Of course, because she didn't invent this dance move. 😅 Someone made dance choreography on his, and went viral to tiktok and Tyla asked permission to use his choreography in her live shows.
Never fully listened to a Tyla's songs besides the bits I find on Tiktoks but god do I love her attitude, she seems humble and a girl's girl. Love how she responded to the Smart plagiarism allegations, maybe I should stan
@@LIFEASANIEEI'm pretty sure the choreographer didn't know and thought it was just a twerk move but either way, tyla doesn't own the bacardi dance move
Tyla said herself that she doesn’t own it and that she loves that bacardi is getting more popular and recognition. The people native to where bacardi dance was create said they love it too. At the end of the day it’s a DANCE, anyone can do it, it’s not copying and the songs are completely different minus that one dance move.
@@audreybaltzer7196 honestly, I have no idea. probably because they’re just lowlife losers who have nothing else to do in their life, but the other reason could be because of jealousy. they’re the same people that say “i hate how k-pop idols have to go through toxic fans being so rude and mean 🥺” then judge the idols for the littlest things they do..
Is Tyla the main artist known for this fairly well known dance? Yes. Is everyone doing it copying her? Not really. She is popularizing it like Shakira was popularizing belly dancing in the 90s, but anyone who did it wasn’t copying her because she didn’t invent it. And Tyla is just celebrating her culture and making it as popular as possible, so people following her trend is exactly what she wants. As long as no one doing it is trying to claim originality, people need to calm down and enjoy Africa being the focal point in music, because it rarely gets the credit despite it inspiring the majority of pop music.
Shakira dropped her 90s albums when she was 13-15 years old... Nobody knew she was belly dancing at that time... she was playing guitar and singing mostly... Just saying... That belly dancing stuff came after 2000... hips don't lie is from 2006.
@it.comes.around 1. "Ojoa asi" has 2 scenes that are actually belly dancing. 2. The reception of Shakira as a belly dancer in the 90s wasn't a thing because her music wasn't everywhere. There was no youtube with all the nonsense on it now. MTV in Africa, europe, and Australia wasn't playing Shakira music videos. It wasn't "popularized" so much as korean pop was before BTS appeared. Her career for dance came later... And yes I watched her rise, im a 1990 kid, and I performed with her at the World Cup opening in 2010 with Fusion Lordz crew in South africa.
@@AirbornSoul013 it may be a couple scenes, but it was bigger in performances and making an impact in Latino America so much so to that she decided to include it heavily into her English debut. Popularization in one area before global popularity shouldn’t be discounted simply because it didn’t happen all at once, especially when it was far more difficult to do it at the time. It’s also like saying K-pop was nothing much until hit the western mainstream, bit it already had a huge impact in SE Asia and had huge pull. BTS was popularizing K-pop in Latino America and more before it hit the mainstream, so just because it wasn’t the same with it in the mainstream yet, is that to be discounted? The comparison comes from Tyla making Bacardi popular outside of Southern Africa as Shakira was making Belly Dancing popular in Latino America, both by celebrating their culture and heritage.
@it.comes.around 2 scenes. I watched it over again. 2 scenes. Lol and America is less than 14% of the world's population... known by 50% of 14% isn't "popularized". Thats like saying Amapiano music was popularized by Kabza de Smallz in 2010...
As a South African I can say ‘WE DON’T CARE!’ We’re trying to get rid of the current ruling political party this is only an issue to non-South Africans🙄 Some people need hobbies because Joh this is unnecessary😂
I said the same thing and the fact ppl still got mad when tyla tweeted her nice comment that she doesn’t have a problem with it and she was happy about it and ppl still shamed LESRFM & KOL. 2024 is just getting worse on how ppl stoop so low bullying ppl.
The fact that ppl were so rude to LESRFM and Tyla HAD to tweet she didn’t mean no harm to other people who just inspired by her and she didn’t on the moves herself and people getting pissed off and giving the K-pop girl groups insults and death threats just says a lot. and it’s embarrassing. 2024 is getting out of hand it’s getting worse everyday into this. People need to stop insulting ppl who are INSPIRED by a person who created a trend and etc and LET THEM be inspired on how they want to! it’s a free will anyone can do anything they’re inspired to! It’s ashame still how tyla immediately had to come out with the tweet addressing it. Now ppl are targeting KOFL now 😭
Tyla has made this type of dancing much more popular but she didn't invent it. This also isn't the first time Kiss Of Life has twerked almost all of their chores have moves like this. Tyla is a such a sweetheart for supporting them
it’s super similar and nobody was doing this (bacardi) in kpop until tyla went viral. not saying it was copied but i DEFINITELY think it was inspired by her move in water bc of the arm placement. denying obvious similarities does nothing for anybody. it’s ok for artists to be inspired by each. kpop stans just blow things out of proportion bc they’re toxic and obsessed with competition. (don’t hate me cuz it’s true. also not replying ✌️)
Tyla didn’t invent that move. Tyla used that move that comes from South Africa, she is just one of the main artist known for it. But she didn’t create that dance, she’s just an artist that is known for it bc it’s more so a South African move. Other ppl are allowed to use that dance move as well. Ppl over react about everything.
It’s the literal move for Tylas song jump and Julie done the challenge for it before the song released, she probably saw the move and wanted to incorporate it into the choreography.
It's the trend, of course they'll do it. Especially since they are quite known for there ability to REALLY shake it. We should see this as appreciating there ability to do this so we'll.
They obviously are, the thing is Tyla made that dance style popular thats why people are copying to gain the same popularity but tyla makes it look good because she is south african
dancing is not copying, i think that’s what’s wrong with people these days because they think just because some other person does something and someone else does the same, they think it’s copying. in some cases, yes. but in a lot of cases, no.
Tyla doesn't own a dance move. Many kpop dances have African/Bcardi dance moves in them. This style of dance was always a thing. Tyla just made it more popular.
FR, MOST OF THE KPOP SOCIETY IS HATING ON ALMOST EVERY LITTLE THING THEY DO AT THIS POINT THEY MIGHT EVEN HATE IF IDOLS DO DAILY THINGS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😤😤😤💀💀💀💀💀
I swear tyla is even trying her best to stop people from thinking that the bacardi dance style belongs to her, like yall lets not get into conclusions 💀😭
they were likely inspired by her as tyla’s gotten extremely popular and went viral for her dance/music..however, that doesn’t mean they’re copying her. doing a dance move isn’t reserved for one person, they can in their music video too. hating le sserafim or kiof for this is ridiculous when tyla herself has done nothing but support them. pitting successful women against each other is all the internet can do at this point
I did notice this right away, the move looks similar to the one in ‘Jump’, not ‘Water’ as shown in the video. Like LeSserafim , I think they used this move because it was getting very popular to popularize their comeback, which isn’t plagiarism but just sad.
Tyla is a cool ass chick! She understands that dance moves don't belong to anyone and are popular in a lot of cultures. KPOP stans need to calm down frfr!🤷🏽♀️🙄
some k-pop stans gotta chill, like the littlest things get them upset and they then spread hate, all of them also think everyone is copying their favs and that their favs are the best, its so annoying
It’s a popular South African dance move yet however tyla made it more popular and you know how the industry works they see something from another culture and they use it just like Le sserafim did in smart I don’t blame the member I blame their management
