What qualifies as a "real" in anything? A professional is someone who makes their bread and butter off that skill. Jake Paul is certainly doing that. Is a "real" boxer only the household names? Canelo, Tyson, Tank? What about all the boxers who never crack the top 100? Would you say a d3 athlete isn't a hooper because they never made the nba? Seems like the goalposts keep moving whenever people talk about Jake. The reality is he's been living and breathing this sport for the past couple of years. He's competed and been more active than many of the top boxers today. He has fought Professional boxers. On paper, he has upped the competition every time. The dude is a legitimate boxer. Whether or not he will be an elite level boxer is a different story. Still, the disrespect by people who have never done any of that shit irks me. Rooting for the guy
