I just love your videos on Kentucky. What I appreciate is your honesty and clarity on the topics you discuss. We are considering retiring outside of Nashville and I was just curious about Franklin, KY and then I got curious about Bowling Green. I am still in the research phase right now and will check out Kentucky thanks to your videos. My brother and his grown family live in Union so it would be a little closer to travel to see them which would be a plus. 😊 If we should decide Kentucky works for us, I will definitely reach out to you to help us find a place.

Hi! I was actually watching a different program, and drifted off to sleep ( due to sleepless nights), and woke up to your very pleasant video. I'm planning to perhaps move to Kentucky, so I stuck through it only to learn it's about retirement places. I'm in my 50's, so not too much longer. Ha! Thank you so much for this awesome video!🙂

If you really want to retire in beauty and comfort, Kentucky is the state, but Tennessee is better. Why do I say this? If you enjoy mountains and lakes and even lower taxes, just ask the Kentuckians who have moved to Tennessee to retire.

There’s not Jack diddly nothing in ky. The stars backwards, poor, healthcare ain’t very good. If you need help financially with rent and utilities, your screwed. The programs that suppose to help you are either broke, or tell you that they need receipts of how you spent your money and thy treat you worse than a dog when you ask for help. Food boxes are full of candy and trash food…and you only get a shoe box full of that. Then your told you can’t be helped for another month. I got fed up with the state and left for Oregon. There’s help there, loads of food, services for the disabled as ky has no help for the developmentally disabled. Oregon even has medical house calls. Ky, don’t. Ky lags behind real bad in a lot of things. Ky might be a cheap place to live, but, lacks heavily in every thing else.

@derekhall5555 it's all true . Ky is a horrible place to retire. Ky has no help for young or old.

Be very careful if moving here central Kentucky. Don't. It has nothing! But cows, want a hospital you have to drive over 1 hr to reach one if in the south central Kentucky. I'd sell my place in a heartbeat if I got out of it what it's worth. anywhere else, ppl would have a place to work. Don't do it! 😢 worse mistake of our lives.
