What a wonderful vacation. I can't get over how big Lexi is and already walking and running. Xander had a ball. It is so good for the heart to hear the laughter of children. Next year Xander can ride the slides by himself, if ye decide to go back. All the bears remind me of Whistler and Squamish here in British Columbia. They can get in anywhere. Being in a little band myself, I know how much that means. It made me think about how, in life, we just never know how much our actions and influence may affect other people. We have been to Gatlinburg several times. It is fun, relaxing, and educational. We too, don't like crowds but it is a beautiful place.

This was so enjoyable. I would love to go just for scenery but it wouldn’t be the same without my hubby. We always wanted to travel to Tennessee n other states but unfortunately dementia had other plans n it took him away from me. Xander looked like he was enjoying it so much n even Lexie was having a good time. Amazing of all the bears around. I think their trying to fatten themselves up to get ready for their long winter nap . I see Xander has lost his first tooth. Wow, he’s growing up so fast. I can remember when I first started watching you , I think he was 3 or 4. To think he’s started school. Time moves so quickly. It was so good that you guys got to get away for a mini vacation. It wasn’t Switzerland that vacation was absolutely beautiful but the kids enjoyed this mini one. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟

I agree that you are not lieing. It is an age limit because of how your bones grow. Not how big or small you might be, but the aproximadamente of your bone age and how mature your brain is to deal with the rules of the rides. The best is no one got hurt. You are the best of family. Looks like a lovely week! We drove through Gatlinburg this spring on our way to visit friends. We stopped at Parrot Mountain not far from Dollywood. We really enjoyed it, and so did our children!

We avoid big crowds too but it looks like it was well worth it, especially that cabin…I think I’d spend most of my time there, (but I’m 75 yrs old…that explains it!). I think Ober Park was the best deal of you time….so much for the kids to do without breaking the bank. You and Nolan are such great parents… lots of fun too! 🥰💞

I love your vacation videos. Crazy how many bears you saw. Looks like Nolan was having way too much fun on the rides. You were pretty good on those ice skates. Everyone seemed to have fun. I'm not a big fan of crowds, but definitely would endure it for my children. .

I am with you when it comes to vacation spots; nature with peace and quiet is my favorite. However, I love Gatlinburg. They have so many options, especially for children. Plus if you stay 15-20 minutes from the town of Gatlinburg, you get the best of both. The drive through the mountains is my favorite part.

My parents and I went to Gatlinburg every year when I was younger. Of course, it has grown in size since then. I love Gatlinburg, but like you, I prefer the cabin to be away from the crowd and enjoy the peace and solitude it offers. We do drive down the mountain into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to enjoy the many amenities they have to offer, but my favorite part is hanging out at the cabin and enjoying the mountain views. My husband and I continue to make regular trips there. In the last few years, we have seen many bears. This was not common until the last few years.

We went there one year at Christmas. It was actually pretty crowded. We spent most of the time at our cabin, & it was enjoyable. Gatlinberg was very beautifully decorated for the holidays,

I used to live outside of Knoxville so we went to Gatlinburg often. My mom had a timeshare there until she passed away. My brother is up there tomorrow for several days. They love the Greenbriar restaurant. You will love it there!

Glad to see ya'll had a wonderful trip. When I was a child, we took our summer vacations to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas. Imagine my surprise when I returned as adult to see how commercialized it had become.

Challe Village rentals are amazing! They have 3 pools you have access to as well. We stay there every year! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Dollywood, Anakeetsa, Chimney Picnic Area for grilling and creek play, The Orb water ball is fun too!

I loved it all, i am a low key kind of person as well, i Live the mountains and not so much the beachy kind of person. Looking at all of the beautiful moutains and seeing all of the vastness of them and Thanking God to be able to see what he has created and what a gift that is. God Handywork at it's best. You were about 3 hours from me! I love the Dollywood side. I have never been to Dollywood, but by kids all did. I told them to leave me at Ripleys in the Manta ray room. I could sit in there all day! We love Huck Finn's.

We love Gatlinburg! We go every year in the Fall. We hike most of the trip but this year we also are going to Dollywood which is a wonderful Amusement Park. Hope to retire around there one day. The Smokies is definitely one of my happy places! Love your video!

I enjoy going on your vacation and looking at it the videos. I've not been on a vacation for so long but my kids are grown and I'm thinking about taking one. My dad took us on vacation we went all-in Texas Washington all up in Washington d.c. Washington State then all over Louisiana kansas-oklahoma New Mexico California and Arkansas Texas I live there and moved Arkansas it's been 16 years since I've traveled I plan on trying to take a little trip to Texas. My husband and I went to Gatlinburg about 10 years ago. We had the same experience as you. The hiking trails were very crowded (very disappointed). Ober was fun for us but would have been more fun with kids. The aquarium was fun. The crowds in town were overwhelming! They have a few more attractions now that look fun to try. I retire in a few years and am looking forward to going during the week in autumn. Blessings!

We went up that mountain and down the other side. Our car broke down and we were the only one. But we LOVED it.

Hello! We have been keeping up with most of the vlogs that you produce.❤ The Momma Java project was super special. We have ordered the 🫘 and are enjoying making lattes. It is all for a good cause. Since moving to TN from New Jersey, we have hit most of the tourist attractions. Anakeesta was a favorite, Dollywood, The Aquarium. Some others in Sevierville too. In all of our traveld, we have yet to spot a bear 🐻Come to think of it, I dont think I want to😮 Blessings! Xander is such a little man. Baby girl has a smile that would light up the darkest room. She also has a temper, but hey! nobody is perfect! Lol! 😅♡♡♡♡

Gatlinburg is one of my favorite places on earth! We are headed there for a week at Christmas wi5h my son’s girlfriend’s family. I absolutely cannot wait! Last time we were there we got snowed in at our cabin down the road from Oner Gatlinburg. I’m hoping for snow again this year!

Every year my dad took us on a two week vacation everywhere..he just loved it. We will never forget the experiences we had...totally cool! Thanks for the great childhood Dad. Miss you.❤️

What a fun time! I'm with you, I prefer the more low key places and off times. I actually have lived in "tourist" areas (not MAJOR tourist destinations, but where traffic definitely increases) and I don't like it. I'm not a crowd person. When we took my son out to PA, we went on to NJ and went to Liberty State Park to see the Statue of Liberty, and I was so thankful for the weather, because it kept the crowds away! I have to say, Zander eating corn is priceless!😊

It is definitely one of my Favorite getaways, Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, lots to do there. ❤❤❤

We have been there a lot. We only live about 4 hours away. I'm like you I'm not a fan of crowds. Its definitely a beautiful place and worth the trip. Just not in peak times of the year

From what you showed, seems Gatlinburg can accommodate those who love the crowds and those who love a slower pace and quieter spaces. May be more a question of picking your times and amusement choices. Seems the bears have adjusted to the humans, but wish the humans would let them be a little more. Xander sure is a rollercoaster guy! Looks like he has a blast no matter what the activity! Lexi did great with all the rides. She really has the hang of this walking thing! Looks like Dad is coming around to having a little girl! Good to see!

We were there last week for our grandsons wedding. It was wonderful. When we got to the reception a family of bears were there. We did see the snout of mama or papa so needless tosay we didn't tarry to long getting inside. lol

We love the Smoky Mountains and we go 3 or4 times a year.

No Gatlinburg for me 😊 The children is what makes it fun and ours are all grown up ! My dream vacation would be sitting beside a lake or river with a campfire and lots of hot coffee ❤

Next time-go to Cades Cove. It’s one of my favorite spots in the world! We live about 3 hours from Gatlinburg. There’s a lot of fun stuff there but the commercialization is a lot!

Not my idea of fun, but with kids, pretty perfect really, so much to see & do, lots of opportunities to expel a ton of energy, learning opportunities and Lexie & Xander really seemed to get a lot out of it, I think I'd prefer that to some of the larger Parks (seemed much more laid back than D, for eg!) . I do love the Alpine slide, if they haven't got the auto brakes fitted (some people can't resist smashing into the people in front!) and without the queues they are a ton of fun. I'll share, as it looks great for kids.

We love Gatlinburg! We are definitely mountain people instead of beach people.

Looks like you had a very memorable family vacation. My ideal vacation destination is by the ocean, as trees are not my forte. I am allergic to pine, cedar trees. I am not a fan of the mountains. I could spend days at the ocean on the beach with a good book with only my husband.
