Salam, I have one question on your explanation. Sura Infal is totally related to War & matters related thereto. This sura was revealed after Jang e Badr. According to this sura all the war booty belongs to Allah and later in ayat 41 explains its distribution. Certainly it is 1/5 th. No doubt about it but it’s only relating to maal ghanima , which is war booty. How have you interpreted that same khums is also applicable on savings remained unused for one year? I could not find any logic as sura is clearly related to war. Please share any sayings or qol by any of the Imams. Whenever I asked this question I was told about 20% and who has right but not on the logic on which wealth it applies. I sincerely want to learn but I am not willing to accept anything without proof. Please help me understand.
+Arnold 1000 He will not be able to answer your question because you are right. Surah Anfal verse 41 which talks about khums (one fifth share kf Allahﷻ, his messenger ﷺ and his family) is also talking war booty. *But these people want to charge khums on Zakah to increase their own wealth.*
salam, did you even watch the video? from minute 9:00, he addresses your question and from minute 12:20 he goes on explaining. You just come in and give a question where he answers your question within his lecture, unbelievable. he gives his reasoning and if you don't find it reasonable make dua to allah to guide you, simple.
I disagree that khums is on gains of any sort. Imam Jafar e Sadiq hadis says khums is only on maal e ganimat war booty. Man la yahzarul faqih hadis 1646.
You're right, these mullah khums eaters have no clue about zakaat. they have nullified zakaat while they promote khums. We have at least 100 ayats about zakaat.
