I went into sword and shield with no spoilers whatsoever. When I was in the wild area and exploring I did a lot of raids and got a lot of exp candy. I remained overleved for the entirety of the game simply due to exploring

You could ohko Hop's entire team and he would still call it a close match.

You CAN get a level 100 Pokemon in the first hour- IF and only IF you have Two Switches ;)

To anyone excited to get ONLINE and do this, just know this is 2 consoles in a LOCAL session. A trainer without 8 badges cannot see a 5* raid over the internet. Also if you’re willing to do a second run on another console, switch languages(Spanish is super easy) so you can help the community get dittos for the Masuda method.

In 5 or so years when people start doing save file searches of sword and shield and see a few hour, for example 26 hours and are like . “only 26 hours not much huh” then they look at the pc with several level 100’s maybe a shiny one too!

I just realised in 65 hours of playtime I still have no pokemons to level 100, not even close actually, my highest is level 88.

Its insane how much xp they give you in this game. I feel like I'm over leveled all the time.

I played the game and got the "Let's go" special Pikachu and Eevee, and I overleveled Pikachu because I was struggling on Nessa

IRemember when I first got the game I really loved the whole raids feature I spent a good 5 hours just exploring the wild area and catching pokemon. And uhh sort of got my entire team above level 60 before the first gym.

The stars on your league card should determine the pokemon you can battle in raids. For example, 2 stars on card= you can only battle 2 star or 1 star raid pokemon. Just an idea for future installments.

I went through on my first playthrough and just basically solo'd with Scorebunny line and with the always on exp share... by time I got to the last gym which is a double battle, I had my Cinderence at level 65 and everyone else at 55 only fighting trainers and if I happened to run into a pokemon in the wild and I didn't use exp candies... to the point I had to put my Cindernce in the PC so he wouldn't get anymore exp so I can make the game somewhat more fair... the games have been getting easier and anyone who says otherwise just want to be contrarian... I still go back and play gen 3/4/5 and without some grinding at certain parts even if you solo 1 pokemon, you can easily lose some of the fights... It is almost impossible to lose now even with bad type matchups Also Pyroball says it can burn... but in 30 hours of gameplay... I have yet to get a burn with it, is it bugged or something? used it like 500 times 0 burns at 10% it should of done it 50 times

Yeah the raid feature is insane when it comes to the amount of XP you can get from it. I find it funny as hell to walk up to the champion with level 100 pokemon and sweep his entire team without ever getting hit not to mention this makes training pokemon so much easier as this way you can get a pokemon to level 100 without having it gain EV's from fighting wild pokemon

When I first got to the wild are, I ended up overleveling because of the hard battles just by the raids

This going to be useful for competitive battlers as now they have an easy way to get all their Pokemon to level 100

This is exactly what happened to me in my first playthrough. Safari zone was so much fun and new and wow, my team was in the high 80s. I never made it out of the Safari zone before I lost interest^^

This reminds me when I lost to Bea and I grinded up my team all the way to *level 40* before going back there again

I did this today by accident after making a french run for getting Masuda Method Ditto with my second Switch. Interesting to see this in my suggested on the same day.

This would be a great way to create a shinydex, with the pre-evolved starter as the only regular coloured mon, besides the other shiny locked legendary mons. If the shiny is the first one you catch/obtain of a pokemon, the dex entry will be the shiny form. this will let you get through the game to the point you can shiny hunt/transfer shinies from other games. Ultimate shiny challenge . Imagine getting the shiny charm only after having a complete shiny dex XD

You could actually use a lvl 1 Pokémon as the host, if the Ditto has Imposter.

I'm guessing this was their apology for the minimized pokédex

There is actually an easier way to do this, by doing Shedinja you’re significantly lowering the time it takes to finish the raid. It takes a few minutes for Ditto, but for Shedinja it only takes one hit. I feel if you had fought Shedinja instead you more than likely could have got level 100 in less than an hour. This is the fastest strategy to complete the game with ease to obtain the legendaries or rare pokeballs in my opinion.

5 star raids are locked behind gym badges so i assume you went online and joined other peoples raids then?

so im curious normally as you progress through the Pokemon games they tell you only certain Pokemon up to a certain level will obey you unless you have a certain badge, so did your level 100 Pokemon obey you all the time?

I would do this but I want to evolve my Pokémon along with the adventure so it's not that boring because if I go into the first gym with a level 100 Corviknight I'd one shot everything and that would be boring.

This is good for the fact you get level 100 as soon as you open your game but bad at the same time since you didn’t even work out the ev training and such...... unless you upgraded the dojo in isle of armor
