Hey Whit!! Just a heads up: In the instructions, it says to not have it on high temp with tension level 1! There's not enough airflow going through and it'll get much hotter than it's supposed to! with levels 2-7, you can put it on high🥰 I bought this revair for the blackfriday sale, and they can take all my monies xD I'm SO IMPRESSED. @@DivaDen The black friday total package was 399 (normally over 540 I think), and the revair + the bonus weekender bag ($50)was around $340-360. The black friday sale lasted a long time (until January, was renamed Total Sleigh package sale but the same discount) I personally saved up for years and bought the total package and other accessories. I also got insurance to make sure that it would be covered for at least 4 years since it was an investment😅♥ About the shoulder injury...honestly the revair can be a little arm intensive because of holding it. But for me, I just rest my arm on my knee (or a counter) as I Rev. If you're unsure, know that during black friday sales, you have 60 days to try it before returning (Jan 31st). I would also recommend getting the wand holder to make it easier to put down, because that holder that comes with the machine isn't that secure aka the wand fell off a few times. Good luck to you!!😍
For anyone else have a part issue: The wand and hose of the new model works interchangeably with the old model. Revair designed it that way. So you have the option of just getting the replacement part or having the new unit that is compatible with the old pieces.
To be fair tho, I’ve had it for MAAANY years! AND, I’ve traveled with it, and given it out to people to borrow on their own, so there’s been a lot of wear and tear out on it 💯💯❤️
@@LayLa-jw4pr Oh Noooo! I was close to purchasing this contraption years ago. I'm glad I reconsidered. The REVLON paddle brush hair dryer works great, and it was only $35. I have had it for at least 5 years.

I used mine this morning after my stylist used it on me at the salon. I was so impressed with her Rev Air v Dyson test. The RevAir results were amazing and smoother than the Dyson. 25 minutes to RevAir my entire head which will be faster once I get the hang of using it. I didn't realize those were hair ties and cut them off. 😮

I had the same fight with myself and I ended up selling the old one. I got the weekend duffel bag to store mine. Really helped with the dust. The smaller size was definitely worth the upgrade.

Mine lifted slightly too and I just tied a band around it. But so happy that you mentioned that I can buy a replacement part! I do this for many things and didn’t think about it for this since I use rarely with my locs!!! Love it!!

I bought a RevAir a few weeks ago. The thing arrived on the 3rd day! Yes, the 3rd day! It ships fast. I did not purchase the bundle because I did not need the clips. But now I wish I had because I need somewhere to store it and the storage bag would be prefect. So, now I need to order the storage bag for it separately. Would be cheaper to have bought the bundle😮💨. But I'm loving the RevAir! I bought it because it took almost 2 hours to blow dry my 13 year old daughter's waist length natural hair. With the Rev it took 40 minutes🥰and her hair was so soft, shiny and moisturized. Can't wait to use it for my hair after I take out my protective style. Only bought it because I trust Whitney's reviews 😊❤. Thank you!
At one point they offered current owners a pretty nice discount to purchase the new one, but I think that was when it first came out. I ended up finding someone to buy my old one for $200 (or $250?). That plus the discount made me super okay with the purchase. I agree, it's worth it. Very much a time saver, especially when you have very thick, long hair. Oh! I didn't get the new bag, but I kept the old one.
I love the way that you use the ReVair to stretch your coils, and I was SOO curious to see if you'd think the update is worth it. So, I'm really glad you decided to make this video (RIP to your old ReVair though lol). Thank you!!! I feel like I can buy it w/o worrying now lol
If you have the original revair the instructions state if using air speed level 1 use low or no heat. ( Do not use the high ( II ) tempetature setting unless using an air speed level of 2 or higher. The instructions may be diferent with the new revair.
Hey Whitney, If it makes you feel any better, mine also broke down and I contacted the company about it. Mine was under warranty so I got a replacement nozzle for free but because of the plastic they used in the first one they informed me that anything outside of their products was going to deteriorate the Revair. Needless to say, my new nozzle broke down after three more weeks. So... I also bought the new Revair and because they used like... Titanium or some kind of metal (probably aluminum), with a special coating so it doesn't overheat, to build it this time I don't think it'll break down nearly as easily. (Always love and appreciate your videos and products! Thank you for what you do!)
Worth the investment...so much easier. The best & only accessory I brought was the nozzle holder. Also, purchased the protection plan I just store back in the box & slide under the bed...works for me.😊
It is definitely better due to the size, but I dislike that you have to wrap the cord. If it was retractable, it would have been perfect. I won the first one during the annual November giveaway a few years ago and purchased the new one Nov 2022. It is so worth it, if you want to stretch your hair without heat damage or as a step-one to straighten your hair. I have the travel bag that zips up.
I've been saying (to myself) the hose needs to be retractable too. I would be fine if nothing changed but that. The hose is the biggest flaw of the whole machine. Storage, weight, amount of hose actually needed...
I’ve had my revair for almost 2 years and I absolutely love it. I use it for stretches twist outs or blow dried looks. I don’t like how big it it but I’m definitely not buying a new one. Luckily it fits in my linen closet so I’ll deal with it but I’m not throwing away $350
My husband bought me the RevAir for christmas and I want to like it so bad, but I swear I dont. I prefer my Revlon brush more, but I'm going to keep trying.
@allblackeverything206 I didn't like it because I didn't know how to operate it properly for my hair . Now, I know I have to use smaller sections and hold it in that section for atleast 90s. It's a pretty good tool and I love it now. I use it to stretch mine and my daughters hair, and on my husband's locs!
Aww Whitney I have the same towel for my hair, I got it a couple years ago when I bought your products 🥰 I like it’s it’s thick and stretchy and dries my hair fast.
I had the big bulky one. My handle did the same thing. Came out with wires showing. I replaced the handle and the same thing happened within 3 months of minimal use, I eventually threw the entire thing away. Hopefully, I will get to try out the new one soon. Thanks for Sharing

XO! I’m so happy you enjoyed the video Reign!! If your ends are a little rough, give them a trim! If they’re healthy but still looking rough, make sure you twist your hair all the way down to the very ends! THEN dry them in the revair while the twists are still in, making sure that the ends are completely dry BEFORE you unravel them to continue drying. That will make sure that as you’re stretching the hair, your ends stay looking curly! And yes! Reducing the tension is key! 💯💯❤️
I still have the OG revair and love it. It tripped my breaker a few times so I just turn off things I'm not using. I'm wondering if the smaller one has the same voltage otherwise I think I'll keep the original. Love your hair it looks beautiful.

Thank you for this review. Revairs customer service is top notch. They sent me a new hose because the old one stopped llatching and shortly sfter I noticed a crack in the nozzle and they sent a new nozzle and informed me that mine was sent before they included instructions to NOT use oil. The rep said they later learned that oils caused the plastic to crack. If using ouls caused your nozzle to fall apart they probably wouldve sent you a new one because yours was purchased before mine. On the other hand since you paid for this it reinforcess that you think its worth it. I think I saw instructions that mentioned tapping at the scalp with the nozzle and I noticed that keeps ot from getting too hot on my scalp.
Warning to everyone looking for old revair parts, my wand broke just like Whiteny's and I ended up finding the replacement products on the site. I ordered the part and they sent the new revair's wand which is not compatible with the old model, after contacting they said that's the only replacement available, so don't waste your energy.
Okay now after seeing yours I'm not sure which one I have because mine came with a bag. I bought one for an early Christmas gift. It is expensive but it has saved me so much time when I do my silk presses or stretching my hair I even use it on my daughter and she is not afraid of it.
There is hope for me ! Im gonna have to do the textured look ❤ I don’t like how straight my hair gets with the revair. I prefer the fluffy cloud or textured look.
