Is K Pop Culture Toxic? 

This should have more views. Gen z love to cancel everything but they are being surprisingly tolerant of toxic K-pop culture.

I feel proud that I listen to Indian Classical music and am now away from toxicity. Indian music is Soulful ❤

Girls in my country (india) are so obsessed with k-drama k-pop k-culture that they are leaving their own culture tradition behind .. a girl from Delhi or I don't know which state she is from but she ran away from her home to be a k pop star 💀lol and she was just 13-14 Specially these baby armies omg they don't even respect their own country. Thanks to God that I've been listening to 1direction , the local train, parvaaz , fat yellow moon, gumbal, sandunes ever since I was a kid

I was very much into k-pop 2 year ago during lockdown. But soon I realised that it is affecting my mental health and daily life in a negative way and it took me a year to normalise my own self. Plus ,at first everything was rosy but later on I lost my interest because everything was almost same in k-pop plus the toxicity and there is more of show off of clothes etc as compared to real singing . So yeah ...I am very much happy now with my Indian classical music and dance. ❤

Why do they call them Idols??? There Are So Many Great People In World Who need to be idolized !! Why these mere entertainers are idolized ??

It's like a industry making idols their slaves... They try to create attachment between fans and idols by sharing their sad story and how they become idols.... and each company follow this norm by keeping the fans engaged in them by doing vlive, own reality shows, etc

This is exactly what the girl and boy bands of the 1980's were like. It's nothing new. When I came of age in that decade all print and runway modeling and TV, stage and film acting was like this too. Also pop stars. It was all about landing and keeping that contract, no matter what. There were paparrazi everywhere and you were always "on" so you had to be very careful with what you said, did and how you looked. If you fell out of favor with the fans, critics, company which controlled your contract or any of the management team - you'd be dropped so fast it'd make your head spin. I knew people who came home one day and listened to their answering machines and learned that they were dropped from their contract. The only difference is that now they weigh you every other day. Back then we weighed in before every meal, men and women. This was to encourage us to make the "right" decision.

The title is misleading. There's no culture in KPOP. Kpop doesn't have Korean culture, it's manufactured.

every socially talent oriented industries are toxic but kpop is way more than that. imagine living for the company profit rather than presenting your talent in the best way, and provide support for their content and not by displaying their private and secret lives. well people nowadays are so obsessed into this without even realising its just so corrupted from their mutual rights.

I commented on one of the youtube shorts which compared k-beauty &styles from different countries in which I stated that I never saw any k-drma or idols without pale/fair skin which definitely restricts diversity and pure talents too which don't come in limelight due to such toxicity.Lots of support gained from different PPL and response but in end my comment is reported and removed 😂.Social media is helping to spread these toxic topics so we have to use social media as a defensive tool too.These kinds of topics needs to be addressed on mass level.

Remember , love kpop but dont get overly attached to it.

kpop has become a trend, that many young and lonely losers follow just for attention. they dont even like kpop, many who even hate it, which is why they cant wait to attack innocent idols the moment a hate train is created. you can also see how most of the newer kpop channels are also only after clout, so they create hate trains too, one look at most of the kpop channels you can see they are full of toxic vids, many of them use sub bots just to look popular and multiple accounts to act as their own friends, just to support themselves. thats why kpop community has become so toxic, not because of the real stans who respect all idols, but haters who dont like a single kpop idol, but still want to use their popularity for attention.

Behind the glitz and glamour kpop idols are normal people like this.

A lot of work and businesses still operate this way, even in America. It may be unspoken work culture but you are expected to act, dress and look a certain way or they will not hire you. It may not be as blunt as being weighed in front of the company, but there are people who are verbally abused at work but their supervisors, coworkers or boss. All of this still happens, just in different forms and varying degrees.

This is a wake up call for gen z 😆

MOST of you act like fans who owe their idols a lot and do nothing with their lives and keep streaming their idols music. Idols surely earn fame and money whereas these people are literally offering free slavery. They're making foolproof planes to keep breaking their idols records. Get a life people. These idols you think about day and night are just doing their business. of course it's entertaining we must appreciate it but remember they wouldn't show you a single move if they're not getting paid.

After This video my respect for all kpop idols has increased....i know its not healthy to be subjected to all these..but this shows their dedication their passion towards their dream...what needs to change is the mindeset of the society ..if that changes the system of the industry will change...if audience starts to normalize the image of idols the companies will be more linient while training them......

Western media will pick up all the failed so call kpop idols who failed to succeed in the kpop market because of lack of talent and hardwork, giving them platform to talk about how" evil kpop is" or the dark side of kpop😂. Looser goona complaint all the time that's how the world works. It's not just in kpop or any music industry or studies academics etc in any field you need the will and the talents and dedication to succeed. What's unique about kpop is kpop investment on random people who will never get a chance in western music industry or any industry whether holliwood or what not will never invest a penny on some random kids wannabe famous who doesn't have money or connections to back up. In Korea, if you have talents and hardwork you can succeed. In the west if you have money and family connections you can succeed. That the difference. In kpop industry invest in grooming the talents of their trainees. Also if you are in kpop group you have to follow and respect the Korean cultures. If you are so American why even come to Korea? Try your luck in Hollywood, don't come to cash grab on kpop success🙏

I think Kpop is the most healthiest pop culture to come out in a long time. In an era, where kids all stay home stuck to their phones and PCs, Kpop actually makes kids go out and dance! Remember the 90's when people thought hip hop culture was cool and they were going around shouting eastside westside and started shooting each other 🤣🤣
