I can say that war films is my favorite genre. Any war from the dawn of time, I'll watch it. But it's not the war itself that fascinates me, but what good people are capable of in the face of it.

One of the greatest scenes in cinematic history. They were able to perfectly capture the intensity and gravity of the situation, just how vital that message was. I still worry he won't make it when I watch this scene, and I've seen the film multiple times.

This is the one bad-ass action movie moment of the movie. It's also someone trying to stop violence, which is pretty interesting.

Literally came to the comments for that bullshit. It's so bad. She's crying at the beginning of this scene and it's not even a sad part. He's just laying up against a tree exhausted. I like reaction stuff but when you get the stupid fucks that just turn it up to 100 for every single second, it's infuriating.

What I loved about Benedicts lines were that Lance Corporal Schofield did all of this for nothing. Sure he stopped it NOW. But he will recieve another message saying: "Attack at Dawn"

Yeah but there's a difference between attacking on your enemy's time and attacking on yours. Schofield evened the playing field and saved most of 1600 men from certain slaughter.

There was a controversy that a Sikh soldier was shown in this "British" movie, when apparently there were only whites there. The BIGGEST VOLUNTEER ARMY IN WORLD HISTORY WAS FROM INDIA IN WW1 AND WW2! While being only 2% of the population of India, the Sikhs made up of OVER 20% of that VOLUNTEER army!
