Did Saban play for a national title game in his second year of coaching like Kirby did? Saban won his seventh title at age 70... Kirby won his second title at age 47! See where I'm going with this? Kirby has a very good chance of winning more titles than Saban and retiring when he's 63 instead of 73!

He, thanks to the success Saban had stepped right into a school that at the time was at the top of their division (both Tennessee and Florida were broken by Alabama and still trying to find prominence again). Kirby owes everything to Saban. Georgia ran off Mark Richt because he couldn't beat Saban. Had Richt won at least one national championship he would probably still be at Georgia and Kirby would either be on the Alabama sidelines or taken a head coach job at where? Ole Miss, Tennessee, Maryland.
