Collecting stem cells from umbilical cord is necessary cause it's the most pure form of stem cells, The life of stem cells is just 9 month hence preserve it in - temperature so it stays the same for years to come! Collecting stem cells from peripheral blood and bone marrow doesn't make sense cause bad lifestyle and age of the stem cells plus risk of other disorders already being there!
