Is it possible to obtain multiple Sampos in Noita?

Recently, a Noita seed (529784078) was discovered in which a Sampo (Salt, the ending item of the game) can be acquired in a Great Treasure Chest. This begs the question: what happens to the Sampo at the bottom of the game, near the boss? Let's find out, by doing a full run on this seed.

You need to completely wipe your game, do that run again and never play noita again. You can then brag about how to you have a 200% success rate

As you know, "That which is below is like that which is above", so what happens if you somehow do toxic gold at the top of the map, and then get all the way down to the bottom to complete the work? Is it possible, and if so, can you even finish at that point?

I think you can't cause once you get to the top of the mountain, you gotta press E the end the work and that would consume both sampos

@@maximo666 Unless you, like, made it down to the bottom, got the sampo, came back up, opened the chest to have the other sampo out and available (and it's not turned to gold), did toxic gold, went back down, grabbed the second sampo, and then went all the way down to the bottom again. Extremely convoluted, but assuming the sampo isn't turned to gold with everything else, about the only way it could be done.

@@TheRandomLurker I agree. I would bet it would turn to gold, but would be nice to check it out. BTW as I ve never turned the world to toxic gold, I'm not sure if you can make your way down to the bottom at that point thou.

I recently had a game where Noita kept crashing after finishing the Work (End) while the gold was swirling. Then upon reloading Kolmi was alive again, but his previous corpses were also on the ground. I got 4 Sampos and Kolmi's lair was full of dead Kolmis. Was bizarre! I eventually killed myself in the End room, as it wasn't letting me win, lol.

I had a weird bug where, for some reason, Kolmi duplicated himself 10 times and gained infinite HP. As a result, there also spawned 10 sampos stacked over each other, which I all could pick up

If game autosaves during boss fight and you go back to that autosave, you get to keep the Sampo part and the boss resets, allowing you to pick up another one. You could repeat that as many times as you want. I found this out when teleportitis send me to lavalake and I decided to cheat.

I wonder why it starts the boss music when you pick up the first sampo as when you found the boss later on it wasn't aggroed I guess the game tries to activate the boss in the area, but since there is none, nothing happens, but the boss music starts anyways

We weren't close enough...but he will attack if you pick it up and head down to him right away (i.e. if you already dug through the world.)

If the parallel worlds are the same would the great chest be in the same place and give you the same item? In that case you could "farm" wins. You just collect 5 or 6 sampos, win, repeat...? Though I suppose it would probably be faster just to grab the one run back up top and repeat that over and over, more return on time investment. Still it'd be pretty hilarious to win multiple times in one run.

You can, but there's not really a point in doing that since you're still getting 2 victories at the end of the day. I'll do a follow-up video again showing something similar.

I accidentally crashed my game once and ended up fighting the boss second time. When I looked in my inventory I apperantly had kept the sampo from before the crash

It's also just a humorous figure of speech that obviously isn't meant to be taken seriously. Hell, even outright "lies" are not bad all the time. As someone who is almost always honest, paying the associated price time and time again, I still am true to myself enough to know that lying is sometimes the better thing to do in social interactions. I don't think there should be a social stigma against it. All things in moderation - including falsehood.

I prefer "edit", its a more classy name for one of the most useful perks in the game (yeah you can make a poor's man version by fucking up the holy mountain and returning to edit, but that can get pretty boring)

Unfortunately, it does not restart the timer. The "1 minit" trophy (and tree-chievement) also requires you to get into the end room near Kolmi. The mountain altar ending does not count for it.

In the beginning of the first episode of my Seed Showcase series (there are only 3 episodes, it's the one with the creepy liquid) I showed how to start Noita on a specific seed without using any mods.
