In my opinion,Japan just need big playerr..like boskovic or zhu ting, they gonna be powerfull because they great in teamwork..just need one player with massive spike..😆
In all aspects of life, Japan is the most disciplined. The thing here in volleyball is that they need a main hitter so they can get to a better place. I suddenly missed their Ace Hitter which is Saori Kimura.❤️
Yes. I agree that if they had one main hitter (as they did with Saori), or two, they would be top 3. Their discipline makes up for their lower height. But all things being equal....they need a put-away machine woman.
No, Aiforus. They need a really great defense-offense team like the Chinese Athens Olympics team. That Chinese team were also short but defeated the much taller Russian team in what might be considered the greatest final in Olympic volleyball history.
In terms of play they usually go to the outside spiker and that's the reason why they are easily blocked, but I must say Japan team is one hell of a brave team, gentle but deadly. ❤❤❤
I like Japanese NT because they give a lot of drama in games. (opponent's error, long rallies, pancakes) now they are building new teams with young players, can't wait to see then in VNL n OG this year 😁 reply if you're a fan to lets talk hehe
No doubt they are. Their defense and commitment are remarkable, but they need a reliable attacking prowess like a Zhu Ting Or KYK and they can win an Olympic Gold. 💪
I love their plays and how they know how to play smart and their positivity but in all of these clips they are losing so I don’t know. Yes they have good plays but does it really matter when they are losing.
The longer you're in rally againts Japanese team, the most likely you'll lose the ball. They'll try to save any ball in any possible way! I'm hoping Ishikawa (the little sister) will be their new ultimate weapon 💪🏻
They are playing volleyball like chess. They foresee almost every predictable outcome and sets their formation likewise to counter them (and they stick to it tenaciously). It is as if they are trying to minimize the role of athleticism in volleyball. They are also much calmer than their opponents.
@@tahkio well, they are all Japanese after all so their backgrounds mesh well together. I have a friend who went to Japan to teach and she said that it was a very lonely place because making friends over there is very hard.
Ellie Geordana Right! I have family up there c: but you said it’d be lonely to be a part of their team which I don’t necessarily think is true. Joining a team would definitely speed up the process and being a teammate comes with some trust as well. This is probably universal for any type of team sport.
@@tahkio they sure look like they know and enjoy each other as teammates. But if you are from a different country, the culture and language barrier would be a lot.
It doesn’t make sense. Why the team choose girls nearly all below 180 cm. Although they play fast ,fluently, but they still can’t win matches against even Korea, not mentioned major powers. It is interesting to compare Japan with Russia, which is quite good at spike ,block but relatively poor in first pass and digs, but Russia win japan most of the time.
The "most disciplined team in the world" (for women) wouldn't have lost not only 0-3 to China in the latest World Cup but also an astonishing 10-25 in the second set. And the number of games Japan has lost to China since 2015 with players like Saori and Ebata are too numerous to count. One or two or even three tall players won't make much difference: modern volleyball needs nearly every player to be formidable at attack and defence. Besides China think of Serbia, Brazil, the US, and the emerging Russian team: the big shocker in Tokyo 2020 could be Russia.
Since China's victory with a team of short players at the Athen's Olympics Final the world has generally opted for tall players. China's re-emergence in Rio 2016 saw her team following the trend of using taller players. Japan needs to do the same thing. So far the best record in Olympic women volleyball belonged to the former Soviet Union. Among today's nations China is best with 3 golds, one silver, and two bronzes. Cuba is second with 3 golds, and perhaps 2 bronzes. Brazil is third with 2 golds. The teams that will give China in this year's Olympics a tough fight include Serbia, Russia, Brazil and the US.
