timed between using and not using for certain attractions. But if you are coming for a few days and only at each park 1 day , how can you maximum your day with genie plus. Hope that makes sense. Coming in 3 weeks trying to plan and see if genie plus is a good option and how to maximize my day without overdoing it! Love you guys and thanks for your hard work!!

I’ve heard the light saber can’t be taken on rides, so I think I’ll save it for the evening! Great advice to do it at lunch, though, especially if you’re leaving the park afterwards for a break. Last I heard the carrying cases were out of stock and Disney was handing out clear plastic bags and offering a 10% discount after someone complained and it went viral. But not sure if that’s still the case! I did reserve Droid Depot for my son in the evening! I didn’t know that other Droids can interact with one another! That’s so cool! Loved the tour, Molly, and the witty editing!

As of last week 1/13/2022 this is still the case! No carrying cases still but were given a plastic bag and a discount on the price because of the case shortage. Our reservation was at 10:05 PM so one hour after park close which was PERFECT because I took so many cool nighttime photos of my bf with his saber without any people intruding in the shots. And like you said he didn't have to drag it around all day, saving it for the end. Highly recommend!!

I was worried after my 9:25pm reservation (for the same reason, plus thematically it seems so cool to discover a temple or build a saber at night), I'd already be pushed out while wanting crowdless night photos

A droid is one of the top things I'm excited about too (albeit as a big kid 31 year old lol). Just to let you know, the droid interactions, I've heard from some people who do these sorts of vlogs and advice for Disney/Galaxy's Edge, they are vocal randomly as is natural and makes them seem alive more when outside of the park, but the true interactions seem to only occur inside the park because they have constant bluetooth tech in the parks. Also, interactions with other people's droids or certain areas are increased depending on personality chips (like a Resistance chip going to First Order places or meeting a FO droid will react negatively, or in the Resistance base will be happy, etc.), while the original non-chip programming is less guaranteed to be interactive per specific areas I think. I hope that's helpful info 🙂

@@SirMysticRob That's true about the droids, we saw a group of kids huddled around theirs at one point driving them around in circles and letting them talk to each other. It was cool! As far as feeling rushed out of the park, we didn't feel that way at all. There were cast members standing in certain spots to kind of help start to shut things down, but the main paths were clear and we were able to pick a few diff spots for photo ops. They are also required to keep transportation running until parks are clear, so we were able to catch the skyliner at 10:50 even though the posted end time was 10:30!

So I rode Rise of the Resistance via lightning lane due to a child swap. You miss all the backstory when riding LL. It is definitely a better experience using standby!

What? Lightning Lane skips the actual pre-show/entry line stuff too? I'm glad you commented so I discovered this before my first visit. I just assumed it immediately brings one to that entrance a bit more briefly...that's not cool... I guess that's the sacrifice for not waiting over an hour, but still, it costs extra so we should get the whole experience and just be able to skip the outside long wait, in my opinion. I do wonder if Rider Swap actually makes the skip vs regular LL though, based on what I've read about how swap works

@@SirMysticRob yes! I didn't even know about the pre show until after I rode and then my husband was telling me all this cool stuff and I realized I missed it. I have since watched a ride video and it is way better with the preshow. The ride is amazing but imo you want the entire experience. I dont think rider swap changes anything because they gave me a LL pass for me and my son and we entered LL with everyone else. Could be something to research.

Can you ship your light saber or droid home directly from the shop? I know right now the option to have items sent from a park to your hotel is not available. The option to ship home from the shop would affect when we try to make our reservations.

I would love to go to WDW again someday. Sadly, Disney Genie is discouraging me. Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is DEFINITELY NOT on my agenda. I haven’t seen The Force Awakens or The Rise of Skywalker, but I have seen The Last Jedi, and it makes Battlefield Earth look like Terminator 2. If I were to go to WDW now, my agenda would include: Revisiting favorite rides from years past, including Space Mountain, Test Track and Mission Space The Wilderness Explorer’s Trail in Animal Kingdom Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which despite being cheap as hell, I might enjoy at least one ride on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Ratatouille is one of my favorite movies from my late teens! I still own my Blu Ray of it and the PS3 game!

Batuu West has the Ronto-less wrap, it’s different than the zucchi wrap … I’m not even a 🌱 vegan, I legit like it better than the Ronto. Not that I don’t love the Ronto, my hubby and I usually get one of each and trade bites off, the Ronto-less is usually gone first! ALSO, Batuu West Ronto Roasters doesn’t close at 3 pm. We love going to Batuu in the evening, not as crowded and all the lights and ambience is super cool. Making reservations for droids or light sabers later because you don’t have to carry them around all day!! Also, we were told the Life Day merch was out on a boat and was delayed because of supply chain issues, isn’t everything?! I think this is also why there is still Halloween and Christmas merch is still in the parks 🤔 just my .02

I really had a hard time navigating this land. The cast members were not helpful and everything was labeled in the star wars made-up language. I never found the attractions and was very disappointed because it was not busy the day we were there and Rise of the Resistance was walk on that day. No reservation was needed but I couldn't get anyone to help me find the attraction.

I always refer to the Disney app map to find where we are compared to the ride and follow that. I've also asked cast members and they've always answered politely

Rise….my experience is that it was not worth the 3 hours I had to wait and the 2 or 3 breakdowns while riding it. It MAY be an OK ride….however not “best ride” Not worth it as they definitely need to work on the quality issues with the ride. Get it to run without issues and then MAYBE it would be better. I’d rather ride “Small World “ 100 times than sit for 3 hours in line.

Unpopular opinion: smugglers run is more fun than rise. I had my first visit to galaxy’s edge last week. While rise is INCREDIBLE as a concept the overall experience was just a little off for me… everyone taking pictures while captured, the first order telling you to remove and carry your bags… those things really killed the suspension of disbelief. Smugglers run felt more immersive to me. Also, the MANY videos I have watched did nothing to help me navigate the land.

You can't say you did the challenge to do "everything" in one day when you don't do two of the biggest experiences there (Build-a-Droid and Build-a-Lightsaber). And always sucks that the advice to do "everything" always starts with rope-drop the park. How about doing the challenge without spending extra money on Disney resorts, Genie+, or Lightning Lanes. Now that's a real challenge.
